    Honestly... they both sound like their top corded detachable. Oster Classic 76 for the sound of the Oster Octane. Andis BGRV for the sound of the Andis Supra ZRII. Got a good idea on the two. Both even.

    Hi. I understand that you were trying to do it one handed but there may be some people out there that are new to detachables. I'd just like to point out that when putting on a blade you should always have the clippers turned on (or running, if you like). Having it turned off when you remove them is fine though. Personally I have the Supra 1's and have no issue with the non removeable battery as they are returned to the charging base after each use. Can't comment on the Octanes as I've never used them. Thanks for the video

    Honestly the supras way stronger like wayy but the slow speed of the octane gives u a good even cut. But yes still a tie 1 stronger heavier and quieter but gets warm. The octane lighter stay cool and feel good in hand. Keep note depending on what brand of blades you use contributes to how loud the clipper run . The andis blade brackets for the detatchable is super quiet compared to the oster

    i just had to return 2 andis zr2's. i bought a pair and the power would cut off if i didnt hold the power button up. both pairs had the same exact issue. the face plate that says "zr2" on it falls off 9/10 times i take the blade off. Also, personal things i didnt like about it were how the power is delayed once you power them on, and the strangest part was that on the back of the clippers they both said for household use only. i dont know if they arent made to the same quality the original supra was made but i am highly disappointed in the clipper. i thought maybe the first one was a lemon but back to back lemons?! i exchanged it for the oster octane today and will be getting them sometime this week. Hopefully those stay on and work lol for 300 a clipper should turn on and work lol. just my 2 cents

    I have to admit I find myself falling back to the magic clip after I i remove the bulk on bald fades. Adjustable options just gives you everything in between when its time to remove 00000. Slight tapers though its alot cleaner and quicker to use detachable blades!!! Common knowledge amongst barbers..

    These are awesome for bulk. Or if a little kid or somebody just wants a 2 on the side then fade the edges with adjustables. Plastic gaurds just take a little longer to scoop up all the hair imo. But I dont use datchables for anything under a 1.5...usually

    First fade I done in barber school was with detachable blades. Quicker and easier for me. I can do a blurry fade in under 10 mins on any type of hair. From a 000 to 1.5. Before that I had never used detachables but after that I made sure to order a pair and have had the Supra since 2013 with no issues. Love em. When I get bored with using adjustables I just switch up to detachable and Vice versa. Love both but if I have a super busy day it’s detachable for me.

    ive got the octanes, & i have been a big oster user for 30 years, but i haveta admit im having an issue with the larger blades, like a 3.5, staying tight to the base via the spring loaded tongue... it tends to push off & become "disengaged" during the haircut... just wondering if anybody else has had any issues like this with either machine? thanx

    Chris Pasley oster fast feed with the white ceramic blade (used to zero gap the clipper) also, the double magnetic andis purple guards. For a trimmer I would say a skeleton modded andis gtx or a skeleton modded andis t outliner with the gtx blade that’s very close to zero gap.

    Chris TheOne there’s no such thing as the best but certainly there’s tools that perform better than others I recommend if your a beginner for trimmer andis styliner 2 and wahl senior corded with wahl magic clip blade on it. You’ll never need anything else the best of the best if you buy cordless in the long run they not going to be as durable as the corded ones now if you want cordless I would recommend wahl magic clip and andis cordless touliner hope it helps

    Having a variable speed on a bulk clipper is the dumbest idea. MAYBE there could be a reason for it on fading clippers... MAYBE, but with a bulk clipper you want to eat through as much hair as possible. A bulk clipper that stops with a finger on any setting is useless.

    Jameson Watchman, I’ll be honest, not once have I needed a different speed for anything. I really don’t understand the purpose, except that we all have a preferred speed. They say slower is good for beginners. I usually want max speed but then the blades get hot too fast, plus they start to get loud. so often I use #3 speed.

Clipper blades get hot too fast: The reason why I'm asking you because you are Clipper Doctor!!!! You know your knowledge on clippers you have over hundred clipper WoW! I review your video on REMATCH: Andis Supra ZR 2 vs Oster Octanes and Andis Supra vs Oster Octane. Detachable clipppers in my opinion are great for fast close to balde fading or Cutting bulk this is for corded or cordless other that that they are useless wish the detachable Where the size of reg clips!

  • @franktorres-cruz9170

    @franktorres-cruz9170

    4 жыл бұрын

    What are you talking about? The reg clips don’t compare to blending with detachable blades. You blend 10 x faster because you don’t have to be going over the same spot over and over. Way less passes than adjustable clippers. Only downside is that it’s a big investment. But anything that makes your job easier is worth it and will pay out eventually overtime.

  • @robertwilliams7842

    @robertwilliams7842

    4 жыл бұрын

    I said it and meant it when it Comes to accurate fading and Blending any clippers with a Lever on the side blends better! Detachable clippers are better if You want to bald out fast or cut off Large bulk so unless you are on a Military base cuting tons of soilders Or have customers you want to cut Bulks of hair off or bald out they are Not worth the bang for their buck in The reg barber shop the styles and Cut clients rock give me a clipper With a adjustable lever on the side! As a matter of fact Marvin who has Done this review has sold both pair But has clippers with adjustable levels On the side! My point a clipper that has a adjustable Lever to instantly adjust you can blend And cut faster with the adjustment is A finger click away vs changing out 12 different whole blades!
