Thank you for an awesome reaction to Voice Play. Please do a reaction video to Voice Plays cover of ( a medley of Queen songs ) titled Queen In 5 Minutes. It is very theatrical but that is why they are called The Theater Kids of Acapella. They will blow your mind. Also Voice Plays cover of Dream On, originally by a, Voice Play knocks it out of the ball park. Geoff Castallucci ( the low bass in Voice Play ) has his own channel. Please do a reaction video to Geoff's new solo cover of Jack's Lament from The Nightmare Before Christmas. It is unbelievable. He puts so much heart & soul into all his work. He usually clones himself 3 or 4 times to harmonize with himself. Even when you don't see his clones they are always there in the background voices.

Geoff resisted doing this despite the pleading for years because the song is so dark. But what a gorgeous version it is.

Geoff (Jeff ). We may get more of J. None he recently got a Navy promotion and they moved him from Seattle, Washington to his new station in Washington DC. For this video, he flew from DC to Orlando in the morning did the video shoot, and flew back to DC that evening.

Jeff is the correct pronunciation. Minister Frollo in Notre Dame, Geoff's character, is Disney's most evil villain. I am repelled by the character but also mesmerized. The vocals in this one are incredibly good and Layne knocked it out of the park. They just did another, Whiskey in the Jar, an Irish tune from back in the 1600s. It's been done a lot in the last century: from Peter, Paul and Mary; Dubliners, Clancy Brothers, Tommy Makem, Thin Lizzie, Metallica and back 60 yrs ago by my Irish great-uncle George Houlihan when he was trying to get my Dad to pour him another whiskey and sang that song (whack for my daddio is asking for another shot.)

I adore Geoff's voice. Hearing that fantastic Dragon rumble throughout every song is what brings Voice Play to the top of A Cappella for me. His clarity is amazing, even better than Dimash, at this time, in his lowest register. Great song choice.👍👍👍 Thank you❤️ 🥰🥰🇨🇦

Thanx, guys, for reacting to this one! Glad I got lucky for the win! This was just mesmerizing, I've watched it I can't count how many times. Voiceplay covers a lot of music that I've never heard, but it doesn't matter, they are wonderful. They even helped me like the Chipmunk Song last Christmas. They just released Whiskey in a Barrel, an old Irish folksong. It's been covered by Thin Lizzie, Metallica, even Peter Paul and Mary. Voiceplay's is better. Just sayin'!

I'm so happy you chose VP as your song! As a fellow Voiceplayer and VP patron I heartily thank you and am always grateful for more VP (and Geoff) reactions to watch!

This was just so damned good!! When I watched it the first time, I thought it was Geoff that said "Burn It", but no, that was Layne. And It was cool that Tony got to participate as the guard, but Eli voiced the guard. Completely Blown away by how epic this cover was!! It has been a long long time since I have seen Hunchback of Notre Dame. And Did you see Cesar briefly playing the air guitar?? lol

I had to chuckle a little when you mentioned all the patrons. Actually, they only show the top couple tiers. They had to stop listing all of their patrons when the list got too long. They have well over 1k patrons now.

The song comes from Disney's cartoon "Hunchback of Notre Dame". It's the villain song, and to me Frollo, the protagonist here, is maybe the most sinister Disney villain, like, EVER. He's a Minister, yet he has this mad desire for Esmeralda, a gipsy young woman, and he WANTS her, and puts the blame on anyone BUT him, of course... And get to that point in which she either becomes "his, and only his" or he will burn her on the pyre as a witch. He's fuc**ng EVIL. To think this song was in a CARTOON, with an audience of kids! Today it would likely be impossible. 🙄 Anyway, Voiceplay kinda tried to save as much "humanity" as possible in Frollo... Until she escapes and he says "I will find her if I had to burn down all of Paris!". There is where he loses the last hint of that little of humanity he had. Geoff didn't want to do this song. Frollo was too evil for him. 🙂 As other already said, Voiceplay just released "Whiskey in the jar", a centuries old Irish folk song that they made their own (as usual...) in the most beautiful way. 🙂 See you next time!

Funny most criticism of Voiceplay is they overdo videos at times. I never heard criticism of underdoing a video

No way was the background cheap. It was supposed to be like they were in the foreground of Paris burning from far away. Nothing left of Paris to see but the bright glow from the further more, Voice Play are totally independent, free from any record label, they are their own production company production is sometimes done on location or in studio. They do everything themselves except for miner, final mixing & make-up. Their productions are always second to none.
