Red Berry Rd Attic Fire 6/2/24 Levittown, PA.
On scene video of a dwelling fire in the Red Rose Gate section of Levittown.
Fire companies were dispatched to Red Berry Rd shortly before 2:00 Saturday afternoon for fire reported in the attic of residence. Levittown #2 Assistant 13 arrived first on the scene and confirmed fire in the attic of the second floor as established command.
William Penn Engine 77-1 and Levittown #2 Squirt 13 arrived and went in service with tools and a handline to the second floor. Squirt 13 dropped out to a nearby hydrant and established a water supply. Crews made access to the fire through an interior panel on the second floor and made a quick knockdown.
Penndel Tower 8 crew checked for extension through an exterior vent on the second floor. Third District Tower 14, Fairless Hills Rescue 31, Newportville Engine 82 were also on location. The fire was placed under control within a half hour with minimal damage to the dwelling and no injuries to residents or firefighters. Middletown Twp Fire Marshal was on the scene for an investigation.

Wonder why both of the first arriving engines did not get a water supply. Seems like a lot of unnecessary work to go back to a hydrant.

Thats the typical response for a dwelling fire here. Three engines, two ladders and a rescue truck. Mutual aid companies occasionally will also respond with any additional apparatus if there is report of a working fire.

Does that mean that hose is damaged for good or the connection just came loose?

the needles california fire dept could handle that with 2 engine and a 9 firefighters.
