How did my rebuild hold up after another wreck? The cheap Grand Am is back again!
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
There are a couple business models that work. If you work to find new customers, you don't need to do decent work. If you do a good job, you don't need to find new customers. I have chosen the second model and it was slow growth, but I have never had to spend money on advertising to find new customers. Sometime the customers like my work so much they want me to do it again. That was the case on this Grand Am we rebuilt on the channel a while back. You can see all the videos in that series here:

@@vehcor How can I get in contact with you about seeing if you are interested in my 2004 Infiniti QX56 113,000 miles clean title runs/drives but has rust underneath ? I know you have a disgust for rusted vehicles. I’m located in West Pennsylvania.
Well Scott, it appears that people love the way you repair vehicles so they crash them again to watch you do the awesome repairs. Win-win for you and your KZread community. 😁

pretty cool - only sell cars to customers who keep bending them - or only have customers that insist on driving in the snow that bend their cars and keep returning as Scott done such a nice job the last time - like it

Well to be fair, it is literally the logos on his back haha...REPEAT being the culprit
I like your videos! No music, no time lapse... Just straight up worksmanship at work! You've earned a sub.
Scott , being an equipment mechanic for over 45 years I completely agree with you about arm chair experts . It’s nice to watch your work just when I am getting to dinner on the night shift in NYC .
“Drive, Crash, Fix, Repeat” 🤣🤣 the follow directions 🤣🤣
Had to retire my 2000 GT with 250k miles about 2 months ago because I fell in love with hatchbacks. Great rebuild and a really nice car.
No wasted motion, no redos, everything fit perfectly. Next time someone gives you sh*t about your work, tell them I personally am telling them to f*** off! 😆 🤣
Every time I watch a Grand Am repair video, it makes me want to rush out and buy a wrecked one.
Love the no nonsense adult presentation! Educational as well as entertaining..
Brother, I got to tell you, this is my favorite automotive channel on KZread. I have learned more from your channel about late model vehicles than any other channel. Excellent work, sir. Keep up the great content.
Scott goes a long way in redeeming faith in mechanics. It is a crying shame there are so many bad, bad mechanics out there. Paying sky high hourly rates should result in great work.
Well Scott, I would say, they deserve a free T-shirt of your collection. They did do exactly as it say: "DRIVE, CRASH, FIX, REPEAT". 😉
After 38 years of driving I've had 1 accident, caused by an 85 year old man backing UP an onramp to the turnpike in a raging rainstorm. WHY 1 accident in all those years you say? Because I pay attention to the road always, ignore my phone, rarely break 5-7 mph over the speed limit because I'm not a self centered/impatient asshat, I check intersections before I pull through and I watch for white hairs like an eagle and avoid them like the plague! Success!
Great Friday treat to see the good work done to put this nice looking and practical Grand Am back on the road. There is no reason this car can't have a useful life and the owner get good value from it. Waste not, want not. I hope the owner can keep from hitting other large objects.
I watched this complete episode, whilst on the toilet!
Can’t see both sides at the same time …….. creative pinstripe freedom!!
"The drive axle is Bluetooth...Our work area has been marked 'safe' from rotting carcasses." Classic! It is a good thing that Scott's Grand Am Emporium is still in business! Great video.
Scott I want to thank you for making the world a better place to be 1 grand am at a time. 🤣

I came for the unloading and I'm not disappointed!🎉🎉🎉
The scream off the trailer never gets old. 😂
That was the best trailer unload yet!! 😂😂😂😂
Nice job Scott-It still beggars belief that certain People believe that all Mechanics are Bodge Artists, some of us do the job properly with no short cuts just doing a decent & honest Days Work👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
You dry humor makes me cry with laughter! Love the channel!
I enjoy you working on grand am cars,I have a 03 gt sedan. I've learned so much from watching you, keep you the good work buddy.
Brother I have no problem with your repairs I have been doing it the same way for years and years .👍🏻
Yes another Grand Am absolutely love how easy these cars are too work on.
I am always amazed in how you make the work look easy and it’s not. I like the focus you have on every build and have learned a great deal watching your channel. Thanks Scott

Love the video, great work as I would expect nothing less from you.
Saturday mornings are the best in my house, because by the time I get up and make a pot of tea, it's time to watch your latest download. We are 5/6 hrs ahead in the UK so perfect timing to start the day, I have never understood why certain types of people who obviously have no skill of their own need to bad mouth people who actually are extremely good at what they do. Please keep doing exactly what you are doing Scott, and ignore the rest. Plus more GMC trucks please it's what I drove when living Canada.
Mechanic glitter. That's new to me. LOL
YAY bonus scream!!!
Well, it seems it doesn't take a real genius to figure out that you're the type of guy that doesn't cobble stuff together. I don't know you from Adam but watching your videos tells me you do things right the first time. Keep up the great work and the hilarious sarcasm!
These Grand Am won’t keep away from you 😂
I loved the “ship it”, about fell out of my chair. I was amazed the ABS sensor wasn’t shredded in the accident. See you in the next installment.
That was so good. The repair was appropriate for the car.
Man I love those old Pontiacs
Scott’s grand am emporium never disappoints.
vehcor Friday everyone. Best day of the week. Hands down, Scott has the best vehicle repair channel on You Tube. Great job as usual Scott. Thanks for sharing.
What is wrong with people? Seriously, this was my dream car back in the day! This and the Grand Prix GTP! They were comfy and moderately sporty for fun!
Those grand ams are so easy to work on and you make short work of it. 👍

One of my favorites for sure.
Damage the axle? In 25 years, I only damaged one, I used a press instead of a hammer, flared the end so the first 1/2" of threads had to be ground off so nut would fit again. It was my first one, old timer said, use a hammer. Never damaged another. I worked in front end shop most my life. So, rock-on Scott.
I definitely need that Snap-On edge hood alignment tool in my shop!!! 🤣
I have got to get me one of those hood edge alignment tools. An ingenious invention!
This video is literally the business model "Drive, Crash, Fix, Repeat." To the PILE!
Love those grand am in coupes

Scott I totally love your videos for the humor, sarcasm but most of all the content , you are one of the very best channels and I look forward to every video , thanks
An excellent job that saved the owner some and you got to revisit an old friend. Those ponies are hard to beat down and its a shame that GM doesn't still make them.
I’m interested in the price of the repair. Granted this example looks clean, and it would be the “devil you know”, for the owner, around here those are $2,500 cars. My impulse would be to just find another. I drove a 98 to over 260k miles where the odometer broke. She never gave up the ghost and ran when I got rid of it. Super easy and cheap cars for the average shadetree to keep on the road. Tons of parts availability back in 03-07 as the local yards were full of them back then. As a mechanically inclined college student paying his way through school, it kept me on wheels.
Scott got to that energy absorber, and, that put me in mind of, sometime in the 70's some cars actually had Plastic Bumpers full of water supposed to absorb impact energy, came in handy if you ran out of Water while broke down in the Desert..
Thanks for brightening up my day.
Just found your channel and love it. In the UK pinstripes are fondly known as go faster stripes, these are worth about 10mph or a tad more.

I miss these Grand Ams!!
I'll definitely drive up to Illinois just for you to revive my Grand Am, I just want it to look brand new, mint condition, with a better exhaust.
Dang it Scott! If this keeps up you're going to get pretty good at working on late '90s through mid 2000s Pontiac Grand Ams! 😂😅

I’m probably only responsible for like half of them left on the road. 😂
Scott you amaze me with your automotive knowledge and skills the sign of a true maestro is you make it look so easy that even someone like me could fix it by just doing what you are doing, ps i didn’t hear you say click when you were putting things together so are you sure it won’t fall apart when you hand it back, pps I’d to pause and enlarge to see who the mumb nuts guy was who falsely accused you of not doing the job properly well done for calling him out
I love these videos there weirdly relaxing
That looks like my Canyon behind you 😁
Your past Grand am repairs are what brought interest to me to discover your channel. I still dream of my Grandam Se back in 2003. It was a great car, I'd buy another today if Pontiac still existed.
Awesome job Scott, you make it look easy bro
I like your work and humour, it would never get done in the UK Regards Doug.

I'm fully convinced, after rebuilding my share, that these cars are possessed. Magnets for accidents.
Good video. The Grand Am must be a favorite for you to rebuild. They seem to be straightforward built vehicle. Thanks for sharing
Awesome work Scott!!!
Scott, I have repaired suspension like this before and you make it look so easy and I know it is not that easy. You are a pro!
Scott, I would never think you’d do shortcuts in repairs. I appreciate your honesty and integrity you use in your business. Cars are better than new when you repair them. They my not be entirely clean in areas you cannot see, but the are roadworthy and safe!
@9.22 .... Scott..... You're a lunatic ! Hahaaa !
you should order the Home Depot hood alignment kit it includes 2x4 spacers
No rest for the wicked, and the righteous don't need it.
As someone that used to do this, I also had a surprising level of repeat customers. Some people wreck a staggering amount of vehicles.

They took your slogan on the T-shirt very serious!
Perfect as always 👍🏼

Excellent job again Scott. Drive, Crash, Fix, Repeat.....
9:14 Rollin over here. The entire sequence... laughing my ass off.
My favorite is back !!!!!
Kinda funny with closed captions, when you throw something in the pile it captions “Applause” lol
Nice relatively easy and quick job for you and economical repair for the owner . Looks good !
"gut'n'tight." hilarious.
I've been driving for forty-two years and had one accident. An idiot without brakes was trying to nurse his broken car home. I just happened to be the unlucky person driving in front of him when a light turned red. That was in 1995. My son on the other hand... I remember when pinstripes were painted on

Nice Grand Am ... outstanding work again Scott! Shame the owner doesn't really care about it or can't drive his/her way out of a paper bag! Tell them better tires (the ones on there look crappy) are cheaper than metal work and paint. Don't even know how to buy correct wiper blades.
Mine just need a crash bar and bumper cover...no other damage if I lived closer to you I would pay you to fix it...
Good job👍 I'm surprised how many suspension joints have grease fittings - they're almost extinct in Europe, on cars anyway.
Guess those new rules on Twitter are deadly! For birds and Grand Am's.
That emporium place has everything.
looks real nice good job
The pin striping came off my 1999 Alero from the car sitting covered in deep snow. It didn't leave a mark or anything.
You should have heated that tie rod up with oxy before you hammered it back into shape. That would have really stirred up the hornet's next. Anyone with any common sense would know that this is a temporary repair, just to get it off the trailer and you'll replace it later while doing other repairs.

Most of the very same keyboard warriors that complain about something being done wrong, Themselves do the very same thing wrong. They find it impossible to resist projecting their own guilt on to others allowing them to feel righteous about their own wrongs.
