Did something like this to my grandsons razor quad. Used the fast scooters upgrade to go from 24 volts to 36 and added a 36 volt 20 ah lithium battery. He used to ride for about 20 to 30 minutes, now he rides for hours plus it’s faster.

Love the tail light bracket. Best of all, I have a few garage door sensor brackets and light fixture bracket. Cost for me on that is $0.00. Thanks.

If you were to just replace the Battery only would the Factory "Low Battery" indicator still work with the Lithium battery?

How would you go about hooking up the voltage meter just by itself, anything you can share to alleviate me making any mistakes?

Awesome! Question here, could I run a 10ah battery and be fine for my 6year old just running around in the field? Would be sure if he ran it more then 30min strait before jumping off.. also, is it possible to put a in-line voltage regulator on this? Just incase we want to head to the park or something and keep him from going Evil Kenivel off curbs and parked cars lol. ( he’s still learning)

Have you checked to see what cells are in the lithium batteries? For it to be a 36V20Ah then it would be 10 in series and at least 6 in parallel if they are 18650's. 6 3300mah cells would put it right at 19.8Ah and 3500mah is the largest capacity 18650 on the market today (Panasonic has a 3600mah cell but in reality its a 3500mah cell just like the 3500mah cells are only 3500mah under low charge/discharge currents but typically are closer to 3400mah when charged at 0.5C and discharged at 1C) The battery pack seems a bit too small to be a 10S6P...and a high capacity cell (3200mah+) is going to run you $4 even when bought in quantity like the LG MJ1 on 18650 Battery Store or Li Ion Wholesale. I think the cheapest reliable cell would be the EVE 33V (I have a bunch of them) and I think I got them on sale for $2.50 each. I'm just skeptical that a pack could be sold for $180 when some of the materials are going to cost a factory $120 at $2 a cell. BMS/Heatshrink/Connectors/Wire/Nickel aren't too much, probably another $10 and the chargers are so insanely common they are probably $5 or less in bulk. Regardless if your kid is getting a weeks worth of range out of the current battery then it doesn't matter too much if its only a 12Ah pack and not a 20Ah. I would definitely add a significant amount of material to cushion that pack. Those Chinese packs are not built the safest and vibration could easily shake loose the spot welded nickel strips and cause a short (body of the cell is negative and only the center of the top is positive, if insulator rings are not used its very easy for a short to occur in this area) or arcing. If one cell heats up from a short/arcing and goes into thermal runaway its going to be a BIG 4th of July celebration wherever that bike is. I would also advise charging it outside of the garage as charging seems to be when most packs go up in flames. Could save you an insurance claim that brings up your rates for years to come. Edit: Looks like they are claiming its 10S7P. I'm just curious to know which cells they are using because the price is too low to be made with name brand cells.

These batteries often use 21700 cells. This one and the btr batts usually use lithium polymer soft pack cells, however.
