Bro, that is a guitar Theyre using different guitars, normal guitars have 6 strings and theyre pretty regular but there are settings that make it sound different, also the guitarist/singer is playing with his fingertips and that makes a sharp sound. And theyre using a 12 string guitar too and that is classically sharp and clean sounding

As a 19-year-old Gen Z fan, I respectfully disagree. Rock is still one of the most loved genres out there. It's just simply not the genre on the charts. But we all still love the classics from the 1950s to the 2000s. There's some good stuff coming out today too, though it's far from as legendary as these older songs were. Had they come out today, they most definitely would have been big hits.

  • @TheBlackQueen

@@brezzainvernale Rock and Metal have strong cult followings. Compared to most genres, Rock fans are the most musically-centric fans, meaning they care more for the instrumentation, melodies, and so g structures. Not to say others don't, but usually, Rap is more focused on the lyrics, vocal flow, and the beat (usually in that order) and Pop is more focused on solo singers, rather than the session musicians used. Electronic (EDM), though often the most instrumentally driven genre with few lyrics at all, is sometimes more an emotional manipulation of adrenaline, especially Techno and Dubstep. Rock and Metal are often the genres with the most virtuosity in the instrumentals and are typically more progressive than other genres, not in terms of it being Prog, but rather that the songs are more likely to progress and move to different stages apart from simply V1 C V2 C B C C... structures and 4/4 time. Rock has had the most experimentation in music and has expanded its influence into many if not all other major genres of music. As long as there are still fans of analog instruments, exercised musicianship, and musical history, Rock and Metal will never die.

The worst thing about rock/metal in America is that the music industry assassinated it in the 90's with horrific genres they tried to create out of thin air. Nirvana and grunge music was astroturf. They changed the format of urban rock stations to rap and there were protests to bring back the good music.

Pickups also make HUGE impact on sound in fact your guitar is a Mashup as it has a "humbucker" and a "single coil" pickup which both have distinct sounds. I can't recall if your guitar has P-90 pickup but that could also be a very distinct sounding pickup as well oh the black and silver guitar is a type of "flying V" guitar believe that one is a Jackson model flying V

They're laying lots of guitars on top of each other. There's at least 4 if not maybe even up to 10! The white guitar hes using is a gretch "semi-hollow" so its still an electric, but has that big body. A lot of jazz players used semi hollows. You were possibly hearing the 12 string as the "higher" portions since it doubles the strings and makes a more jangly sound and on the higher strings it has them an octave higher in each pair. Essentially its the same layout as a regular guitar (with 6 strings) but it has another string next to each one that is an octave higher

I could tell that you really enjoyed this song! That's awesome!! I love watching react videos because I love to see the happiness or at least intrigue of someone who has never experienced the music that others & myself have listened to over the years. I know & understand that your not going to like everything that is suggested, but I am glad to see that you genuinely understand why people would like these certain songs. Much love brother!

So many guitars were used on that track. You are hearing a Gretsch White Falcon, a telecaster and probably the one you are hearing predominantly ringing and chiming like a mandolin is a 12 string on a double neck SG.

I’ve become a big fan of your channel. You remind me of when I first got into metal and the reactions I had when I first heard my now favorite bands. Since you seem to really like the songs people suggest, I’ve always wondered if there’s ever been a song where you just couldn’t stand. Like you got halfway through the song and threw off your headphones and said “This is crap. I just can’t listen to it anymore?”

JoJo, huge fan, watched several of your reviews and love to see you grow as a young person listening and learning new music. I’ve heard you say many times that a song “speeds up” it doesn’t, songs keep the same tempo, usually. What you are hearing is dynamics. Dynamics are not in todays pop/rap music they turn the EQ and levels on everything all the way up. In metal/rock and specifically songs like Nothing Else Matters, they use a technique called dynamics and the guitar also uses expression pedals and can sound differently. What you were hearing was a guitar, but James and Kirk are playing the same solo at the same time, probably in a different octave on some notes. That’s where a guitar player will play say a C on a lower string and another guitar plays a C on a higher string at the same time, to create that dissonance you are hearing. Dynamics is when the music is quiet and peaceful, sometimes played intentionally softer and then a crescendo to a very loud or harsh sound. Although the crescendo can be subtle. This all means emotion to the listener, you feel what they are trying to portray to you. It’s nice to see you feel this emotion in your reactions, it’s something I have felt my whole life. Keep up the good work, it’s refreshing.

To answer your question Jojo, the guitar that you hear in the background is a standard electric guitar being played by Kirk Hammett, oftentimes referred to as "Rhythm Guitar"

The extra guitar your hearing is called a double neck gibson es1275 it has 12 strings on one neck that are tuned an octave from each other to make it sound angelic and beautiful like your hearing. Many bands used them. From led zeppelin to guns n roses.

Lars Ulrich- the drummer, and James Hetfeild-the lead singer, lived together for some time in Cali...and if one would come up with something, he'd wake the other n if they thought together it was good, they'd call the other's to cone over rt away...n see what they thought collectively...n bang it OUT!!❤

It's a semi-hollow guitar. They are electric guitars that have the two bouts hollowed out with, usually, F-holes to allow air flow and a solid body through the center. They do make a different sound than regular electric or acoustic guitars.
