My little brother, Rory, passed away 3 years ago. I don't have any kids yet but hope to honour him somehow in one of my kid's names.

Video Idea: Gothic style/era names I though this would be great for the Halloween season! I came across the name Clotilde (in a documentary) which is apparently of Gothic era according to google! Pronounced: Clo like in the word clove and tilde said like til day.

Tilia would be a cool name, nature name... quick googling... possibly many different religious and meanings from biblical to Palatine to Scandinavia. When it comes to more masculine/surname names for girls, I have quite the soft spot for Miller! She could even go by Milly if she wanted something a bit more girly, but I think Miller by itself is extremely cool and pretty unique too.

Wow! I didn’t know Elva meant bright or light. That was my great grandmother’s name, and my parents always told me my name Angelena meant “angel of light”. That’s an amazing way to feel connected to her.

Never heard the name Rosenwyn! My daughter was born in March this year and we named her Rosa Wynn (Wynn being her middle name). Quite similar! 😊

Rosmarin (Swedish for rosemary) is on our list, since my husband couldn't get on board with the Dutch version popular in my family (Roosmarijn). Sounds similar to Rosenwyn/ Rose Wynn!

Love names. It’s a bit of an obsession hah. I have a Castiel Ulf (family related, derived from the old word for wolf) and an Aria Perséfonie (Persephone but more phonetic for family reasons as it was her first name.

What a brilliant collection of names!

One of my friends has a baby cousin called Della Moon and I always think it’s such an interesting name! I’m loving Vera, Cora and Lyra for girls at the moment, and Gideon is my constant favourite for boys :)

I recently came across the name Naielle (pronounced nye-elle) and I just think it’s such a pretty name. I’m not usually a fan more girly-sounding names, but I love this one. She could be Nelle for short!💙

Interesting to hear Shelby is on the rise! I have only met a couple in my lifetime! My mom always HATED that people asked if I was named after Julia Roberts in Steel Magnolias. Men typically ask if I am named after the car. I always joke that my dad would say "i couldnt afford a Shelby, so i made my own" haha

I took Shelby as my name after it had been my nickname for my first 9 years and I never looked back. I'm in the PNW in the US and we have LOTS of Shelbys out here. With a million spellings. Shelby, Shelbey, and Shelbie being the most popular.

I absolutely love vintage boys names like Rufus, Otto and Ezra 😍 and for girls I’ve always loved Marnie, Elvie, Elva and Indie

I love the name Della its always been such a favourite of mine. I do also love Bella which I know is exceptionally popular. Other names which i find are sweet are Connie and Bonnie , and also Polly xx

Shelby makes me think of the Peaky Blinders while Collins reminds me of The Blind Side, (my favourite film) because their daughter is called Collins. 💕💕

I have never seen my favourite name ANYWHERE!! It’s Aili pronounce eye-lee, in German and Irish is means bright light which I love 🥰 it’s a lovely alternative to the popular name Isla! I also came up with the name Aquelina or Aquina- a play on Angelina but with a coastal or ocean vibe which I love

So I don't comment that much but I just wanted to share a cute baby girl name I found! I believe it's a Polish name and is the female version of Apollo - Apolyna (with my British accent like SJ it's pronounced Apple-Ee-Na). It's definitely the top of my list but since I'm 18 and not planning to have a baby in at least 10 years I'll let some new mamas steal it now!

Love Delaney Lupin, the meanings are very kickass for a little girl! I have only met one adult Ezekiel, they were completely warm & friendly and now that's how I hear the name. Lazlo is very cool! Rosenwyn is a fairytale name😍 I am not surprised to hear that Artemis is popular, it's such a cool name for a girl. I guess if it's about to become popular, I will have to cross it off my list of "unique" sounding options.

Being a big lover of musical theatre I have always loved the name Sutton as it is the name of one of my favourite broadway actresses Sutton foster ( middle name Lenore ) she Is a Tony award winner and was in Musicals such as Shrek the musical , little women , anything goes and throughly modern Millie. She is a great performer with great sass so you were right about the strong lady vibe it gives off . The sound of music is my favourite film too I happily would watch it all day everyday although I think Louisa would be my pick from the vontrapp children x

Our newest babe was born 3 weeks ago. He is Albion Davis. 1st has a special meaning and 2nd is a family name.

If our baby is a daughter, I will name her April Mary - my Mother and Grandmother were both born in April, and Mary is a combination of March (my birth month) and February (my Grandfather's birth month - I was very close with him). I want to honor the 3 people that raised me.

Scottie was my nickname growing up. My name was Amanda Scott and, of course, everyone was named Amanda. So, they called me Scottie.

I know a William one of whose sons has Wilson [ Will's son ] as a middle name. I think Crescent as a girl's name is pretty with Cressy as a nickname.

I don’t know why I’ve never thought of it before but I LOVE Artemis! And Artie would be such a cute nickname for a girl IMO

Elva is very popular in Denmark currently! Along with Ella, Alma, Alba, Vega etc.

My first name is Laura Scott - it's a double name - and my nickname is Scottie!! I was so excited to see it on this list!

When you said Rose, I got really excited...was actually disappointed it wasn't me! I actually so hoped you'd use one of my girls names for unheard-anyone else here never heard of Ailsa? Not to be confused with Elsa-Ailsa is a Scottish girl name meaning 'elf victory'. My hubby introduced me to it and I had never heard it! It's now one of our top 2 names for girls-Ailsa Paige Rose and Lilah (blank) Nyx-still struggling there. Willow and Harriet are being discussed...and she'll be known as Nyxy!

really like the name emery. its so pretty an great alternative to Emily! which you could use as a nickname i guess.

“new york cool bad ass woman” as the descriptor for sutton killed me because all i could think of was sutton brady from the bold type and that’s basically her (watch the bold type it’s on hulu it’s amazing)

Searc would keep getting autocorrected to search, I like Crescentmoon (from The New Worst Witch, she's a little hedgewitch) and Peregrine is like from my favourite book series, Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, and can be shortened to Perrie/Perry

There was an Elva in my class at school, I never thought of it being that out there

My younger sister is named Delaney Claire. I feel like my parents didn't check our name meanings beforehand because both of our first names have horrible ones.

In New Mexico we have girls named Zia (zee-yah). It's our state symbol and on our flag. It's a sun symbol that also represents the four directions. It originated from the Zia Pueblo, a Native American tribe.

We have a Naomhan Jace and Ryker Ford. Naomhan is an Irish name, like the girls name Niamh but with the popular ‘in’ suffix, so it sounds like Steven. The pronunciation we use comes from the region of Ireland my mother is from and Jace is an acronym of my father’s family’s initials. Ryker we liked because it also started and ended with the same letter and Ford is a nod to my husband’s late grandfather Alfred, we didn’t like the idea of using someone’s name straight out so went with a similar feel with a relevant connection. I love watching these videos and of course reading the comments for more ideas!

We're having our first baby and we decided to go with Klaus Frederick since its uncommon were we are from and I really love how it sounds. Had we had a girl we debated on, Lily-mae Joyce, Clementine Wyatt and Hikari Moon. 🧡 Other boy names we debated were, Asher, Sho, and Everett.

Norma is my grandma's name! Norma Jane. I've never met anyone else with that name. And one of my best friends was named after Shelby in Steel Magnolias.

We were all called out right away for keeping our number one name secret! 🤣 I did. I have one boy's name I've never heard on an actual child, only a character, that I ABSOLUTELY love. I think it's so cool. I'll probably never get it past my husband but just in case I'm keeping it to myself. 😆

My daughters (in their early 20s) love watching you. Wanted to share with you that I named my older daughter Liesel Anja (different spelling from Liezl but same). And a name that may be new to most, but so beautiful too, is my younger daughter's name, Giglia Claire. Giglia is pronounced like Julia but with a long eee instead of the u. The second g is silent. shh.

Our daughter is Natalie Ruth. Currently pregnant with baby #2 and trying to come up with a short list of names. We like Eliana Lucile and Theodore David. Theodore is a family name, but is so popular right now! x

Scottie is on my list and I heard of Scotland the other day so I put that on my list too!

Oaka is cool because Oka means “water” in Chickasaw. So if you had Chickasaw heritage, that would be a good one.

Aw i'm glad you loved Oswald! I think Oz and Ozzy are such cute nicknames too! By the way, my great grandma's name is Sarah Jane and my. best friend who I met at 23 is named Sarah Jane too!

I like the name Oswald, but it doesn't go over well in America because Lee Harvey Oswald shot President Kennedy in 1963. The negative connotation probably doesn't apply to other countries, just the U.S. Here an Oswald would definitely have to be known as "Ozzy" or "Waldo" or "Oz."

Earth Angel I’m from Australia, so yeah we don’t have that association.

Ellisyn/Ellison, Essie, Elora, Etta, and Mary-Claire for girl names, Davis, Ridge and Harris, and River for a boy-- ( I know River is quite popular right now, but I love it still. I also like the name Sefton for a boy, different but doesn't sound to out there. My eldest name is Lindy-- sweet, simple but not often heard. Her full name is Lindy Sofia Faith-- we loved how musical her name sounded. My other daughter's name is the more often heard Brooklyn, but her middle names are Ruth Marie. I often wish I had hyphenated her middle names because said that way Ruth-Marie is so very cute- I think anyways!

My sister was debating between Avalon and Amelia-Lily when she was expecting. She went for Avalon but Avalon Lily would have been nice

My daughter’s name is Viva but I also loved Elora! So pretty :) Viva was in honor of my father who passed “alive, to live” is the meaning in many languages which is what we do in his memory!
