@@thomasweatherford5125 I seem to remember one video where Scott didn't holler coming down the ramp but i believe the suspension on that vehicle was in really rough shape but i was still expecting to hear it none the less 😅

I have no experience with repairing vehicles, nor bodywork and I'm probably as far from mechanically inclined as could be (Sys Admin). Yet I still enjoy seeing these transformations. Proves that putting in the effort truly yields the best result.

The videos in this channel are more educational than fun. Thanks for the sharing. nice move 3:36😁

@@vehcor absolutely. I have two extra 00 to 05 reg cab plastic short bed Z71 in my drive, and about once a month someone asks me if I’d sell one. The 00 has 349k on it and they still want it… weird.

@@MK-hx5wd holy cow, that’s high mileage! Sounds like you have a survivor. I like the front end on my 00 better than the cat eye. And I don’t care for the hood coming over the front fender. I’ve been wondering if a good winter project would be to swap the front ends. The 05 only has 89k on it, 4:11s and a 6” lift.

Didn't think there would be enough meat on the bone flipping a fifteen year old truck but being a Texas truck at least it's not crusty. Watching South Main Auto repair (upstate NY) channel everything he puts on the lift you have to wonder why it doesn't fold in half with all the rust. 👍👍👍

I was thinking the same thing but then again, used car prices have skyrocketed and ANYTHING is worth 50% more than it was last year. Not to mention pickups were already fetching a premium. Where I live, before the supply issues with new trucks, even an 11 year old F150 with 240,000 kms was going for $18,000 cdn. The thing that would kill that up here in Canuckistan is the 2wd. Only good for the summer.

These trucks will always bring good money. Pre DOD/AFM. 5.3s are hard to kill until 07 and all of them eventually have cam/lifter issues.

@@chrisp9836 as long as it doesn't have that cylinder shut down feature. Those engines dont' last at all. (sorry, forget the technical name for it).

Always enjoy your rebuilds. After watching your rebuilds I'm impressed with level of attention and detail. Wish I had your skills and patience.

My work had 06 Chevy 4x4 that drove up till I retired. 2 years ago. Loved that truck. The looks and the lines . ❤️

An ad that has the words "Texas Truck" for folks in the salty midwest, is like catnip. Good strategy.

Bought totaled in Texas the land of Paint Corrosion and Fascism....... Repaired to better than new and sold in Illinois the land of Rust and Corruption!

That's way cleaner than my 2011! Stupid winter.

I like opening my KZread and seeing that you have posted another video. One thing about watching your videos and KZread suggesting other like videos is i am seeing that other people are just hacks. It shows me that you truly do the best work. i would only hope that if i had to have any kind of accident repair done that it would be done with the same quality as yours Scott. It seams to many people rely on body filler and covering up damage. Thanks for all the videos.

Really like this build! I have a 2006 Sierra 4 door 2wd as well. I had to travel pretty far south of Indianapolis to get a rust free one. love these trucks.

That was just getting interesting when the video ended. Looking forward to seeing more progress next time. We also have that peeling clear coat issue here in Queensland. Our 1997 Charade has lost most of its clear coat. Fortunately, the Charade is the only one of our cars with clear coat. The others have real paint.

From Houston, be careful, they have had some terrible floods and hurricanes. If you think road salt is bad try salt water.

Pizza Girl does crossfit, gets distracted by a random tire. Scott stays buff by - Scott Powered ram; removing & installing seats; tailgate removal and installs (watch your back Scott!); "suspension tool workouts", and random ramp screams - among many other routines. It's a sad state of affairs when Scott has to go over 1000 miles to find a decent auction 15 yr old GMC for the emporium!

Hay Scott, this is an oldie but a good one, Last of the real GMC trucks. But it sure shows how hard to find trucks are these days, hell any vehicle is hard to come by, bet this one has a 190 thousand miles on already ? But never the less, this is going to be a good build. Hey Scott I hope that you grabbed that Canadian Toonie "Two dollar coin" that was on the back floor , put that in the center console so that the haters can cry even more LOL . That will be a real nice truck when you are done and personally I did not see any safety violations. You had your safety squint engaged !

For some reason, I thought that maybe we would hear some Waylon Jennings music play here. Like I don't know, the theme song for "The Dukes of Hazard" perhaps. That's until we saw how you jumped in the truck!!!🤣

When we put the rear seats on, they are folded forward and we use a lap seat belt around the seats to stop them 'wandering' whilst they are being moved.

Ahh yes my favorite a GMT800...need more of those reliable beasts.

Nice! The scream is my new favorite. You have to give her another opportunity. I replaced the rockers on my '07 Silverado Classic last year, and there was nothing behind mine, not even the inner rocker.

The venerable GMT800 chassis...I love these trucks and we still have one in the family (my son's now). I know that purple wire! I installed a factory rear defrost in the old Silverado. So easy to add factory options that the truck didn't come with...

12:55 "just a little wiggle and pull" sounds like a typical friday night for me! ha!

I like the stabilizer feet for the trailer You need to rig the cranks to accept a socket for the cordless drill.

Love these trucks when you get them. Hey, don't throw out that rocker piece. It may be mangled, but it's rust free and better than mine......Yes, I live in Canada and our trucks come standard with the free weight loss program, same as yours in Chicago! A rust free truck like that, I'm betting you have it sold already!

The GMT800 was/is my favorite vehicle and I have owned just about everything since my first car in 1978. Nice work Scott, that one should sell quickly once you have massaged the wrinkles out. Your Amazon store has just about everything, but no pizza girl? Must be a maintenance issue. :D
