Being a vet nurse and buying a breed that is known to suffer a lot of genetic defects is kinda ironic ngl. Unless the pug was a rescue, this is just irresponsible. You’d think that since she sees the problems these dogs face in her profession she’d know better than to buy into that industry. Those dogs are seriously deformed and breeding them should honestly be illegal.

  • @douglasgriffiths3534

True that. Pugs should be bred the way they were in the 60s; they had a bit of muzzle, and no breathing problems. Some breeders are breeding them---they're called retro Pugs. My dad raised them when I was a kid. (Jan Griffiths).

  • @FukaiKokoro

@@douglasgriffiths3534 responsible breeding of certain breeds is ok. As long as the main goal is making the nozzle long enough to where the dog doesn’t have issues. It’s still cute. If not cuter because it’s not struggling to breath. Consumers need to make responsible decisions when buying dogs. And ONLY support the good breeders. The ones who will take a dog back if that one doesn’t work with you. The ones who keep the pups with mom long enough if not longer.

Crocs and Alligators are two of the most formidable predators its so hard to believe how very small and vulnerable they are when they hatch. .Also its Amazing how gentle the moms are when she carries them in her mouth..I believe that they definitely can control the bite but don't want to..Alligators are the best Mommas

The fact that Markus was grooming the nurses and himself so soon after the procedure was actually a good sign that he felt safe with you and your staff. I'm glad you were able to help your interesting patient feel better.

Half-tail is such a good mama! It's a shame that the eggs are so at risk, but nature is cruel like that. Marcus is adorable. I have a friend who had a pet rat that lived to be 3 1/2, which is really old. When my friend saw that the rat was on his last days, he gave him Cheetos and beer as a final meal. Not a bad way to go!

I love watching them use as much care and caution with alligators as they do with those bigass scary crocodiles. I don't know why it makes me giggle. Maybe because I've been swimming in gator-filled ponds and creeks since I was a little girl.

I have six female rats of types, colouring, ages, and yes attitude lol. I even have the exact same carrier as the lady. Rats are just adorable and they learn so quickly and all they want to do is be with you and loved. I've owned rats for over 10 years now and it's like having little dogs. I just wish they would live longer. The oldest on record is 7 years old which is highly rare. The oldest I ever had was 4 and a half.

It’s unfortunate because albino rats have a heritage of being used for test subjects so they get tumors and illnesses more easily than other breeds of fancy rats. Poor little guy! I had an albino rat named Harvey and he was a wonderful sweet companion who went everywhere on my shoulder. Such a good boy❤️❤️❤️

The title hooked me - 'rare albino rat'. I've seen plenty of albino rats. They are all named Lewis. Rats only come in three colors in my world, lab, barb and sewer. They are marvelous animal, and one of the reasons why I'm a clinician and not a researcher.

I had an albino rat in college that I trained for a class in my major. I fell in love with him. We were given the opportunity to adopt them, and even though I was only staying at home for one week, and then moving to my own apartment, my mother said no. So did my fiancée roommate. 🙁

Dr. Chris reminds me of Dr. Mike. Both are incredibly talented at their profession but also the way they explain medicine to the common folks, and both are hot AF, even from a man's perspective.

I had an old rat with respiratory issues. I used her transport box, full plastic with little air slits and then did the grandma thing with a pot full of hot water and a towel with I put over the transport box and the pot. So it was like a tiny sweating hut for rats. I used pure salt water though, but it helped her cough up everything. Never do this unattended. I sat beside her and checked regularly how she was doing. Another thing that worked was one drop of Echinacin, an echinacea med for humans. It was based on alcohol, which I might not have given to a young rat. But she was already three when it got super bad with her chest. And those two treatments helped manage it until she died of old age. She got four and a half. Which was the record amongst my girls. (I had 16 rats over the years in groups from 3-8 at one time, all rescues.)
