How did my rebuild hold up after another wreck? The cheap Grand Am is back again!

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

There are a couple business models that work. If you work to find new customers, you don't need to do decent work. If you do a good job, you don't need to find new customers. I have chosen the second model and it was slow growth, but I have never had to spend money on advertising to find new customers. Sometime the customers like my work so much they want me to do it again. That was the case on this Grand Am we rebuilt on the channel a while back. You can see all the videos in that series here:

After 38 years of driving I've had 1 accident, caused by an 85 year old man backing UP an onramp to the turnpike in a raging rainstorm. WHY 1 accident in all those years you say? Because I pay attention to the road always, ignore my phone, rarely break 5-7 mph over the speed limit because I'm not a self centered/impatient asshat, I check intersections before I pull through and I watch for white hairs like an eagle and avoid them like the plague! Success!

I’m interested in the price of the repair. Granted this example looks clean, and it would be the “devil you know”, for the owner, around here those are $2,500 cars. My impulse would be to just find another. I drove a 98 to over 260k miles where the odometer broke. She never gave up the ghost and ran when I got rid of it. Super easy and cheap cars for the average shadetree to keep on the road. Tons of parts availability back in 03-07 as the local yards were full of them back then. As a mechanically inclined college student paying his way through school, it kept me on wheels.
