Great explanation. I just ordered one. I love using the steel detachable blades but I hate the noise and this one isn't so terribly loud, especially on the middle power setting.

What are the different speed settings for? / useful for?

@@ronkumar1093 I use the higher speeds to mow through thick or long/tall hair really fast and when I'm fading I set it in the middle. I never use the bottom two settings, which are the slowest, but if you use slow hand strokes you could cut thin or spotty hair because it would certainly pull the hair if you use the very slow setting but use fast passes with the clipper. Slower settings are also good for very small children because the clipper is very quiet. It really comes down to your needs and preference. But this is a phenomenal cutting machine if you have the blades necessary to do the job. At least size 0000 up to the 2 and more preferably a 3 3/4.

@@louiswhite1445 Thanks! Thats awesome! Mine arrived this week with the 00000 blade and I been using it for the skin line on skin fades and also clipper over comb bulk removal. Most powerful clipper I have ever used and very time efficient. It does heat up quick but my uses are just for skin fade and well overgrown hair

Hey, how many detachable blade come with the machine?

I just ordered it hopefully bwill make a good use of it

@@theshedgroomingstudio1394 yeah I'm sure that I will, I heard a lot of good things about it and it's my first detachable clipper I love to start my haircut with it for bulking

Fun fact, your 3 1/2 blade is your #3, 3/8 inch, while your 3 3/4 blade is your #4, 1/2 inch. Not sure about 5 speeds?? I've used the bgrc for about 6 years now..

Oster has the volt and the occtane.

I haven't heard of the Volt, but I have heard of the Octane. I personal opinion of the Octane is that it looks really nice, but it's not very good.
