Reisbergs 7 stages of dementia (aka the Global Deterioration Scale)

Reisbergs 7 stages of dementia (aka the Global Deterioration Scale) Review
Reisberg's 7 stages of dementia also known as the Global Deterioration Scale is a helpful framework for understanding dementia and its progression. It also gives healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists and OT students, a way to communicate the functional level of an individual based off of their functional capacities. This review is a brief overview of the 7 stages and i hope it serves as a helpful introduction.

Thank you, I was unsure before now but it is clear that my younger sister with early onset Alzheimer's is at stage 6. The nighttime incontinence is really wearing me down.

Found this definition on the web: An ADL refers to the activities of daily living while an IADL is short hand for the instrumental activities of daily living. Both are used to determine how much - or how little - assistance your aging loved one might require.
