exactly. theres way more efficient ways to save water and all that shit. if you look up any kind of off grid living shit, one of the first things youll find is how to collect and filter rain water. its super easy and cheap. you could use any spare piece of cloth as a coffee filter, why use a sock? a piece of tshirt or a washcloth would be much better. these people are just doing it to be strange, but i assume TLC made him play it up too

That’s like $500 a semester. I’d like to know more about this specific situation with this IT guy, like, when did it start, how much does he save over all the little things he does.
