Amazing boots like always but the natural leather welt color just stands out way better than being dyed brown but either way great job! It's all about what the customer desires.

@@AaronG2480 it seems as though the screws are a necessity because of the hardness of the sole to keep the glue from separating. Am I on the right page? Also, I can't believe more of your videos keep popping up on my feed. I'll get to thee end one day.👍🇨🇦

Always love your videos! I’ve been dabbling in shoe repair. I re-soles my redwing IR last month and fell in love with the craft. The problem I have is sourcing shoe repair material: soles, welt, tools, etc.. Is there an online retailer you would recommend for materials? I’ve found some things on Etsy and eBay, but those sites are hit or miss. Thanks!

Hola, tengo una duda, tengo dos pares de iron rangers en amber harness, unas son completamente nuevas y las puse en venta porque quiero unas negras, si no logro venderlas mi idea era darles una entintada, crees que preparando la piel, lavando y limpiando agarré la tinta negra? Did the customer say why they wanted extra leather on the inside? I don't think i've ever seen that done.

Hi Drew, it’s a very simple reason. My feet are in between size. Half size smaller is too tight and won’t stretch enough. Half size bigger make me feel like my feet are swimming inside the boots. I was using insole for awhile, but I hate hearing the squeak from insole after a few uses. That is and only reason why I wanted the extra leather inside the boots.

No storm welt? If you are there doing the repair, I do not understand why some people do not go the extra mile to incorporate a very important part of the boot. Storm welts are very important. Even if you do not get them wet that often... At least that is my philosophy. For your back you need to see an Medical Doctor. Remember, you only have one back...

One of my favorite work boots its those blacksmiths and iron rangers my three boots for the week iam in them from 415 in the morning to 730 800 at nite as an electrican

Shank is righ there min 11:05 Wrap up in white canvas You didn’t pay attention I Just didn’t record it. Any red wing boots with heel have the shank wrap up with either white, orange or blue canvas
