Another great addition to Scott’s GM Truck Emporium! I love watching you remanufacture these vehicles better than they were manufactured. 😊👍👏🏻
Lol! Thank you Scott! As much as I enjoy watching somebody who's skilled put things together, it's your sense of humor that makes it perfect !
I so look forward to your videos. Your skill, wit, and charm are on full display. Do not change anything!!!

The truck looked real nice Scott. A good clean rust free truck is always going to sell , 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive. Especially in today's crazy world where a good vehicle is difficult to find. Just one thing that I could see is that you need a bigger container for the haters tears. ;-) Thumbs UP man !

Your ability to determine which trim pieces get cleaned and which remain plague carriers is unmatched in the auto salvage world!
Once again, nice job Scott. Beautifully done. Nice non-Illinois vehicle. Finished product looks like a new truck.

I know I'm an old man now but I love these trucks. Someone got themselves a jewel in that one. Really well done Scott.
I had to laugh at the drain plug comment. That was good, Nice work. I put my vinyl flooring in the bath room, works really nice.
Things I didn't know...the magnet in the drain plug is used to calibrate the compass...Brilliant!
Привет, Скотт! Как всегда твоя работа выполнена на высоком уровне! Удачи тебе!!!
As always, I enjoyed following this project. It really amazes me how much todays vehicles are snap together.. How did we ever work on cars before pins, tabs, clips and Christmas trees when every part had a screw, bolt or nut?...lol

I absolutely love your wise humor!! haha You threw us a curveball at 27:30. You had said at 5:45 that the interior was complete, then you start working on a door panel arm rest? What the? haha I grew up on the shores of Lake Erie in Ohio and our entire family (5 of us) survived all winters long in 2WD vehicles. 4WD's are for those who can't drive 2WD's! haha Excellent video Scott!!!
Awesome video Scott. I'm going to watch it again for Dinner and early Saturday before my Workout

I've started a new work schedule and now I have to wait until Friday evening to enjoy your videos. The wait can be pretty rough sometimes! Thanks again for the education disguised as entertainment.
As usual Scott, another fabulous repair. It really amazes me the effort you put into these rebuilds. Most of the truck rebuilds come out nicer then when they let the GM line. If I lived in the USA I would not hesitate to buy one of these rebuilds from you. Thanks again for sharing Scott.

I hope you cleaned all of the interior!!!!! : ) nice ending ,lucky for the container for tears.
Loving the Lemont High School background.

Nice! People love trucks from that era and especially rust free. I own a 2005 chevrolet that's rust free with 375k miles. I live in NC too and it's nice. I'm not surprised you sold it at all.
LOL magnet to calibrate the compass.. so so funny haha
I have a 2007 Silverado and did the vent solenoid at 50,000 and still going strong at 160,000. It was a GM part. Funny we have 2 mid 2000's suburbans at work with just under 200,000 miles and both just required the vent solenoid and the block off cooler plate gasket replaced. And one needs and have the rear main seal replaced, and did the other this past summer. Now that is not cheap when you have to take it to a good mechanic. Great job on your videos.
Thanks, Scott! I always wondered why they magnetised the engine-oil drain-plug.
Well Scott-gotta say that the hidden dirt trick is a great idea! When the new owner sees the bad MPG they will wonder where all the extra weight they are hauling around is. But we all know it is to give traction for two wheel drive in snow. Great job. OH, will you ask around for me,, my kitchen floor is missing some Vinyl planks? Stay Happy and well, Rich
Good job. Really thorough build as always. I'd spray the underside with Fluid Film.
Love watching your videos on Chevy and GMC trucks brother. I've got a 2000 Silverado and I love doing projects to it. Also, I admire your sense of dry humor, it's funny in it's own way. Some of the people that criticize your work and safety probable haven't done anything like the content in your videos. Thanks for all the educational videos.
Amazing work I wish I could follow in your footsteps. I have always loved working on cars and trucks but never could get in at an apprenticeship level dealerships are to cold hearted. You’re living my dream you rock !!!!!! I also love that gmc sierra I wish I had $$ for it but no go. I work my but off but I’m still broke.
Nice work. That is a sharp looking truck.
tip ....dont use 3m masking tape 3/4 for lining up moldings , instead use 3m 1/4 blue fine line tape as it provides a strait line n no risk of pulling paint off after molding install. Ur videos are improved over say 3 yrs ago..well made n commentary is excellent.
Done, nice project. Waiting for the other 👍

What a great finish! That truck looks beautiful. How many other shops would have fixed an evap solenoid, replaced front end parts, brakes, tires, oil let alone the A/C fitting. If I lived around there, nobody but you would touch my Canyon, nobody. Your shop is the kind of shop you could drop off a vehicle say take your time and fix whatever you’d fix on your own, and never have to worry. It would be done correctly. Your channel is the highlight of my day. You look fine in the hat too. You even put it on in the right direction. Thanks!

Loved the vid. The oil plug had been replaced by Jiffy Lube the magnet is what was holding it in LOL.

Very excellent exceptional fix

🤣🤣🤣 I was going to make the joke about the compass but ya beat me to it. Great job as always on the build!
Great work on the rebuild, scott! Always good to see the finished product. I liked the comment about pinching wiring in the sill plate, yes It does happen. Don't worry about the kids and thier comments about being bald, I get that all the time, doesn't bother me. Looking foreward to the next build!

Yeah, you don't need a 4wd truck. The manufacturers made people THINK they needed one. In the old days nobody had 4wd, and we all got through winter just fine. A set of actual snow tires is all you need. Another fine build!

The arm rest is used to stand on for easy access to the top of the cab for washing. It also allows for the door hinges to be readjusted. Lol seen that done at a car wash.

Always excited to see new videos, also I bought some shirts from you. Thank u!
I'm new to your channel. After 50 years in the automotive business - 35 as a line tech, I'm impressed with the quaility of work you do. However, I have one question. Did you actually just use an impact wrench to install the wheels, or at some point did you use a torque wrench to prevent rotor damage from the wheels not being torqued in sequence? Whatever, your overall quaility of work is outstanding and I will continue to watch because it is a breath of fresh air to watch someone that is an expert in their field.
Nice truck!!
