Great reaction to the budding superstar Courtney! It was interesting watching you gradually become Courtzerized and finally come to the conclusion that you like her version better than the original, the common assessment. I think maybe other commenters have added some background, but she had the highest viewed audition on 2018 America's Got Talent, has numerous KZread videos and much more. She has millions of dedicated fans worldwide and was about to release her 1st album which has been slowed by the virus problem. She has good family support, good coaching and drinks water constantly for good throat health. You are correct that her style is unique among singers today which is why she is going to inject a needed breath of fresh air into the music scene. I would suggest a reaction to her AGT audition where her wide popularity started, then her (at 11 years old) video of Can't Help Falling in Love (Live and Loud Sessions version), and the other 2 ballads on Courtney Hadwin VEVO channel. That is just a sampling to really experience Courtney's talent!

Fat American, it's always great to hear about younger people growing up in a time to old classics we older folk had so much fun in. You can't be much older than my own kid. Never forget : she is the main creative engine behind this version. She heard it, right away, when she heard the song when it came out ! The raspiness in her voice is controlled. Don't worry about 'hurting' or breaking her voice. You will like her, 'cause when she covers a song, she usually make it better.
