My biggest complaint about Iron Rangers is the thin soles. Ouch. With a substantial resole like you did here, that is now a very fine boot. Looks great and should last a long time too.

@shakebake2680 The midsole adds to the separation of the foot from the ground. The thinner everything is from your foot to the ground, you will feel it. Also, those soles will make the feet feel nice.

Those boots are 100% better than they were when they came out of the factory. You are a master of your craft.

Love that bit of a cowboy boot heel rake. Adds a little flow and balance to the back of the boot. Nice work

Very nicely done! That's a tough looking sole, which I'm sure will serve your customer very well. I didn't know Vibram made a gum-rubber colored sole. They certainly have something for everyone. Great job, Aaron!

Amazing work, I especially like the fact that you cleaned before the rebuild and oiled after you were done, you don't see a lot of thies other places doing that, they might but you'd never know it. Thank you for taking the time to make the video

I really appreciate how you wrap the shanks before putting them back in the shoe. A lot of cobblers just leave them bare when they put them back.

I think they look cool doctored up. Both the Ir and Mocs are like a blank canvas. Granted you can order a pair of nicks with your own personal touches for the cost of an Red Wing plus all the cobbler labor

Got the same question ... what the use or function of that ? Can imagine that it connect better the outer-sole onto the mid-sole ... but is gluing not enough ? Certainly if you're adding screws. In fact have the same question with adding the screws ??? or is this just for esthetical reasons ?

Red wing wraps the shank with cloth to prevent squeaking. The piece of leather is a cover. So you don't stand on the nails. The redwing one was probably wore out.

Do you do mail in resoles? I have a pair of 8085s that i need this done to. But woth a black outsole. Please reply

Gracias Esto no es cómodo para nada , o más bien dicho estas suelas no son para ti Tus botas de trabajo traen suelas suaves y tus blacksmith suelas de hule delgada y sin midsoles eso lo hace peor. Saludos!

Saddle Soap. Friebrings white can is what most people use.
