I’m Mexican and I love meatloaf but it was something my mother never cooked so I never learned how to make it. I was looking around for recipes and they all seemed lacking flavor to say the least. So happy I stumbled on your recipe because my whole family loved it even the picky ones. You have a new subscriber ❤.

This recipe is perfect! I had 85% grass fed ground beef and cooked in a glass loaf pan at 350 but increased to 375° in the middle of baking for about 15 min. Then back to 350° for remainder of the 1 hour and it was amazing!!!
I had been trying to make the perfect for my whole marriage. I just had an anniversary of 45yrs. I could never get the solidness of the meatloaf without burning it. After trying your recipe, this is my all time favorite! The Best Meatloaf I've Ever Had. And the 1st time making it, I forgot the egg! (Still good). This time around I didn't forget. This is the recipe I was looking for! Its simple with a lot of flavor. I was taught this recipe decades ago in Mexico City, but over time forgot some of the ingredients. My mom and dad, from Wisconsin would make it on a semi regular basis. Once we returned to the United States, they added an ingredient we couldn’t find in Mexico. They added 1/4 pound of pork breakfast sausage for every pound of beef. I think they used breakfast sausage because it was easier to find than ground pork. Either way I LOVE IT ❤, THANKS FOR BRINGING IT BACK TO ME. 😃

As a kid, I was never was a big fan of meat-loaf, (now that I look back on it, I'm sure it was the process of combining milk and eggs.) Start eating more of it the past few years. This looks delicious. Will give it a try. Thanks for the tips, Ma'am.
I wish I could post a pic, this was absolutely a winner. After epically failing meatloaf in the past. (Like to the point that I was nervous when hubby said he wanted meatloaf). I searched high and low for the perfect redemption recipe and hands down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS IS IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hubby ate two helpings and the plate looked like he may have licked it clean. (I can't swear to it lol) . Not only that, I made this recipe for myself using Impossible meat and it was a hit for me as well. So I just wanted to say a huge thank you, for posting this recipe!!!! YOU ROCK

@@SoulFoodCooking I raved about this recipe so much, that my mom asked for the recipe. I sent her the link.
Okay. Made. In oven. Gotta say that if the ML is as delicious as the topping is, its gonna be fabulous! The topping is absolutely delicious. And there's plenty to dip the meatloaf into as you're eating if that's your thing...and its ours! I'm gonna make this topping to use with other things. The more the better. Bring it on! I am thinking it's very versatile!!

Excellent! I love your exit song too. Thanks!
I made this today. Followed your recipe and instructions to the tee with the exception of using panko instead of italian bread crumbs but seasoned the panko with oregano, basil and thyme. I gotta say, it was super moist and pretty good. The only change i would make is the quantity of glaze. I had so much left over but will probably use it on leftover slices. Thanks for the recipe!
Just made this recipe!! OMG . I’ve never added half and half. What a difference!! Super juicy. I did add Italian seasoning. I’ll make this again, hubby loved it also!! ❤❤
I've done a ton of meatloaf recipes off of YT over the years. Haven't ever gotten as many compliments as I did with this recipe. I did omit the sugar and added about a tsp of allspice on top. This recipe is a crowd pleaser for sure. So good!!! Thank you!!
Perfection! I swear we must have grew up in the same house, learning the same recipe. This is the way I learned too! BUT!!!!! I learned a secret from a nurse who helped deliver my 2nd son. We shared recipes one day before we left for home. She said, add some kosher sliced dill pickle in the middle, just a slice or 2 and be amazed. She was right! A little bit of the juice added to the middle, just a little, makes that loaf delicious beyond belief! Don't knock it until you try it!! Hands down, this recipe, you can go wrong. This lady knows what she's doin! She cook like my grandma.
I made it for dinner tonight, wife called it the best meatloaf she's ever had! It was so moist and delicious!
