Amaizing! I really thought than you bought the purple and black fabtic but you made it yourself. It makes the wings more pretty, good job.

Love this! I was looking for ideas on what to use my leftover Readi-Board for. Definitely going to try this later today for my seven year old. :) Thank you!

Why did you paste the foam board on the side you chose & not the other side?

Do you mean when cutting out the shapes? The fabric is sandwiched between two pieces of foam board. I tried to match them up as precisely as possible.

Why didn't you attach the alstic between the foam boards?

You certainly could put the elastic between the foam boards. I wanted to make sure they were as flat as possible against the fabric. Luckily this project is easy to customize details like where you put the elastics or how you shape the wings, etc.

Do we have to use white glue or can we use hot glue

You could use hot glue. I would do a test area first to make sure that it won't melt any of the foam or the fabric (a lot of fabrics are made of various types of plastic).

What kind of fabric is that?

We repurposed a sheer shower curtain for this project. A sheer polyester should work. Painting the fabric with the acrylic paint prevents the edges from fraying.

@@speedygunzalis The techniques to create the wings that you’ve linked would be the same as the video above. For larger wings you can always use multiple boards (one wing per 20” x 30” board space) and connect them in the center. Keep in mind that the larger you make your wings, the more stress you are putting on the upper supporting arm. Consider making that portion larger or nest some type of support in the center (as we did in our Readi to Craft: Cosplay Sword video, perhaps using wire in place of a wooden dowel. If you have further crafting questions feel free to contact us here, or by Facebook messenger.

Could I use cardboard instead of foam board

  • @readi-board

We haven't tried it (being a foam board company and all). If you do try, keep in mind the way the corrugation runs, cardboard can have a tendency to bend along those lines. Readi-Board can be found in most Dollar Tree stores if you'd like to try to follow the video precisely.

It would be easier to watch without the music. Other than that it was a create tutorial
