I love the TASM 1 suit. For one, I think it fits perfectly with Peter's character arc during the movie. He's vengeful, and doesn’t care to be a hero at all when he first dons the costume. The suit makes him look incredibly intimidating. And with how much he works at night in the movie, I think it makes sense for him to not care about looking like a "friendly neighborhood" spider-man in favor of only finding the man who killed Ben. His suit reflects that nicely. The yellow eyes also fit into this well. Because if you actually change the eyes yourself and see how it looks, it partly loses that intimidating factor that they were going for. I agree that there should've been a belt added though.

The Tasm 2 suit is absolute perfection. Even without the emotive eyes it just looks amazing. The only “problem” I have with it is that the blue could’ve been a bit more vibrant as it looks more like an indigo than blue. Other than that 15/10 amazing

tasm 2 suit is really really good, but the eyes not being expressive like the tom hollands kill it for me. my personal favorite suit is either the black and red suit from ffh, or the blue and red suit seen at the very end of NWH.

I respect your opinion on the Iron Spider. I personally love it but I agree it would be much more iconic if it was only seen in Infinity War and Endgame.

I'm convinced the only reason people don't like the Iron Spider is either because it doesn't look like the comics Iron Spider (which I personally hate) or because it's something Tony made. It's one of my favorite Spidey suits of all time, and I'll never see it as anything but.

Man, it kinda hurt with Tobey's, but I still enjoyed the list and the video. I also think #1 is definitely the best suit for sure!

Spider-Man 2 (Raimi) with the Bright red and very Dark blue will always be my favorite

I have a theory about why Tom’s Peter used black instead of blue in the upgraded suit. I think it’s so he can show the love and affection that he feels for MJ cuz her favourite flower is the BLACK dalia and Peter must’ve remembered that which made him choose to put black instead of blue. Also, fun fact about Andrew Garfield: when andrew had free time between shooting of tasm 2, Andrew would keep the suit on and go around New York in the spidey suit and play basketball ball with kids.

I’m actually pretty sure the blue on Spider-Man was always meant to be black instead of blue. That was just how they colored black in comics back then.

The raimi symbiote suit makes sense for the menacing eyes. I do agree it needs to look more alien but I think they should of used to original black suit and after time it looks more alien, that would of been a good idea but Sam raimi didn’t know much about venom or the symbiote and wanted nothing to do with them. That was the first ever live action symbiote suit by a person who didn’t want to do it and that’s crazy.

I think the original design looks weak. I don't like it being so solid, or how big the spider is. I prefer the slightly less simple, completely black version, because it looks more serious, and a lot less goofy.

idk why you should really care.... The black suit in the comic is told to be this way... It's NVR shown to actually be that way. For instance, everyone keeps saying the alien suit. As someone who draws and understands 2D art. It means you have to interpret the rest on the way. How is the black suit and symbiote suit different??? They aren't. They are interpreted to be different. That being said, Black suit in Sam Raimi is amazing. If you are asking for more goo... Ask the comic book creators to make it more gooey first. Sam riami was going to make the suit completely black and thought... UK what it looks like shit in rl.

Tom's homemade suit is my favorite of the MCU suits. I really appreciate the simplicity of it.

@@cngotham4111 because it has the best colouring for one, the red is the most vibrant and doesnt have that pink tint that tasm2 one does. Second the raised webbing stands out more than any other suit, third the logo is the best size, doesnt cover 3/4 of his chest. Fourth the material is like something you can literally pick up at your local store, tasm2 the materials used for the blue segment are very expensive and thick and rubbery. even more so than the raimi suit.

It also helps andrew is thinner so the tasm 2 suit is thinner. I'd add the spider symbol is good on andrew and Tobey. Also it's all red not pink your eyes are failing you lol.

@@noellegendary3120 thats totally fair, a lot of people in the comments said they think its number 1 but my response was that while concept art has shown a great design, in the film we didn't get a full look at it and it was entirely CGI. Until we see a proper look at a physical suit I don't think it can make it to the top of the ranking

TASM 2 is the most nostalgic movie for me ever. It is my favourite movie I have ever watched. I watched it when it came out back in 2014 and my god, it’s incredible. I have been watching it a LOT in the past 9 years. I love your ranking lol.

Honestly I really like the first Andrew Garfield suit a lot, I like the yellow sunglass eyes but black eyes would be a nice touch.

I strongly agree TASM 2 has the best suit, also Andrew’s got the best body shape that really defines the suit. Bro arches his back just like a spider

People loved Tobey's suit because they grew up with it and that was what they thought Spider-Man looked like. I felt that way with Andrew Garfield's two suits and they will always be favorites!

Me too. I'm the same way.

The biggest thing i love about the ffh upgraded suit is the massive white spider on the back. Having the simple colors and contrast makes it one of my favorites. top 3 is 1.advanced suit (insomniac) 2.nwh final swing suit 3.ffh upgraded suit.

The black and gold suit is explained to be inside out but it looks more like it’s the tech layer beneath it. Making the fabric we see over it as a removable (washable) layer. Makes you wonder if there’s ANOTHER layer beneath it to keep his sweat away from the wires and other components.

Its so interesting how almost all the suits have the same base characteristics but are so different

Great video, I'd love to see an updated ranking that includes Nicholas Hammond and Shinji Tōdōs suits in here as well I really love the Nicholas Hammond suit personally, if you look at the NWH concept art you can see designs for the final swing suit which take heavy inspiration from the Hammond suit There's also a lot of pretty famous spiderman fan films on youtube like "peter's web" and "goblins last stand" which have more live action suits of varying quality levels

Great ranking! Tobey’s suit may not be the best of all time, but in my opinion is the best nostalgic feeling suit. With Andrew’s having the best look in terms of it looking like a kid actually made it with whatever materials he could find. And Tom’s suit being the best in terms of showing a more emotionally animated side of Spiderman due to the eyes.

@@CINEMAZE I always felt like the Amazing Spider-man 2 Andrew Garfield suit was the closest thing to the classic comic book we ever got. And then again with the final shots of the Tom Holland donning that new suit in No Way Home it felt like he was returning to form with that suit attempt again to be like the original. I'd even go so far as to say the final Tom Holland's suit is even brighter and has more vivid saturated colors like in the comics too.

honestly I prefer the TASM1 suit over the TASM2 suit, it just has a unique look to it, and the TASM2 suit is like they backpedalled on the TASM1 suit and decided to go back, and the giant eye lenses look goofy and way less serious than any other suit. it's a decent suit but everytime I look at it, I think this is a suit I could imagine Tobey Maguire in more than Andrew Garfield.

I think the less serious look of the suit was to reflect the less serious tone of TASM2 over TASM1 and Spidey is generally a light hearted character so I prefer the lighter look. Thanks for watching and commenting

my spider obsession originated from reading the new ultimate comics when i was still a tiny kid right before even the first raimi movie came out… yet not once UNTIL 2014 had any other design ever come even remotely close to topping ultimate spider-man’s for me, and not only did TASM2 finally give it some competition it actually WON and remains my personal #1 to this day ☺️ despite all that though i CAN still admit it DOES have some flaws-though only one is substantial enough to call more than a nitpick, and that boils down to the vertical positioning of the spider logo-which is much MUCH lower than both where the most properly visually balanced placement for it would be AND where it is in literally all of the comic book source material-and while that has a small effect on some other things/results in just a LITTLE proportional awkwardness, it’s still not remotely significant enough to knock it off the #1 it clearly deserves on this list 💖 anyways i loved your video and it’s obvious you’re genuinely passionate about the subject so i said f it i’ll do the in-depth comment 😛

I love Tom's Homemade suit. I'd be fine with a movie in it, so the design is nice, but it also shows how smart Peter is without the characters outright telling you he's smart. There were points in the Raimi films and TASM where it didn't feel like he was as smart as he should be with the exception of a few scenes, but Tom's movies sold that idea without really saying it. He has moveable lenses and created web shooters without any of Starks help, it works into the story really well, and we got the McFarlane logo as a bonus.

Honestly, i pretty much agree with you on all stops. I think if they tone down the gloss of the Final Swing suit, it'll be literally perfect. I think that the AS2 suit is defintiely one of the best, but i also dislike the shiny nature of it, and would personally put homecoming and final swing ahead of it, but that's more a personal take. great video ! and you also gave good reasonings for all your spots and examples of what you liked and disliked, even on the lowest rated of suits.

My top 3 is 3) NWH Final Swing suit, 2) TASM2 suit, 1)TASM1 suit. Andrew’s second suit is basically perfection but I’ve always been a sucker for his first one. I’ve loved it ever since I first saw it on screen, and idc what anyone says the yellow eyes are sick imo. His second suit is a very close second and the Raimi suit and Far from home suits are my runner ups being very close. All these 5 suits are very close to each other since they all look Fantastic.

Holy hell, I've always liked TASM1 suit, even though it lacked something in my opinion, but to me TASM2 suit always felt like a betrayal of the original concept. It was good, but I had this feeling of "they should've iterate on the previous design, not just ditch it in favor of a completely different one" and that version in the end of number 6... It's perfect, the best Spider-Man suit hands down, it's a shame it doesn't really exist.

I wasn't in LOVE with the raime suits, but the spiderman 3 suit touches me in weird places. I grew up with Garfield but whenever i see the non-symbiote Spiderman 3 suit it makes me wanna rewatch the entite trilogy. But i do agree with your #1 1000%

Brilliant question, that suit looks awesome very classic comic mixed with some MCU and previous Spidey suits. I get why they changed it because they wanted their suit to look more unique, but that prototype suit does look awesome so it would rank very high up my list I think. I also love the stark suit they replaced it with but it’s a shame it’s so CGI especially in civil war

I feel like Night Monkey and Black and Gold suit(inside out suit)are pretty underrated they are kinda good but yea it makes sense to put it low as they really weren’t necessary but nice addition to the suits

I know, I actually like the tasm 1 suit more than the tasm 2 suit. The orange lenses are very unique and cool.

It would probably be low on my list, purely because it is the oldest suit and made on a much smaller budget so it’s not really a fair comparison, but it’s a cool design and an interesting part of Spidey history

If any suit from the comics could appear in live action, which suit do you think would look best? My vote goes to the Spider Armour MK. II as something I think would be beautiful, but I like your rankings. Not as high on Andrew’s suit, but I get why it’s your #1.

mostly agree with these!! the eyes are a huge factor, but mostly i care about the pattern and color shades, which is why the no way home final suit isn't my fav, the shiny blue reminds me of a halloween costume. i'd probably also rank tasm2 at the top :) also i'm surprised that your channel hasn't taken off, wish you the best of success with it.

My favorite live-action Spider-Man suit is a tie between Tobey Maguire's suit in all three movies, especially the second movie and Andrew Garfield's TASM2 suit but I also like all of Tom Holland's suits as well.

Tobey’s speed and agility rivals Andrew’s but I agree. He’s too bulky because of the stunt double. He felt like a random goofball.

2:06 finally someone mentions this! He shouldn’t have wires on it it should be inside the thin spandex. Saw this on a post: Actually we have seen the insides of the Stark suit in Homecoming and it looked pretty close to this, except it had one extra layer of clothing to conceal of the wire/tech stuff. Considering this is a suit Peter made in FFH in an airplane using a machine with no time to learn how to use, it's pretty understandable that he would make such a simple mistake and forget the inside layer. Then he had no time to even fix it, if it bothered him so much cause NWH happens right after FFH. An easier explanation would be "looks cool" and "more toys" Also 7:49 is this edited or can you make out that he is wearing a glove on his right hand?

The CGI for Tobey Maguire looked fine. It’s so annoying how people get so nit picky when it comes to CGI when it actually looks fine

Its great for the time and doesn't ruin the films, but it does feel a bit rubbery and bendy at times. Like you say it looks fine, and looks better than some CGI in recent MCU stuff, but it doesn't look great compared with Amazing Spider-Man CGI which I think is fantastic. Critics were criticizing the cgi back in 2002. So obviously it wasn't fine sometimes. The 2nd movie though greatly improved the cgi.

@ottooctavius9552 but that doesn't change that the cgi in those movies look like ps2 graphics. The point is it's not a new criticism of the movies. Like spiderman 2 does the best job of hiding the effects but it is extremely obviously when there's cgi. Amazing spiderman did a way better job with cgi.

I still think Tobeys is the best suit. Its just too damn perfect in terms of blending it with the original comics, but giving a modern more realistic look. The raised webbing was a fantastic choice and honestly all the suits should do it. He has the best spider symbol also. But ASM2 suit is a close second for me. You can even tell it was inspired by Raimis with the raised webbing and dark blues and reds. I think Toms newest suit is definitely his best. I never liked any of the Stark suits cause he relies on them wayyy too much. But I think its almost too close to the comics, where it looks a bit cartoony. Which is why I believe Raimis to be #1. Because its close enough to the comics, but not too much to look like a Halloween costume.

I love all the holland suits, I HATE the sticking out web lines, I really like the flat lines, definitely gets too many suits though. I also think the homecoming homemade suit makes so much more since and looks better because why would a nerdy teen know sowing?

I agree your opinions on Raimi suits, they felt a bit buffed and goofy. But, I think STARK suit is the best as Tony Stark himself built it. It has the iconic looks and also the tech. If u compare it with the far from home suit it is still much better technologically and looks wise both

i just wanna mention since you didnt in the vid but the far from home suit also does have some uniqueness such as the black going over onto the gloves, making the red look more like a line connecting the shoulders to the fingers instead of the whole forearm

I still feel like it could be a lot better if they keep the same design yet do a color change keeping the classic red and gold. There are a few concepts online of what it could look like that look beautiful. I would recommend looking some up 👀

I think Andrew Garfield's first suit is the best LOOKING. I also think it's cool that he used sunglasses as the eyes so the sun won't be in his face. I'm not hating on your opinion. I just wanted to share mine.

The reason why spider man had to make a new suit at the end of no way home is because tony makes the suits only work for the person that he makes it for and sense he made doctor strange cast a spell for everyone to forget Peter Parker the suit wouldn’t work for him anymore

This is not true. We see Ned wear Peters mask in homecoming and the eyes still move showing the technology works even when not worn by Peter. We also see in No Way Home that a lot of the suit technology does not work any more because the Stark satellites are deactivated during the investigation into Happy and the movie says stark network and facial recognition unavailable. Therefore the suit wouldn’t recognise anyone’s face even the owners, meaning it does not only work for Peter and does not require Face ID to function.

The TASM1 costume has recently become my favorite live action suit and is rivaled only by the far from home suit. I definitely appreciate how either costumes' design is a reflection of the Peter Parkers that made them and the details on both are really nice. What's great is how well these designs and colors translate to spandex cosplay suits (if done properly like what one would find on Printcostume) and that's without any puff paint. But yes, the take away of a belt (tasm1) could have at least been made up for if those curved stripes on the sides were pushed to the front side to resemble the secret wars suit a little bit, because part of me just likes the no belt thing for some reason- the whole vibe is menacing yet also very sleek and sporty. Meanwhile I actually appreciate all the over the top lines and techy stuff slapped onto the far from home suit, makes for a very textural costume that's high quality and also sleek like the TASM suit, but in a different way. Also the TASM webshooters-- hasn't gotten more interesting since then design and execution-wise, they really outdid themselves with those blue watches haha. I still respect the Toby suit a lot but in Spider-man remastered I have made AgroFro's "Photoreal TASM" my go-to 😅 he's actually made a movie pack thing with the raimi, tasm1 and tasm2 suit and every now and then I'll pick one of the others. I still appreciate the TASM2 suit-- but not the movie itself 😂

just a quick note on the new Red and Blues from NWH, i really love that the only tech carried over to this suit was the emotive eyes, the only technology that Peter himself developed before he even met Stark (other than webbing and web shooters). there’s just something about this soft reboot of the character that really makes me excited for his future movies, like a return to form for how we remember him, and i think the lenses being his own is a microcosm of that feeling and narrative. edit: a word

Going to stand by my take that TASM1 suit is forever the best Live-Action suit. That shit is gorgeous.

I actually really agree with this the rest of these I’ve seen are terrible but I love this keep up the good work

#8 WAS controversial. The symbiote suit is probably my favorite of them all, because I hate bright red, dull blue, and I adore black. Dark colors just look cooler, and more serious, and darkness is just more realistic than the more positive red and blue.

Thats fair enough but to me Spidey is not a dark and serious character and so the positive colours work for him. Of course when he is in Symbiote mode its darker but then I prefer the classic black and white contrast over the muted colours of the Raimi black suit. Thanks for watching and commenting

DANG! Putting the no way home end suit in second place?! I respect the tasm 2 suit, but i think alot of people can agree that the nwh end suit is the PERFECT spidey suit! ITS SO GORGEOUS! 🤩🥹 And out of all the suits, the nwh end suit looks the most like spiderman! I like your ranking though.

I agree it’s awesome but the problem is we haven’t had a clear look at it and it’s mostly CGI, if we see a real physical version of that suit and the design looks as good as we think then it might be number 1!

@@CoolMan1_SonicAndOtherStuff in the movie its constantly moving and we don't get a good look at it. Marvel has only released one official image of the suit and its not a real image but artwork, so we haven't seen enough to say its the best

I'd rank Raimis suit on a shared 2nd place alongside Tom Hollands final suit in NWH, and the Spiderman 3 Symbiote suit at #4, but aside from that, great list.

I get the iron spider being his main suit because it has instant kill if needed but she probably won’t use it but still a good bonus to have well. It doesn’t have the spider drone of the homecoming one the nanotechnology can still be useful

There isn’t much of a different between the two Raimi suits so I just ranked them as the same as they would be at similar positions for me. TASM2 though 😭😭

I love the home coming suit. The bright light colors and sleek design with not over emphasized webs is just a fresh take.

Out of all 3 spider men Andrew Garfield had the best build for the role. I agree with your point on how hes taller and leaner and feels more like spiderman. TASM 1 suit is prob my all time favourite

Tom’s Final swing suit is my favorite because, when I look at it, unlike every other suit, I don’t see a specific version. I just see Spider-Man. Even TASM2 suit I don’t see that. I explicitly see an incarnation of the Todd Macfarlane style which I’ve never personally preferred. I just think the eyes are a bit too big for my taste. But when I see Tom’s final suit, I just see Spider-Man.
