    I didn't think so. If you want it thicker you could leave the lid off and let it simmer until it gets to the thickness you like. Just do it slowly so it doesn't burn.

    Try using cubed beef instead of ground. I would serve the beans as a side dish for those like me who do not like beans in chili and chop up a pepper f whatever strength you like (I like habeneros) to add a bit of heat and color.
