Very helpful. I have some cracked wood and stripped screw holes on my Model B 12 stock. Can you recommend a good epoxy or wood repair to fix these?

Thanks for watching and I'm glad my video could help. As far as the crack goes, nothing beats a good quality wood glue. Personally I like gorilla brand wood glue but titebond is excellent as well. If you want to go the epoxy route, I like JB Weld clear epoxy. Now as far as the stripped screw holes, I would consider one of these 2 options. 1 fill the holes with epoxy, let it fully cure and pre drill before re-screwing. 2 drill the screw holes to a large enough diameter that you can fit a dowel or some sort of wood plug into them.(home depot has various size dowels in the millwork dept) glue the dowels into the enlarged holes, let dry, sand smooth and then just like the epoxy, pre drill and then re-screw. I hope this helps. Good luck.

@@thatfunkymonkey A tip - save the wood shavings to mix with the glue to fill the crack I used round wood toothpicks in the glued holes - worked out great. Stocks usually crack just behind the receiver. I rebuilt 2 stevens 311 s. Never again ! the internals are a real bear !

@@robertboreman7672 excellent tip, I usually save my saw dust when doing woodworking projects specifically for mixing with wood glue.
