Understand too clearly....loved him more than he loved me. But I stayed .. Sadly he passed. Still love him. Miss him dearly
That line......,"so you lie, buy a little time..... ". Cuts me to the core. Makes my soul weep.

Reba was the next logical step from Patsy. And the true tragedy with the equally no nonsense Ms. Cline, besides the obvious, is that She perished way too soon. No one really knows what achievements that She could've made. With Reba She went on from a Hall of Fame Recording Career to Her own Sitcom and a run on Broadway in a Musical about the life of Annie Oakley. Miss Patsy Cline would be very proud to see Her legacy on a live Microphone served so very well.🤔🎤💃🎼🎸🎹🎻B.W.

There was a Song in 1971 by Miss Connie Eaton called "Don't Hang No Halos on Me." For a one off it was pretty powerful. Mournful to the very finish and The Outro was "Rebaesque" NINE whole years ahead of Her time! Definitely worth the listen.🤔🎤💃🎼🎵🎶☎️🎹🎻B.W.

The vocals are absolutely perfect. Reba couldn't sing badly if she tried. This one is extra special with her range in the chorus. One of favorites.

@@Astro_touches_children never have I ever!! My Daddy wrote a song that he pitched to her before she made it big. Reba will always be one of my faves. Check out her behind the scenes.. I Sacrificed More Than You'll Ever Lose. My Daddy wrote that. It's an awesome story. He saw her in ATL at a small concert. Then again at a pancake house. Went to his car to give her a demo. Her manager called the next day and said she wanted to do the song. This was definitely before she hit it big. Daddy had a great ear and always said she was the last of the greatest female country artists. He also wrote a song Conway released. I'm so proud of him!

That's funny. This was a #1 hit back in the late 80's on the Rumor Has It Album. There are a number of good songs on that album, as there are a number of good songs on all of Reba's albums. I've been a big fan for Decades. There's Whoever's In New England and What Am I Gonna Do About You and Somebody Should Leave way back in 1984. That's when I first heard Reba on the radio with Somebody Should Leave and new she was going to be a big success. Her last CD "Stronger Then The Truth" is one of her best in years and I need to listen to it again.

❤ We lie in the dark, I know you're awake The only sounds are the sounds this old house makes Oh, how I long, I long to hear your voice Desperate to talk, yearning to touch Burning inside 'cause I want you so much So I say I need you and leave you no choice You lie you don't want to hurt me So you lie, buy a little time, and I go along What else can I do? Maybe it's wrong But you know how much I love you So you lie until you can find a way to say goodbye You lie How long until you just can't go on? And the urge to break loose is just too strong You should let go, that's what you want to do Oh, but you don't know, you don't know If it's the right thing to do So you lie you don't want to hurt me So you lie, buy a little time, and I go along What else can I do? It sucked so much to see her suffer like she did. For a year and a half, I prayed for God to heal her and let her live. I never would’ve thought I would ask God to take my momma.
