Could this be the end of the Dirtnali?
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
It has been almost two years since I rebuilt the Dirtnali but the time has come to finally button up the rebuild. With close to 70k on it, it is time for new tires but Mr. Spotty wanted to be SURE it was time. Some regular maintenance, extra rustproofing and some finishing touches will all be included in this video, but is it over?....

Your work ethnic and attention to detail is certainly inspiring. I’d buy anything you have repaired no matter how badly it was totaled
I've been watching Mustie1 put together lawn mowers while I could have been watching you put together the truck I own? This is awesome, great work. Amazing.
My week was spent replacing struts, shocks, sway bar links, window regulators, blower fan resistor, ignition coil, new side view mirrors on my 22 year old Town and Country LX. Now I'm doing the new headliner cloth.

Another great video Scott. I remain impressed with and admire your level of integrity on these builds. I realize you are videoing what you do for all to see however, I'm pretty certain even without that evidence you wouldn't change a thing. Knowing your attention to detail I wouldn't think twice about acquiring one of these vehicles from you. Keep up the great work.
Scott, love your videos and keep them coming. Humor is good as well, you’ve taught me more about a vehicle’s anatomy than I realized and I’ll be replacing my OBS Chevy rockers & cab corners now after understanding how vehicles are assembled. Thanks again Fran

Hi from the UK. Recent convert to the channel, loving the builds, loving the dry humour even more. Keep doing what you're doing, really enjoying the videos.
Love the videos. As a fellow Illinois resident, I appreciate the effort on the cavity wax. Vehicles without it do not last long in this state.
Well the afternoon crew knows what to look at for sure!
The Dirtnali is no more. Good job again!
No doubt, you do good work. Thanks for another great video..
I’ve owned several rebuilt cars, they last forever. Except the last Dodge neon I owned back in 2007, that one got hit head on during a snowstorm..

Hard to believe it's been so long since I started watching, I think the "mistake" truck was the first build I saw (crazy youtoube suggestions) and the dry sarcasm kills me. I work on all my own junk because I can, and have to. I have picked up tons of little tricks just watching you, THANKS!! And the outakes and "what's in my console" segments are priceless. I subconsciously started saying "in the pile" whenever working on my junk, or cooking, tossing cans and scraps or whatever in the trash, so much so, my wife does it a lot now too. Cracks me up everytime.

Scott, finally a feature-length video! None of the 12 to 18-minute shorts. Now I can sit down with a Diet Coke and a chicken salad and enjoy a feature-length rebuild completion. I can't get enough of filling doors and other panels with wax, or, for that matter, poping out and plastic body clips. Spraying the nearly entire undercarriage with was particularly thrilling. I do, however, pity the fool that had to edit this gargantuan video. Beautiful truck, btw.

I have found lots of them but they are WAAAAY overpriced.
Grand AM are great cars, had two since new, first was an 86, traded in with 315 ,000 kilometers and 2nd was a 96 and ran that one all the way to 465,000 kilometers. It was still running strong when I scrapped her, she had so much cancer and the heater core was done, with some other issues. Did not make sense to invest $$$ in her. Regular oil changes and maintainance works, too bad not everyone does it.
I'd buy anything off this guy, knowing its now better than when it came out of the factory.
I have that same truck, I want whatever center console you have in that thing in mine!!
I would have laughed so much if you popped out of the back and said "so if you don't want to miss any more car repair videos, be sure to ring that bell!" in your best Scotty Kilmer impression. Bonus points for adding some round frame glasses.
Got to love that platodium

What a sweet truck.... So nice. Great job on this one. Luckily, it's not done, so you can't sell it... Whew! That was close..... The rain coat looks funny, but does keep you dry... which is nice... The life jacket?!?!? Heh heh heh! Had to stop the video, I was laughing...... Nice! That silly hoist deprived you of the true joys of doing an idler arm, while laying on your garage floor... @@vehcor Those window vents in "smoke color" are ideal in the summer. Look good and make the interior bearable upon entry with the window open that little bit.
Wait, HOLD ON JUST A SECOND.... Bed LIGHTS?..... Dang it, I'm getting older, I need those now too!! Oh, and yes, torque oil filters to 6000 ft pounds, but transmission plugs do not go to 5000. You tighten them until they strip out, and back them off half a turn. That's the perfect torque right there!
@vehcor
3 жыл бұрын
You don’t know how important bed lights are until they go out! 😂
That trans filter has a large round magnet that is suppose to be moved from the old filter to the new filter. Maybe you did it and it was cut from the video, but, it's pretty important. Thanks for the video.
Seems like those door sill areas would be a good place for GM to put those heavy duty clear coating stickers like those used behind and in front of the rear wheel well and the rocker panels to prevent paint chips. You get a lot of mileage out of your bumper installation tool.
You were probably not aware that Mr. Spoty is a Great Ford fan. So get with the program.
You have a very adorable personality, at least the part we get to see :-)
Scott - Jiffy Lube's torque-spec is known as "FT". It roughly translates to 6 ugga-duggas.
'Playdonium' bumper material, opposite of UnObtanium. Always entertaining!
I’m so trusting of you Scott that I give it the thumbs, wait for it, up before I even watch because I know I’m going to learn something and be entertained also, great job gnomes 😇 ps how’s the mustang coming on
awesome...
Just remember to have fun out there. Yep, that was in the console too. Definitely needs a hole in the roof.
YOU LEFT THE BAFFLE DIRTY
Is the truck really finished, appears to me that something is wrong with drivers window....... 👍 keep the rebuilds coming!
i believe on some year models like that one they changed things to make it easier to service plus alot of times they can void warranties is you remove the trans pan so making it like this with a replaceable external filter no need to drop the pan hell wish my 04 sierra was like this
Great work Scott. I wonder what you plan on doing with that Sun Roof :D

Considering how fast used truck values have risen I wouldn’t be surprised if you get more money for the truck now than you would have 1 year and 20,000 miles ago!
Wish I had the green to buy that truck!
I dented that chrome bezel around the license plate ($400 bucks) so had to tear it all down just to get at the mounting bolts did it on my garage floor, dam, that bumper is heavy!
I really appreciate G.M.s use of 10mm. bolts .
never lift it all that does is lower its resale value plus it looks good nice work man still dying to see the mustang project though been watching that since day one
There should also be a donut magnet on the old trans filter to transfer over to the new filter, if it didn’t have one!! My 2015 lml has one anyway,!! Just thought I’d add my expertise in there😬🇺🇸
Man you are to funny I would buy a car from you before I would a dealer 😎 truck looks nice good job ✅And I’am going to get a couple shirts for the summer. Your new nickname the The Waxer 🤔
