Metallica, when this came out I was homeless, on drugs, and then jail. I now have a house, job, and husband. This song and “Clover Cage - In the Moment” are the two songs that helped get rid of my depression. I just want to send love to everyone and I want everyone to know things will get better. My dear dear friend Tim passed away earlier in november. He died at the age of 33 years old and he was one year older than me. His birthday was the day before mine. So my 33 birthday will be hell because we always talked on the 4th. This was his favorite band and this song was played on his funeral yesterday. Fucking heart breaking and the sorrow wont heal. He was the funniest person you could ever know and always had a girl by his side. He never ever went home alone. And we partied every weekend and sometimes more than that for many years. He was awesome and I loved seeing him bring the ladies home. He will be so so missed by a lot of people. My life will never be the same again without him. I love him now and forever and Metallica will always be a reminder of him. So this song is for Tim

This is one of those greatest songs ever written trying to learn to play this on acoustic these guys will always be one of the greatest musicians of our time.

My father died this last Friday, I found out after he loved Metallica and honestly I did listen to a song or two by them before so I was a little bit familiar with their genre. He had been in the nursing home since 2021 and died at 42. He has always been in bad condition and had Leukemia. Keep rockin' up in heaven, I'll be up there to join you when I get older

I'm 52 years old and still blast heavy metal in my car. My "car neighbor" at each red light looks at me like I'm crazy which only adds to my fun. Getting older and is awesome because you truly, truly don't give a crap what other people think of you. I would never blast offensive music loudly though. I do draw the line there.

It is so funny to look back and think that when this came out, so many people said they were washed up or finished as a band. This was less than a decade into their career. Here we are 30+ years after Metallica was founded. Unreal how much this stands up.

Where did you get that claim from? 1991 was their 10th year ( a decade ) as a band, and just 3 years ago they released their first video and played at the grammys. They were definitely not " washed up " as a band as you can see from each album they were improving so much. The only time they were really washed up was when jason left, james went to rehab. That could have ended badly.

I just love Metallica! When I went into the Air Force, all of us listened to this band stationed in Crete, Greece. It was the early nineties. I was introduced to this band in the eighties with Master of puppets. It was the music and attitude of the music. I was young, but at 55 I still love them.

Exactly portrayed, a bunch of rock n roll nerds!

This artistic masterpiece embodies everything in its splendor: gentleness, gratitude, sadness, strength, wisdom, emotion, nostalgia, passion ...Who still listens to this again in december 2021 ! 😉
