You can get numbers above 90%, but you can only get the effect of 90% regardless of how high a number you reach.

Played vortex Sisters campaign on very hard, and it was quite easy. OFC i followed your cheese to get Witchwood forest health to max and Ariel on turn 24 by sacking that settlement and fighting Skaven rebellion every turn. Never had any problem with money because I have stockpiled so much on first 30 turns before I even needed second or third army. Later, income dropped massively, but i have managed to keep it at least positive by utilizing upkeep reduction in magical forest areas. But yes, their economy is really shit. You depend on trading with High Elves for majority of income. And great video as always, thanks!

My favorite thing about the wood elf economy is that you don't have to spend every penny you get upgrading and repairing settlements. So if you get into a situation in legendary where you're fairly lean, like able to support 2 welf settlements with one stack, then you can let the savings accumulate over time. Their settlements can make a lot of money if you focus on growing the economy buildings. But yeah, even with all four forests under my control I was only ever able to have at most 3 decent full stacks before finishing my legendary sisters campaign.

Nice one that was surprising.

I personally like to play in VH/N. But then I remove the supply lines and public order malus. I like the AI having money cheats and loads of armies, but I don't like being slowed down by debuffs, and i like my melee infantry to be viable.

Yeah, I do the same, I go legendary/Normal, except I keep supply lines and public order malus, since I dislike having to manage too many armies because I get too rich too fast, it burns me out.

@@IAmebAdger I find Legendary annoying regarding saves and not being able to pause in battles, personally, but I've done a few campaigns. I also play with SFO, so the supply lines and money expenses come from other sources

@@TheRewasder97 Oh yeah, SFO, completely different game almost but very fun. I play one SFO campaign for every 2 vanilla campaigns. I like restricting my unit caps army-wide and faction-wide so certain units seem more valuable/awesome to me.

@@IAmebAdger yeah, I agree. I like how they balance the units too. Going melee focus is not only viable but fun! If you haven't, try a melee focus with Dwarfs, play with Ungrim for the bonuses. And try to move and seize the initiative, I am having a lot of fun with that campaign, surprisingly more than I expected.

@@TheRewasder97 tbh i find legendary fun partly because of both the saves and the lack of pause, makes the battles much more intense and exciting when i could lose it all, rather than, "oh guess i'll go back to the quicksave then." Forces me to scout with heroes a lot more, and be more cautious.

Another fun thing is the reforged eagle bow gets 'endless volley' so for 7 turns the sisters can have endless napalm shots

I heavily respect you trying to rate the doomstack, not your cheesing skills. We all know those are ∞/10 :D Really good video, this and warpfire doomstack ones are starting to set some benchmarks for honest, proper testing and rating. Keep up this new content idea, no matter in which way it'll evolve. Cheers!

When I did the sisters campaign I held pretty good diplomacy with most (dark elves were annoying though) so I only ended up needing 3 armies to complete the campaign. Just taking it slow regenerating 1 forest at a time making sure order factions ended up dominant close to your forest, so i didn't even lose a single forest even after leaving them unprotected.

I think the best part of this army is the last point you mentioned: the AI will never run away from it, so you can always be sure to eliminate them without needing perfect campaign map movement

It's a miracle the empire gets the army loss penalty. In my games reikland convederates all over the place and does not get the army loss penalty even if the entire army ran off the battlefield broken and beaten and i am left with just the lord and the hero and maybe 1 extra unit. Maybe the game hates me or something i don't know. Anyway great vid loved the battle

Regarding the WE economy -- you can't field as many armies as before, but you don't need many armies either. I recently beat a VH long campaign, and I got through most of the game with 4 armies, ending with 5 (which I didn't really need). Between teleporting and ambushing, a few good armies will carry you through the entire game. You might have more trouble if you want to paint the map though.

About upkeep on VH or legendary - Dutrhu (or Argwylon) can handle it because of his faction bonuses

The only AI creative assembly programmed was how to deal with melee infantry. Ie. Boost stats unfairly

This how Legend plays 90% of his doomstack videos. Yet I watch every single one of them...haha

With Durthu on very hard chamapig, having 5 fully developed settlements I could afford 3 armies. I was very happy when I could go from 2 to 3 armies. On Legendary, I would have to research the -15% upkeep for the same result. And since I could research it with 5 settlements anyway, I guess I could afford 4 armies on very hard and 3 on legendary at that point. Yet to be honest, I felt stronger after the update. I finished the champaign at aroun turn 130, while previously I finished it at aroun turn 140. I also felt I reached the desired troops early, thanks of the lack of limitations. On the other hand, previously I was part of the ordet tide, while after the update, Reickland broke a non-aggresion pact to go to war with me sa I had to wipe him out with the help of Norsca and Greenkins, both of which hate me a lot.

what about tough monsters would it be still the same rating?

Does winning on very hard still count if you're clan skryre ?

What are some of the strongest auto resolve armies which could autoresolve God?

Find a priest you degenerate furry. Honestly think that's the strongest AR army. Right behind you are a disappointment to your entire family.

Seems very strong, especially against infantry. Would it struggle against single entity stacks though, also would be a chore after fighting a few battles like this maybe.

Sisters plus Ariel, best campaign I've ever done

I wonder, is this doomstack better with the sisters on the drake and the eagle as extra? It may eat more bullets, sure, but the Wardsave is so high that the extra hp of the drake should make it fine. The drake actually gets better if wounded after all, and since you are keeping all enemies on the Sisters themselves the extra that the eagle gives is wasted. Also, since you can make a unit invis with the bow, you can eat a LOT less ammo than a normal drake

But what about large units? Against single entities like Dread Saurians or Constructs?

Ward save covers all resistances btw, Physical, Magic, missle, and fire.

what about adding some branchwraith guards for ariel, and maybe 16 Treemen? ^^

This strat is exactly what I do with sword of Khaine Fey Enchantress. I did not know that ward save and other resistances stack additively like that. I wonder if I can get her to 90% physical without the sword... The unicorn alone pretty much gets her there for magical.

From what i see there is 75 ward save 35 physical res and 65 magic res thus the lowest value is 110 for physical res meaning he got 20 ward save more than he needed. This means he could have some other item providing something instead of it.

I think Doomstacks can be judged by three categories - Combat Power: How many scenarios that you are likely to encounter in the game can the dooomstack overcome and how much damage would it take in the process on average. It might not be possible for a single stack to prevail in every single scenario but if its overall results are good, then it warrants a high score. Strategic Power: Here you account for things such as upkeep, how easy it is to assemble said doomstack, how easy it is to replenish if it takes losses (having to drag yourself all the way back and spend several turns recruiting can be considered a negative) and other minor bonuses such as appearing weak to the AI. Ease of Use: Legend once said that he qualifies something as a doomstack where even an idiot can take it and win. Some stacks need a lot more skill to pilot well. The weapons team doomstack needs constant target prioritization and to know where and when to call down clan rats, wheres as norsca mammoth spam is pretty much box and left click.

This would be good. He is really not consistent with his ratings, so these videos are more of an entertainment thing than educational. Traitfarming is not counted as negative, but Tier V units having high upkeep is? :D When you have tier 5 spam armies your economy should be rolling anyway. I dont play legendary, but even then upkeep should be much less of a factor... Or he should separate early game and late game stacks. Personally I find traitfarm stacks much less valuable than expensive stacks.

Would you say it's worth it in this case to put the sisters on Ceithin Har instead of Gwendalor ?

Nah, Ceithin Har is a big target and slow, Gwindalor is small, fast and nimble. If Ceithin Har is a summonable you don't care much about him being shot to pieces that much and he's still just as useful with dragon breaths and area of effect attacks.

They should really change income reduction to be multiplicative. Also, the additional 10% wouldn't be another -5,000, since it would just go from 120% increased upkeep to 130%.
