Completing the rebuild of the last failed rebuild on a 2016 GMC Terrain Denali
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
Totaled, hacked, totaled, and repaired... This Terrain has some history. It is time to finish it up. All the parts we were waiting for have arrived... or so I thought. Just typical rebuild problems but it will all get sorted out this time. Since there is some mechanical work to do there will be many specialized tools used in this video. I also share the little known secret to keeping these 2.4 Terrains from experiencing many of the know engine issues.

Yep, I agreed with it. GM says to trust their OCI lights, but every one I had the carbon sensor goes bad and sometimes it will tell you that you need to give it an oil change 500 miles into the previous one (and, yes, I do reset them properly), and sometimes it won't tell you that you need it at all. So I just stuck to my regular, changing the oil at around the 5,000 mile mark and called it good. Part of the reason why I like how Subaru's handle maintenance. You just program how far out you want the intervals to be and it keeps track of the mileage and/or months.
I can not help but to notice how the sound of the panels snapping together is therapeutic.

It makes me think that these things were made to be put together, not taken apart. It's way less therapeutic to disassemble them while avoiding breaking them.

I just realized what Mr. Spotty's problem is. He just doesn't have the "stick-to-itiveness" required for success at a high level.

I love it when you call it a bumper when if you so much as lean on it in the cold it breaks. I'm old enough to remember when bumpers were heavy, chrome and didn't break if you looked at them.

@@vehcor Yeah, but you didn't make sense. It is not illogical to stick to manufacturer specifications for oil and oil change intervals, unless it turns out that they are wrong. Synthetic oils can last over 10,000 miles.
I love watching this man he is not afraid to draw tears of the easily offended. Gotta love it.
Scott and his famous sarcastic humor is a thing of beauty.
The car looks amazing. I think what you do to bring these vehicles back to life and giving someone an affordable vehicle that will last someone a good long time because you go through the extra effort to rustproof them and make them better than they were originally is amazing.
I would buy a car that you repaired any day. Meticulous work, fun to watch. Good memories of when my daughters were new drivers.
I was very impressed with that tire-wheel mounting technique!

This gentleman repairs the vehicles into better quality than manufacturers selling them as new. The JD Power award for fixing shitty OEM build quality goes to this guy. After all that would be the only JD Power award that's actually of any value.
Always amazed at the professional approach of properly repairing a vehicle like this. See you in the next installment.
This running monologue you give us, it's not scripted, that's just you, there is no way you have enough time to write that much tongue in cheek material . Love listening to it.

I cant help but wonder if some of the folks who buy them see the videos and see just what was screwed up and how you fixed it. Your humor is priceless..dont ever change as this world so needs a ton of humor in huge daily doses. That oil that came out of it looked black as coal...and that cabin filter....YUCK!! You sure do make it look easy. Looks good.
Scott, you would think by now I would have learned not to drink a beer while watching your videos! You owe me a half roll of paper towels! You didn’t say which tool you used when you installed the spoiler, shame, shame! My brother had one experience with jiffy lube, he had them do a full fluid change on his Ford pickup, yes I know, I hate to admit that I’m related, two strikes, a Ford and jiffy lube. They replaced all the fluids except for the rear differential, they left it dry. It cost them thousands of dollars to settle with him after the rear end locked up at 70 mph. So, no more jiffy lube. Btw, the freight liner I drive with a Detroit DD15 has recommended oil change intervals of 50,000 miles. We change at half of that. Another great video. Dan.
