I love Halloween. I have a looping Halloween playlist of VoicePlay & Geoffs' covers. The kid in the Jack costume is Layne's nephew.

This is my favorite of their Nightmare before Christmas song… Or it was at least until Geoff released Jack’s Lament. On both of them it’s not just the audio but the visual as well. I don’t process auditorily as well as a lot of people. So listening to people who know about music helps me catch things that I normally wouldn’t because I’m so distracted by the visual. Besides the behind-the-scenes videos, one of my favorite perks from being a patron is to get to listen to the karaoke track. Then I can really isolate the BGV’s’s without being distracted by what’s going on visually as well as what the lead is doing. The last few years, they have been using the karaoke tracks in the outro when the patron roll starts. If you go to the description and go all the way to the bottom they list all of the credits. Unless the video requires make up as this one obviously did, or a steady cam, a lot of the production is done by themselves. Generally Layne ( the beatboxer) or Geoff (the bass) does about 90% of the arrangements, usually trading off. Whoever is in charge of the arrangement is in charge of the whole project. They are responsible for selecting a venue, costume, the recording of the video, the video edits, the initial sound edits and anything else that required such as props. They have an advantage in that Layne is a co-owner of PattyCake Productions where they film a lot of their videos. Additionally Geoff’s wife Kathy is their production manager and is extremely organized. I love you enthusiasm and look forward to seeing what you think of their non-Halloween items. But definitely set aside time for next October to explore their rather lengthy Halloween catalog.

I love their version of this song and your reaction was so much fun. I definitely recommend checking out the version that marwan ayman (I think that's how it spelled) did. It is beyond amazing. He is part of another acappella group called The Bass Gang. I definitely recommend checking out that group as well, especially their version of Arabian Night. Both voiceplay and the bass gang did equally amazing versions of ding dong/hide and seek.

Yours is one of the best reactions I've seen to this song in a long time. Super enjoyable reaction- and yeah, VoicePlay absolutely killed that song. It's such a great arrangement that Layne put together, and it really stands up despite its age. VoicePlay never disappoint when it comes to Halloween.
