Good morning Don. It certainly has moved up a gear, and since I filmed these scenes, it has moved up a further 2! The weather is the problem this season. If it is too windy, that's it as far as any further visits and filming goes. I'm hoping to get there once or even twice more but not too confident. That said, I have been since I filmed the scenes in this video and have 2 more videos worth of footage that I am currently editing. Hello again Rosco, it was a shame that during the fight scene, the wind almost blew my tripod over and it wrecked the video I did manage to get. Due to the winds on this day, around half of everything I filmed was too shakey to use. The thing is that everything is so so far away and I always have the lens fully out, so the wind can easily cause camera shake. At least the other half was good enough and the storyline of events is still good. It is easily the most beautiful location I have been to for the last 3 seasons now. Thank you for your continued support my Deer friend. 👍◕‿◕

Hello again Jane I love this one too! The stag deer can be very sneaky and then they just come out of hiding and go after the females again. I am glad the end fight did not hurt the deer. Thank you :)

Hi Badger, indeed the Stags can be full on after the females without any thought of safety one minute, then be very sneaky and seemingly think of a cunning plan, the next minute. It can be very entertaining and interesting to watch play out if you can spot what is going on early enough. It was nice that none of the Deer were hurt. The Plovers are calling me but I did not resisted and watched the Deer rut, once again! The strong wind must have been Your strongest rival this time, but the sky was amazing, both when blue and when passed by fast clouds! You paired extremely well the music, dear Jane! I noticed that especially in the first half. Impressive job! The Stag passing from shade to light was so wonderful!!! By the way, the grey Stag seems to have his right eye not completely open. I hope he will be fine. Thank You dear Jane for showing us this marvelous drama!!! Have a great weekend ahead, with luck and... health!!!!

Hello Andrea, yes the wind was a major problem the whole day. My initial thoughts after under an hour were that I had made a mistake going, but then it was far windier the days before and after this day. I am still waiting for perhaps a last chance to get there again. Last season I was able to go 9 times and always in good weather. This season I have been 3 times and there is perhaps another week or so left of the rut. However, I have plenty of footage to make at least 2 more Deer videos so all is not lost. The music took me a full day to find and figure out but now I have a copyright issue despite paying a £7GBP monthly payment to use the music. It is a time-waster trying to sort that out and quite annoying, but there are worse issues in life so no real worries. I will have to have a further look to see the right eye problem. You must have watched closely to spot that my friend, I am impressed. It's always a pleasure reading your comments as I know you watch fully and I know you care. I have not had any real pain this week, so I count my blessings there and do as much as I can, without hurting myself. Thank you so much, my valued friend. I wish you a wonderful weekend. 👍◕‿◕

Never worry about being behind Andrea, you take as long as it takes in the time that you have. Now the rut is over, and I have made my last video public earlier today, I will be going back to posting a video just once every 3 weeks, so we will both have a chance to catch up.... me with other things. You will be dedicating a video to me? To me? I don't know if I deserve this, but I am honoured and will look forward to it, whenever you get the time to do it.... what a lovely thought my dear friend, thank you. Hello again Steven, yes the editing does take a long time and it would be easy to make 2 or 3 smaller, shorter videos, but I do like to try and show the story unfolding in some sort of order where possible. Hello my friend! I enjoyed watching your interesting film. The only pity is that the wind interfered with your filming. In our region, deer hide in the forests, they rarely go out into the open, only at night. So this is impossible to see.

Hello, again my friend, yes the wind is hard to escape in this location as it is literally like a wind tunnel and if it is blowing in the direction straight down, then it can blow your tripod over easily. (It once did and my camera was cracked) It is a huge bonus to be able to see the Deer out in the open and this is the best place I know for this by far!
