People please stop breeding these smushed face pets, its disfiguring and not cute at all. And some breeds can't even actually breed or give birth without assistance, how is that normal? Augh sorry to be so grumpy but it just rubs me the wrong way seeing so many of them suffering from the same exact things yet so many people find it cute and endearing.

But I did go right to the vet with blood on my clothes from trying to get the bleeding to stop, I didn't even stop to take the 2 seconds to change tops I just put him in the car and left. I've heard of some groups trying to breed back longer muzzles for bulldogs and pugs, a few groups trying to breed a larger version of a toy spaniel (I forgot which one) so that they won't have skulls too small for their brains. And some groups trying to breed healthier dalmatians (something to do with their urine or bladder?). But still these groups are few compared to all other breeders (official and backyard mills). @@camila8031 it really is our fault. Look at a pug from 50 years ago and they look like night and day. So many other breeds experience this too. Not just breathing issues but bone and muscle ones as well. The upside I will say, is people are learning more and more that shelter dogs are the way to go. Breeders aren’t always good and it M A T T E R S what breed you choose. If you choose by breed. Which a standard owner usually shouldn’t. They should choose on a pet by pet basis. Sadly that education will take time. Lots of it. On the bright side breeders are seeing this as well and the good ones who love their animals are breeding better ones for the future. Then again we need to stop breeding ourselves as much. Just like our animals. But hey,.. we’ll learn... eventually.

That Wallaby had similar problem as our cat. Our kitty cat had scratched his ear one night (despite being treated for mites and fleas) until I guess he broke a blood vessel. No sores on his ears, so we didn’t know until it started swelling. Very small, at first. Then over next few days, it filled up. The size of a ping pong ball! We took him to the vet and the vet did surgery. She pierced the bump on his ear, drained the blood...and sewed a button on to his ear!! She said it was to allow it to dry out! He had the cone of shame for a couple of weeks before she removed the button. Until the day he passed away (in July 2020), the tip of his little ear was folded down like a page in a magazine. I hated that pain and surgery for him but, it was the cutest look. People loved his folded ear and one pizza delivery lady wanted to adopt him from us.

I never know why zoo's don't put large areas of gravel and concrete down in enclosures of animals that need to wear down their nails / hoofs. Also mini mountains of bounders and rough things for them to climb on. Would save having to catch them and do the feet work..lot less stressful.

To be fair to Fergus's owners, I have a small dog who's dramatic too and sometimes it's hard to tell when they're actually in pain because they hurt themselves or just want attention. We've spent so much money on emergency vet visits because she wanted attention and pretended to be sick, only to get to the vet, realize she messed up, and be right back to her normal self. We've also had to bring her in for so many small, silly injuries that sometimes all you can do is laugh after the initial shock and fear wears off. Of course we love and pamper her (we take her in any time she even sneezes wrong and the long long list of medical bills we have can prove it) but there's nothing you can do but have humor when the situation isn't life threatening. The fact that they brought him in proves that, even if they thought it was probably something minor, they still cared and didn't want to have him be in pain just in case.

Wow, those sheep clued in really quickly! The net gun was pretty cool you see those in cartoons, not real life lol. The poor pup with the nail and torn ligaments was sad, that must have been so painful. I do understand the woman's reaction though, I did make the comment that only one of my guinea pigs could get such a rare form of lymphoma because I've had a few guinea pigs develop really uncommon almost never seen in guinea pigs illnesses. At some point you do just expect it. Hugo was so cute!! Hopefully, his ear healed up alright.

Heavy agree. I was originally on track for veterinary surgery myself. Even though that's changed, seeing the surgeries was a large part of my enjoyment with this show. I have to wonder if it's been cut for KZread, or if this was a decision from their broadcasting company in Australia.

  • @deborahcohen7025

animeartist888 This KZread show called Vet Ranch used to show their surgeries all the time and then the powers that be at KZread decided that that was unsuitable content and demonetized any videos flagged for graphic content. Their solution was to offer a link in every video for the uncensored version. (Don’t know what happened to Vet Ranch) . How utterly absurd is it that a show about a veterinary practice in veterinary medicine would flag veterinary procedures as unsuitable content?
