    this is true pack politics people looking in will say you shouldn't be allowing them to fight and all that but this is how they establish authority in the wild so its all natural behaviour.

    FABULOUS educational video of a truly great Alpha dog showing the newcomer who’s boss! He is firm when needed and uses pressure beautifully. I hope you have many more years with him! I’m sure the yellow male will try him again. Pack behavior is different from aggression and aggression is different than viciousness. Thank you for sharing that.

Hajlamos a zsarnokoskodásra. Ők nem őrkutyák hanem terelőkutyák. Gyakran jövünk össze a barátokkal semleges területen, ekkor egy hatalmas falkát képezünk. Itt is nagyon jól megfigyelhető a "vezérkutyák" egymással szembeni reakciója. Több ilyen videó kellene ! Köszönöm a feltöltést!!!

    great videos my man, I have also seen the other one with these two dogs, where the gray is on the chain, I think because the blonde dog has the same father he has that dominant blood and even though he doesnt understand pack heirarchy he is also fearless, mabye one day he might challenge the gray for pack dominance, could we have another video of these two to see how the relationship has proceeded to now, keep up good work

    Sorry for commenting so much, I just love these two dogs especially out of your pack. Both look very well built, strong yet agile and athletic. I've watched this video too many times to count, and can't come to a conclusion on this. Are they straight Illyrian Shepherds, or some mixture of Sarplaninec/other shepherds of the region?

  • @kinomad1

    @kinomad1

    8 жыл бұрын

    +Dario P Yes, here are many wolfs in the mountains forests. My dogs do not defend sheep, but their brothers, sisters and puppies. My dogs "produces" the dogs who defend the sheep. This month I will upload one or two videos about dogs bred by me defending or just learning (puppies) to defending sheep.

  • @kinomad1

    @kinomad1

    8 жыл бұрын

    +Dario P Yes, just in this autumn I gave 3 puppies for a shepherd. I will upload a video in December about them. Unfortunately in every year dies 1-2 dogs bred by me fighting with wolfs or with other packs of LGDs. In the optimal situation dogs more are keeping away the wolfs from sheep than fighting full contact with them. Wolfs get in fight with dogs only if they are in overpower. And then is no mercy ...

    They are not belonging to a certain kind of "breed". They are simply livestock guardian dogs. In original Eurasian environment did not existed breeds, only types. Breeds, especially so called "pure breeds" are modern things, and in long term ruins the dogs, especially livestock guardian dogs. The main stream dog breeding institutes deny this, but it is true. They are concerned about appearances, show, business. I am concerned about the real and authentic quality and performance of these dogs.

    +Trevor Wright You have been fed the modern view of "CO". The over bred 85kg lumbering clowns are useless for running and twisting with wild wolves. A 40-50 kg wolf would have a Stalin-OC for breakfast. Look at CO pictures from Georgia from the beginning of the 20th Century - none over 65kg. Probably not many over 60kg even. The "exhibiton CO's" are a Soviet invention from the 40's, partly from mixing in St Bernhards. They are not made for protecting lifestock against wolves or bears. Too slow, too docile.

Good for you my friend I have seen all your video series, excellent job for excellent WORKING GUARD DOGS, fantastic tests for real working guard dogs, excellent courage evaluations. I suppose the dogs in this video are caucasians right ? What kind of mix is the German Shepherd with collie perhaps ?

  • @kinomad1

    @kinomad1

    8 жыл бұрын

    +dkoriss1 Thank you for appreciating! No, they aren't Caucasians. The yellow dog is 37,5% Central Asian, 37,5% Sarplaninac and 25% Kangal. The grey dog is 37,5% Central Asia, 37,5% Caucasian and 25% Sarplaninac. I have to make my special mixes because the modern dog breeding ruined the real Eurasian LGDs. I try to recover and save somehow that ancient quality. I don't know what kind of mix should be the German Shepherd. He is not mine. He is my neighbors dog, but always comes with us if I go outside to fields with my dogs.

    +dkoriss1 When I started with mixes - 9 year ago - I have used a very old fashioned Sarplaninac female, Karaman type, if you know it. This one: kzread.info/dash/bejne/qH6Vps9wl92ekrQ.html She had not an impressive look, but after I experienced her soul, well, that impressed me. A few months ago I have used the genetics of an other Sarplaninac. A male who looks impressive, but anatomically correct impressive. Yes, one bigger, like a "caucasian". (But do not forget that the original caucasians were not that big like now.) His guard dog test was excellent, just now I try to get the test video. He is an aboriginal dog, was bred in Balkan. This is: kzread.info/dash/bejne/jIWNy4-YY6i_ops.html On that channel you can find more videos about him. Now we have 4 puppies from him, and we will repeat the mate to obtain more puppies. Almost all the puppies will live in mountains guarding sheeps. We will see if they are really good LGDs.

    are people completely forgetting that aboriginal COs are bred like this as well? for those who don't know aboriginal COs this is a little information about them: they are COs but have strict rules concerning reproduction and living style, they must be kept free so that natural selection will always bring the next offspring and humans cannot interfere with them, else they are not aboriginal COs, why do they breed those? because shepherds need an LGD that has the best health and genetic history, this is achieved by natural selection. because an LGD that has bad genetics (like most in the show ring have) are prone to a lot of health issues, while the aboriginals have less since they are in a sense wild animals.

    +kinomad I agree. I have a presa canario and rottweiler. presa is 55kg and the rottweiler is 47kg both good examples. But I see people saying their presa is 70kg etc and people all seem to be breeding to try and make the dogs as large as possible. not only is it causing health problems but the dogs have poor working abilities. It was extremely difficult for me to find a quality rottweiler a lot harder than it was to find a decent presa. I really like the lgd dogs especially the cao. Been doing a lot of research but I don't think they are the right dog for me. The biggest problem for the cao if I'm hearing they tent to wander and stray? which would be a big problem and the co seems to bark an awful lot.

    Philip Morgan Yes they are much less cooperative like rottweiler. And they are much more territorial aggressive too, that is why the extensive barking.

    I agree with the other guy. Your comment makes it seem you mean exactly what he said. That if a dog mounts another dog he is "gay". Which isn't the case. Its a display of dominance and all males do that. Thats why you should never let a dog jump on you regardless of the gender. Even females do this sometimes although its rare unless you have an alpha female instead of a male.
