I really don't know how 4 years of development weren't enough for insomniac Bruh, people had to wait 5 months after launch for them to fix certain suits (tasm 2 lenses is now broken) and to add NG+ and repeat missions. 2018 and Miles was a much better experience than the second one

Actually it's 5 years of development. The New Game Plus not being on launch was Sony's fault for pressuring them. Insomniac said they were supposed to get it ready before the end of 2023 but the hack happened causing a delay and 1 week after the hack they announced the delay. Marvel's Spider Man 2 is objectively better then Miles Morales.

Gameplay wise, Spider-Man 2 is definitely my favorite. Story wise is still Spider-Man 1 tho, easily my favorite story driven game ever

Agree 100% Game was 100% rushed, besides the traversal and map the first game was way better. The story, writing, side content/amount of content and main missions

To me the 3rd act felt way too short and it felt like they wanted to do way more than what they actually did, the game just has this weird aura that there was more stuff they wanted to do but couldn't, also the colors feel more washed out to me compared to the first and I just like the more vibrant colors of the first game

Exactly I think if they had the time to do everything it would've been such a better game

I give it a 6 because I bought a ps5 specifically for this game. I played SM1 and Miles Morales at least 8 times each. I beat SM2, beat new game+ and did the Venom section on replay a couple of times and deleted it until the DLC comes.

This game was the main thing i wanted for my 23rd birthday after i got the Playstation 5

I bought the console for this game and the boxing game that is stuck in development hell. It was very alright but disappointing considering the hype.

I couldn't tell the difference between difficulty I was always good started the first one on spectacular and was glad when I unlocked ultimate

No lie when I get spiderman 2 I'm gonna mostly switch and play peter idk he looks better too play as with his symbiote powers being able to hit everything on screen and have some insane dps tracking. Miles I will have fun with his multiple venom abilities but pete got him beat since you can use the symbiote Tentacles and Spider arms and have surge mode. Peter looks like he's gonna do more damage 😅

If there’s one take away any game can take away from the Arkham games are sequels and how you need to take your take your time to not disappoint the fan base since the first was so good and deliver with a amazing sequel that is at the same level if not better then the original and I think if they were able to take there time with the game and put more quality this game could of been so much better but even with that this game is amazing

Look, I'm glad you agreed it's great and you love it and I agree it's fantastic as well, but it's not really disappointing. The game is better then it's predessesors in almost every ways except story. Now don't get me wrong, story is great, the only thing rushed was the third act. First 2 acts were great. My other issue is lack of varieties in side missions, even though it's improved and less repetitive, we could use more varieties. Spider Man 2 improves upon everything criticised from the previous entries. I would like to correct you on part of the story regarding the symbiote Peter arc. Peter can't have the symbiote longer since the longer Peter keeps it then Harry would be week. You saw him using the cane which shows he is running out of time. So Peter has to give it back eventually. Anyways, here are my thoughts: Story: 8.5/10 Gameplay: 37/40 Bosses: 9.5/10 Combat: 9/10 Side Missions: 8.5/10 Traversal: 10/10 Overall: 45.5/50 (91%)

@@dobersquad1042 nah story is great but definitely the first one has a better story (the only thing that the first one got that's better). Bryan Intihar only said the third act was rushed with all the Venom stuff being cut. That was on Sony for pressuring them.

Even though he did more cool stuff on screen, I still would love to actually see that in action 2) The kept some of the same writers from the first one while also using the new ones. Storywise is solid but as I have already agreed, the first one has a better story.

Yea that's a good point with Peter's symbiote, and I agree with the side missions they were definitely one of my biggest issues with this game

funny take i'm not sure how people can believe it's disappointing, maybe the story but outside of that makes zero sense.

The side missions and random crimes haven't improved or evolved. Car chases have gone through a clear downgrade. Way to much time was dedicated to walking around as Peter, MJ, or Miles' girlfriend doing non-superhero fantasy things. Yet somehow there wasn't enough time to flesh out Harry Osborne or Venom. Content like replayable main & enemy base missions, time/weather change, time trials, and ng+ were missing at launch. It took them months for some of those basic features to be added. The symbiote powers doesn't go beyond a couple of abilities with cool down times. Most of which can be replaced by Peters gadgets. The majority of iconic Spider-man villians were either killed off or reformed. Besides Wraith, the characters on Peter's side including Peter himself are all Mary Sues with no real flaws. The only time that changes is when the Symbiote is introduced. After it gets taken off, everything resumes back to normal with no consequences outside of Harry's possible death.

AT LEAST YOU HAVE THE GAME

It was disappointing because they had to force in pandering miles for no reason when people just wanted a straight Peter Parker/ venom storyline
