The name of this song was originally megadeth . He started writing it on the bus back to cali after being dismissed from metallica . He was gonna name his new band Fallen Angel but people thought megadeth was a cooler name for a band . To answer your question dave was in metallica the first 2 years while the first record was being written . They left cali to record the first record in new york but dave mustaine was too much and they fired him and asked Kirk hammet of exodus to come to ny . Dave said it best " I was violent drunk back then while they just got silly while drunk , it didn't mix " You brought up dbz and it made me think of megadeth - dialectic chaos which is an instrumental that totally sounds like anime fight music . it leads into a song called this day we fight . They go together .

dave basically pioneered thrash he taught hetfield how to play that way when he was in metallica and it was totally different at the time

Truth! When Dave made Megadeth with ellefson they said they were going to be faster and harder than metallica. Thus began thrash metal and they even said on a show I seen that Megadeth were the godfathers of thrash! It's good to see them get that respect

Wake Up Dead!

Dave's riffs spanned the early Metallica albums including an unconfirmed part in Leper Messiah. Off of "Peace Sell's, But Who's Buying?" Megadeth - Good Mourning/Black Friday (Original not remastered) it's the song that got me playing metal guitar. Also from the same album Bad Omen The Conjuring My Last Words Hell the whole album is insane. Lineup is perhaps the best organic version of Megadeth and pure thrash. Dave Mustaine on Vox and Guitar Dave Ellefson on Bass Chris Poland on guitar (also a jazz guitarist) Gar Samuelson on Drums (Poland's jazz drummer) So freaking killer, but far more dirty, punch you in the mouth compared to the refinement of Rust in Peace. Pure Thrash

This was one of the first Megadeth songs that made me into an absolute Megafan. Dave's rhythm playing, to me, is the absolute top of the mountain when it comes to writing and song structures. He writes rhythms that are harder than most other bands lead work, just disgustingly busy and complicated, time changes everywhere, I can't say enough... This band will always be one of my absolute favorites.

The song was written a long time ago, Dave did not know how to name the band, the song says "The arsenals of megadeath" and thats how he came up with the band name. So this IS the song that ended up naming the band.

As a drummer myself, I can definitely attest to the power of "four way independence" and how crazy hard it is to achieve. Lot's and lot's of practice....obsessive amounts of practice.....like, 10,000 hours of practice to become proficient at it kind of a thing. Once you have it though, it's like riding a bike....you have it from then on.

This was my First concert. It was at Palmetto Civic Center FL. The Show lineup: When Megadeth too the stage, it was too this song! The Lights went out. The sound of the dropping bomb filled the civic center. Megadeth started performing the second the Bomb exploded. My first Metal concert 🔥 Megadeth Warlock Sanctuary (who Dave Mustaine produced) R.I.P. Warrel Dane…amazing vocalist.

@Syx You’re right about the positive vibes 😊I don’t really have an urge to take up drums but I admire those who do. I’ve always been impressed by their ability to do that. I mean, that little girl that Dave Grohl had a drum-off with can do it! So talented 😊 Oh absolutely have heard of Danny and Tool. Nobody on this channel will ever let me forget about Tool haha. I mean I do like them, I just don’t seem to be as fanatical about them as a lot of Tool fans are 🤷🏻‍♀️😊

Not every drummer can achieve this. It's called polyrhythms and typically involves triplets with one part of your body and straight notes with another

Into the Lungs of Hell is an Epic instrumental from Megadeth worthy of a reaction!!!

Well Dave Mustaine wrote some of their biggest songs, but was never on an album. There is a demo with him but it's not the best. Love the reaction, check out lying in state by megadeth its the newest stuff and Dave was 56 when he made it

Mustaine wrote alot of the songs and music on Kill’em All. He got kicked out of the band prior to the release. Kirk Hammett stepped in and took over lead guitar.

Wonderful drums here by Gar Samuelson. He had a jazz background which enabled him to really give a swung feel to many of the grooves for their early work. This enabled Dave to play off Gar and create some virtuosic, 'jazzy thrash' . The technique in this one song js light years beyond all Metallicas back catalogue put together

Yeah Mustaine was only with Metallica for their first album Kill em all but don't even know if I could answer that because they were awesome with or without him, He was just so talented that Megadeth became just as huge Metallica. This track was the first tune I ever heard from Megadeth and holy shit I just kept it on repeat while playing video games as a kid lol. Cheers \m/

Underrated album.

Alright, the history of Megadeth and Metallica regarding Dave Mustaine. Dave was the OG guitarist for Metallica. But was kicked out before he got to record an album with Metallica. He was replaced by Kirk Hammett, who played for Exodus, again, before Exodus recorded with him. All this took place circa 1982. Metallica released their first album in 1983. And both Megadeth and Exodus released their debuts in 1985. The other two bands in the Big 4, Slayer and Anthrax released their debuts in 1983 and 1984 respectively, if I recall correctly. But amongst long time metal fans, 4 other bands should have been a part of the Big 4 making a Big 8 if you will. And those are: Exodus, Overkill, Testament, and Flotsam & Jetsam. Jason Newstead who became Metallica's bassist in 1987 came over from Flotsam & Jetsam after only recording their debut album in 1986. All four bands are still active and recording albums, except Exodus hasn't put anything out since 2014, but are due for a new one this year it seems.

Dave Mustaine can absolutely shred!!! This is my second favorite Megadeth album next to Rust In Peace. Dave was not in Metallica for long. There was not room for two lead singers in the band. I feel like we got really lucky that Dave left the band because we got Megadeth which I have always loved more than Metallica. The only members of Megadeth really are Dave Mustaine and Deve Ellefson. The drummer and guitarist have always changed throughout the years. My fave lineup was when Marty Friedman and Nick Menza were in there for Rust In Peace. I saw them on a Clash Of The Titans Tour. It was Megadeth, Slayer, Anthrax and Alice In Chains opening up. One of the most amazing shows ever. I got to meet Dave Mustaine that night and he is one of the most down to earth dudes ever given all of his fame. That was almost 30yrs ago. 😬 It is so strange to me how we all hear music differently because I agree with you that I don’t like music that is all over the place but that is not what I hear here. I can distinctly pick out the rhythm in it. I also hate bands that just growl through their songs too which is also why I love Megadeth. Dave actually has an amazing voice that he knows how to use! Okay, I could gush forever about Megadeth because they are in my top 3 fave bands ever so I’m just going to stop there. Would ❤️ to hear more!!!
