In my opinion some of these suits are saved by their recolors; the 'smoke and mirrors suit" looks a lot better in his white and red styles because it has nicer balance. The evolved suit has one style that fixes the suit almost entirely

Ben Reilly's dirt poor because he's, y'know, not a legal entity on behalf of being an illegal clone, thus lacking any form of identity needed for stuff like... Buying a house. Opening a bank account. Getting a job. Ben Reilly couldn't have made that paneling. The best he could've done was a trip to, idunno, a Party City, a Goodwill, and any autoparts store? Hell, canonically, he either stole the hoodie from the New York Field Museum or dumpster dove for it. That panelling is way outta his price range.

A detail that can't be understated on the ITSV suit is the stealth black webbing that only appears when it catches the light. It's something unique that has never been done on any suit before, and adds a level of depth to the costume without impeding on the simplicity

I thought The comic suit, the Peter B suit and the last stand suit were going to get in easy. Imagine my surprise when they picked the NWH suits (FFH suit and New red and blue suit excluded) over these ones

I think you should’ve taken into account the recolors when ranking these suits. Some of them I would agree with IF we didn’t get great recolors, because I think the black and gold or black and purple versions of the black Panther suit fixes the problem of it looking like a watered down miles suit.

The Sportswear suit similarly is solved by this, since PSM's wishes that it had a colour scheme calling forward to the black and red suit are answered by two of the colour schemes. Plus, the green one is clearly a Spider-Verse reference.

The Bodega Suit may still be my favorite design for Miles. The lenses, the colors, the web pattern, I like it a lot. I just wish we could see the whole suit without the hoodie, shoes, and backpack.

Cool list and haven't finished the video yet, but i think itd be cool to get an updated list that takes into account the alternate colours, because for many of them it really makes a difference. the forever suit, for example, I don't really like in red, but it looks pretty decent in purple, and the black and red OG peter suit is also really good.

The Forever suit is supposed to be a tribute to Chadwick Boseman, so I mostly wear it out of respect for that fact. Plus the color variants are pretty cool. Also, you were silent for most of the Miles Advanced Suit segment.

I love the New Red and Blue suit, my only issue with it initially was that the blue looked way too green on my TV and a smidge to dark also. I've noticed a lotta people had the same issue. But I managed to fix it by going into the color spacing settings on my TV and make the aqua color way more blue, and it looks so much better and more accurate now

@@Bwoodlyy color spacing, it should be in the advanced visual settings. It lets you turn up or down the various intensity of certain colors...within a color- So like, with blue, you can reduce the green intensity of it to get a more pure blue. Or another is turn up the intensity of blue within the color aqua to make it more of a cyan. That's how it worked on my TV anyway

Fun fact about the Inside Out Suit, it was (probably) not originally planned for it, it was actually planned be a magic suit. In two of the several leaked scripts of the film, two different scenarios were mentioned, one where Strange realizes that Peter is capable of using magic, training him and fusing Stark technology with magic and another where Strange directly only creates the suit for him. Now the reason why these leaks are possibly real is the fact that many parts and dialogues turned out to be left in the film, incidentally the design of the suit changed several times and even in promotional arts for figures conceptual designs were used that lacked the cables or even gave him red gloves or different little details. It's not confirmed yet, but I like (and anger) to think that in another universe this suit made sense and didn't look so ugly.

The alternative colours for some of these suits make them much better. For example i prefer the gold black panther variant and the red version of the new blue suit, i think the white emblem on the back is a nice design. And the family business suit with the red gloves and boots is one of my favs

Overdesigned is the single best way to describe the original suits in these games. The best way I can explain it is that it feels like the custom shoe designs people make in the NBA 2K games where it’s just 100 layers of noise

My problem with the encoded suit is that the orange doesn't flow well into the red it just awkwardly cuts into the red

Mainly because my best friend is Filipina & as such I am decently familiar with the superhero tropes that exist in the Phillipines that influence it. (Agimat is Tagalog for “amulet” as a reference to a large chunk of superhero stories in the Phillipines involving getting powers from magic amulets)

I’m in this weird spot where I wish the raimi suit was a bit better but I also understand why insomniac probably won’t change how it looks considering the utter hell they went through when this suit wasn’t in spider man ps4 at launch. At least now I can finally use this suit without feeling bad for insomniac, so that’s good :) (Plus the raimi black suit has some very nice texturing on the eyes and fabric which is a cool bonus!)

wow, 68 whole suits! time to main the classic for the whole game.

Since no one else is mentioning it, this tier list video perfectly emulates a classic AVGN reviews. That is an enourmous compliment. You were able to perfectly recapture what a whole avalanche if AVGN clones couldn't.

Some of my favorite color variants on a few of these has to be: -The Kumo Suit Black & White variant -The Secret Civil dumb name suit Pink Variant -and The End Miles suit the White and Grey variant. The way his red and black pops under the white is just UGHF, fire asf.

The homecoming suit is so nice, the black lines are a little distracting but seeing it the first time was so peak. Got everything about the classic suit in a modern more tech based costume and I think it works very well 😤

My biggest gripe is the level placing of the suits. WHY IS THE INSIDE OUT SUIT THE LEVEL 60 REWARD??? IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE NEW RED AND BLUE. THAT WOULD FEEL LIKE AN ACTUAL REWARD.

I gotta say, my main problem with four specific suits in the game is that they feel like replacements for suits from the original game, except for one, which just feels like a replacement for a suit from the comics (which was also an outfit for Shattered Dimensions). I really wish we got the Cyborg Spider-Man, Manga Spider-Man (with a bit of a redesign), and Bagman outfits were added back, cause the Apunkalyptic, Kumo, and New Blue suits just felt like lamer replacements. As for that last suit, I didn't like it too much in Shattered Dimensions, but I'll admit that I'd rather take the 1602 suit over the Stone Monkey suit. So the new Insomniac originals aren't all great, and them feeling like replacements to me doesn't help them in my personal ranking, as I do prefer their counterparts. But other than that, I do enjoy a ton of these suits. The Smoke and Mirrors one felt really nice to look at, though I do agree that the quilt patterns would look nicer. The New Red and Blue suit is my personal favorite, and the TASM 2 and Into the SpiderVerse suits are also pretty great. I just hope that Shattered Dimensions outfits are added to the game later, especially the Noir and 2099 suits. I just really like that game if you can't tell.

To me, the best thing about Peter's Life story suit is the mask. It looks so good and it could be the base for an inspired Mark Bagley suit.

I actually like the inside out suit and integrated suit, just not for the intended reasons. I like the inside out suit’s design alone, the wires are a bit much, but the rest I think it’s really cool it just doesn’t really work as being the far from home suit turned inside out. And the integrated suit I like because to me it is a better translation of the iron spider into live action and I would’ve much preferred that suit be used in infinity war over the actual MCU iron spider, but I don’t think it works as an evolution of the far from home suit because that suit was great on its own and the iron spider elements do detract from that design, but on its own thinking of it as an iron spider design I actually think it’s pretty decent

I'd like the absolute carnage suit more if it didn't show the toes and if there wasn't that much of a pattern going on, like the actual carnage symbiote

the Stone Monkey suit is a take on Sun Wukong. When you have that in mind, alot of the designs of the suit stand out and look better, imo

i feel like what we really needed was some classic spiderman suits based off of specific comic book artists

The absolute carnage suit is from the absolute carnage comic line, I believe the suit is from when Miles takes back control over his body from the symbiote that was placed on him, I like it I like the 1st alternate color for the new blue suit, it’s sleek, and has a lot by having very little and looks great with the original red and blue in my opinion The king in black suit is in reference to Knull, the god of symbiotes, and the king in black, it is based off of him, the spiral is in reference to his followers, as seen in absolute carnage Aracknight is based off of the superhero from when the marvel universe folded in on itself (I am not sure if that is actually what happened, but I think something along those lines happened) during that event Spider-Man and Moon Knight combined into one hero

ok I actually kind of like the evolved suit. I think it looks pretty good. biggest sin is the hair and I think that could be fixed if Miles had a different cut. THAT SAID it defiantly works better in its alt pallets, especially the one which brings it closer to miles more typical outfit.

No, no it is not. Bro really just calmly aired his grievances with D Tier only to get actually mad about the suits in C Tier. What sense does that make? He also didn’t touch on the recolors that make some of the suits better than their base designs.

Broooooooooo the Absolute Carnage Suit is Fiiiiire! It looks straight out of a comic and vibes well with the enemy symbiote designs

The advanced suits were so so good. When I first played spider-man 2018, I instantly fell in love with the white logo with the light red and blue design. Advanced Suit 2 is just as good and maybe even better with the darker red and blue contrasting with the classic white spider. SO good. I also think the Anti-venom suit gets too much hate. I like the white symbiote design with the simplistic color scheme. The black suit and symbiote suits are EVEN BETTER. I loove the unique gooey and veiny look of each that makes the suit look alive compared to previous iterations. Im not sure which insomniac black suit I like better. They're both so gooood. The adidas miles suit is the worst suit in the game. But, although I was not the biggest fan of the miles new suit at the start of the game. It's still super good and I love the color scheme of all the miles suits. Insomniac did a fantastic job with the suits and im excited for the game that may end the trilogy of Spider-Man games and what they do with Marvel's Wolverine. 2018 was such a special year to me. I ABSOULTELY agree that classic black suit may be the best suit in the game. It's just another level.

Gotta say that my biggest problem with the spiderverse suits is the framerate with them. Kinda hurts my eyes if i look at them for long enough

Just turn off the film effect in display settings and they look normal like the rest of the suits I believe, the effect is specifically for them suits, you can turn off the 'Pow' 'Bang' cartoon effects off as well
