I can easily see why you had to REBUILD the whole truck I had a 96 F-150 the biggest pile of junk ever foisted off on the public you name the problem and It had it even stuff that can go wrong did anyway, But of course you had to completely overhaul your own POS Oh hey I already know.

Reminds me of my Dad. He could fix anything and no sloppy job. He could work on German, English, Italian, and Japanese cars. He always said the Japanese cars were the nicest to work on. He said the English and Italians can not make cars and must have been drunk when they designed a car. Germans were good and over engineered their cars. But in any case he passed away in 1989 and I miss that man a lot. He had 4 trades to his name and could do anything and do it well. Good job guys you take me back to a good time in my life, and your work is excellent.

As someone who maintains a fleet of trucks with 3126s, I'd love to have this truck as a personal rig. Those engines go forever. If this was a giveaway rig, I would sign up in a heartbeat.

In the 70s my uncle a bought a wrecked wonder bread delivery van. It had a 4 cyl perkins and 6 speed transmission in it. He put it in a GMC 4 door truck, he was a driller at the time and hauled his crew to the rig with it. Ran about 65 or so on the highway without much throttle, had to cut a hole in the hood to stuff it in. In the 70s mcdonalds had these snorkel type tops on trash cans at the drive thru, looked horrible but worked. Very nice work men.

If I'm understanding correctly, he put McDonald's trash can lid over the hood to cover the top of the motor? Thats hilarious. I hope he left 'Thank You' on the lid!

@@tylerpalmer8722 It was mounted like a cowl induction so Thank You faced the windshield. My uncle was the driller on a rig and my cousin worked on his crew, a OHP stopped them outside of Enid. He was so interested that he let my cousin who was driving go without a ticket. My uncle said when they took off he looked in the mirror to see the OHP standing there with black soot falling around him, said he knew he was going to come after them but never saw him again.

@@brokendad2222thanks for sharing, funny story. I was imagining the Thank You flap opening and closing like a throttle body valve Lol. Of course not realistic but funny to imagine.
