I love the fact that Chris didn't make Jasmine feel bad for not feeding Bubbles properly. He's basically like "Hey, you've done everything you thought was right, but let's make her diet a bit more nutritious." He was so gentle with her. 💙

This is certainly all right. But: wouldn't it have been up to the parents to inform themselves (together with their daughter, of course) about the keeping and especially about the nutrition of this bird species? I would certainly have given this to the father to think about, so that such mistakes would not happen again later, for example, when another child is to have a pet.

@@KTPStudios04 But one thing must be clear to you: in this way the girl will never really internalize what she did wrong. If she gets a new/other pet at some point, she will probably make the same mistake again. It would be better to say clearly what she did wrong, why it was wrong and to point out that she has to inform herself BEFORE buying a pet, instead of ending up afterwards with a sick pet at the vet because of nutrition and/or wrong keeping. And the same applies to the parents, whose task it would have been to guide their daughter in the necessary information procurement.

I know this is very late but it is probably also partly due to him wanting the owners of the animals to come back, because if a veteran insults you saying your a poor owner and they find out that person will most likely not come back. Because if I brought my pet in for any reason and found out I was bashed on then I would never come back. Tho no matter what he is being a cool and caring dude.

My bird doesn’t have a cage and freely roams the house, has full grown fully flighted wings and eats a mix of fruit and vegetables everyday. More from me. Her cuddle bone should hang on the side of the cage. And the whole cage should have fun toys for Bubbles to chew on. Wooden ones. That lovely little bird owner should be reading her head off. When i got my first bird i bought a few books on the type of bird. That was years ago and i never stopped reading. Birds are fascinating creatures!

I wish I had a month to react when my guinea pigs get sick. Wriggles died of some sort of bladder tumour 4 days after showing symptoms and I got her into the vet the day after her first symptom. With small animals, if something goes wrong or seems off with them it's best to go to your vet ASAP because you don't have time.

It's sitting at the bottom of the cage!! Not even a food bowl, just seeds on the bottom of the cage. Terrible diet. No toys. No stimulation. Not enough perches. No room to fly or move. What a terrible life that bird has. Obviously nobody in that family did a lick of even basic research before buying that bird. Just awful.

@@parrots4life74 A bird needs a cage that its able to climb around in and stretch its wings. That cage, if the main one, is way too small. Now, if the bird is out during the day and only in the cage at night, I would say its okay, but still not ideal. I own 5 birds, all of their cages are big. I don't have large birds either. 2 lovebirds, a sun conure, a bare-eyed cockatoo, and a male eclectus. my eclectus' cage alone is taller than me and i'm 5 foot 6. Makes me very sad when people don't do their research before getting a bird. Eclectus, for example, cannot live on seeds. The diet of seed only would kill them faster than any other parrot there is. They have to have fresh vegetables and fruit, and a side of pellet. All my birds are on fresh produce with a side of pellet, they get no seeds at all, except for sunflowers, and that's only like 3 or 4 once a month.

The turtle is massive and the display was so small he could barely move and they had to lift the angry enormous beast up over the walls to get him in and out. It seemed very difficult. My budgie Aussie has/had liver disease. Before we got Aussie, she was only really fed seed. I have three other budgies, and I gave the budgies apple occasionally, and that taught the other birds that other foods taste good too. Aussie is quite old, and had a big lump on her chest, she suddenly had diarrhoea, and green droppings. We separated her from the other birds. Aussie was staying in the same spot most of the time, and not liking going out of the cage. Then, I started feeding the birds SPINACH! Spinach is the the vegetable that saved Aussie. At the moment, Aussie has a tiny lump on her chest, and is on natural wood perches/ sticks I found on outside. The birds LOVE spinach, and I love spinach too. I am very happy that Aussie has gotten better, and fitter. The lesson here is: feed your birds not only seed, but mostly dark greens like spinach and broccoli.
