The fact that he didn’t pick Reba over Linda Davis blows my mind

NOBODY will ever come close to Ms Reba's talent. This is what I grew up listening to and I'm 42 years old now and I still listen to THIS kind of country. Ms Reba's beauty shines through her voice not just her looks.

I saw this tour in the Tacoma dome the day after Reba broke her leg sking with Linda Davis.. She said the show must go on and danced her butt off with her leg propped up in a recliner all night.. Linda Davis popped up from a riser ten feet in front of us during this song.. I pointed her out to my friends and said there's Linda Davis.. She smiled and waved at us! 😁

What makes this video so good is how good both women look and how well Linda Davis sings.

I read somewhere years ago, that originally they didn't have that piece at the end telling us that it was all a video shoot and none of it was actually real... which is the total opposite of what they're usually going for in a music video.. ESPECIALLY in Reba's because the video's usually paint u the story to see as you listen.. **side note** I MUST SAY that Reba has so many of the BEST music videos I've ever seen as they literally feel like you're watching an actual movie or short film!! Back to this particular video... When Reba watched the finished/almost finished full video, she really felt some type of way about her character blowing them up like that, because she didn't want people to see it and think she could ever get so mad or hurt that she'd even think about that kind of thing! Or think that she could ever even WISH she could or want to cause harm for revenge even if she'd never actually go thru with it! So she came up the idea at the end to sorta lighten it up and make no mistake that it was just a silly type of thing making a video instead of ending it that way and almost condoning that type of thing... I REALLY LOVED hearing that!! I dont even know if that's what really happened or NOT, but i can see it fitting the REAL Reba's character and personality! In my opinion she's just wonderful and crazy talented!! 🤩

Loved this video. Linda Davis has an equally powerful voice to match Reba’s. Why haven’t we heard more from her?

I've often wondered that too. She did the demo for the song and that's why Reba chose her for the duet. I will say this, we got the next best thing with Linda's daughter, Hillary Scott. Now that girl has some talent. She auditioned for American Idol and didn't make it very far at all. Now she's one third of one of the most popular country music groups.

Patti Guevara I use to think the same thing about this song, but now i think it's a conversation between these two women who have come to the realization that they love a liar. They both love him, but they are trying to reconcile their hearts with their logic. If he is okay with lying to one, or even both, then does he tell the truth when he says he loves them? They're not mad at each other, they are trying to work through a very confusing and hurtful situation.

Well usually women dont typically blame the women unless they find out that the woman knew. Like a friend of mine had a bf and he was cheating on my friend and when she saw the girl she told her and the guy wound up been broken up twice.

They were a perfect duo! This song fit a relationship I had in my early 20’s.

This was the video that got me interested in Reba McEntire! It was the white ensemble and the smile at the end. Brilliant!

I remember watching this video on CMT when I was a kid back in the 90s, was my favorite country music video!!

Linda Davis literally gave birth to a beauty and a beautiful voice in Hillary Scott.

I noticed they used the same colors in new video white for Reba and green for Dolly, the same as in video, also Reba is wearing the same white foxtail wrap in this video and in the new one with Dolly, very good to tie the both together

Fun Facts: Reba had a growth that was removed from her forehead right before filming this video. That's why something is constantly covering a part of her forehead. Also, Reba was filming a movie, "North" in 1993, and the ending of this video coincided with the last day of filming for that movie as well. Which is why Rob Reiner is at the end, on the movie set, yelling, "CUT!" The outfit worn in the end of this video is also an outfit she wore in the movie.

Her mini movies are awesome, but Cher has done full movies where she isn't dressed in her underwear and had a long career as a tv star on the Sonny and Cher show. She has worn a ton of outfits and has an amazing voice. I mostly want you to see that what a person wears doesn't define their talent. Their talents aren't diminished by what they wear, or how they look either. Cher and her ilk are people too and they don't deserve to be torn down like this. Reba is a class act and part of the reason for that is how she treats others.

the original ending was actually just supposed to be the explosion but it was thought to be too violent and giving victims of infidelity "ideas" so they added the part on the end with Rob Reiner. Either way, a great video and some powerful lyrics and beautiful voices from both ladies!!

Patty, Reba, Trisha, and Pam were the last of the true female country singers. I miss true country music. Especially a powerful female vocal.

I still remember the first time I watched this video when it originally came out. My jaw nearly bounced on the floor at the explosion! This is still one of my favorites and probably always will be. Back in the 80s and 90s, we went to pretty near every concert that came to Baton Rouge, the home of my birth. We saw Ms. Reba three times! That was before concert tickets became as expensive as if made of gold or platinum rather than paper. smh
