Definately. I'd add "Mutter" live in Paris as well. For me one of the best metal ballads in time. 😃

Till Lindemann (the Singer), used to be on a short list to the 1980 Olympics (for East Germany), but he never got there, and he have kept himself in shape ever since. Till is also a licensed pyrotechnician, and does all the pyro himself. "An incident in September 1996 caused a section of the band's set to burn, and as a result, Lindemann got his certification in pyrotechnics so the band could perform with pyrotechnics more safely than it had previously" The reason why Flake (the guy on the keyboard) is on a treadmill, is actually quite simple, he have so much energy, that he can't stand still, and because of all the fireworks he for obvious reasons can't run randomly around the Stage. The reason why the members looks dirty is because of anti flammable gel, because of safety reasons, and some of the powder residue sticks to the gel, making them look dirty. I'm not certain about this, but I have read several times, that Till does have some stage fright, so he often picks a point over the crowd that he focus on, instead of looking directly into the crowd. "The lightning" is CGI added afterward, the rest is quite real. How hot is was, it was hot, ..I have been to 3 of their shows (not this one thought), but 2 outdoors, and 1 indoor, the indoor was really hot, I drank 2 bottles of water and felt like I have used a couple more. The band have some merchandise if buy ticket to the front row, with the text "I survived Front Row at a Rammstein Concert" I don't have that myself, but one of my friends have. I can tell you he has stage fright and he loves fire. So he combined it and took it into the show. Because then he is more thinking of what is "coming up", or what he uses next, rather than "there are people staring at me". I can rely to it as an actress in theatres. We both love the performance itself, but we like to keep it in "our world", which is hard as a lead vocalist in a band. As an actress, you are not "completely alone" up there and indeed in your own world, because You think of the next line, the props and so on. I have to correct you a bit, because since minimum 10 years (I think even longer), Rammstein has also a professional pyro production team with who he plans the show, because it got too big. One of the reasons, why he could not be in the Olympic Games anymore, was an injury. Enjoy your Sunday.

My favorite lullaby is "Mein Herz brennt" in the two versions you can find on youtube : one with the all band and a terrific video, and one where Till sings alone, with only a piano on his back. Enjoy if you have time for it !

Rammstein the best live band on earth by fare, I'm nearly 60 years old and I saw them all. AC/DC, Kiss, Queen, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Slipknot, Marilyn Manson, Black Sabbath, Motörhead, Judas Priest, Pink Floyd, Rolling Stones and so on. When it comes to showmanship, pyro and live show perfection they are all preescholars and boring jumping around clowns compared to Rammstein. A Rammstein concert is a lifetime experience you will never forget. The most extraordinary thing about this band is that they have played with the same line-up since they were founded (Rammstein fanboy over 25 years)

The live shows are always on fire with Rammstein 😁 Any Rammstein song is great and any live show is fire (they love fire). Some videos are only for adults channels 😇 I discovered them in 2009 thanks to the 1999 Live aus Berlin DVD and I fell in love with them immediately. I enjoyed the 2010 concert in Chile even though it was with less pyrotechnics than usual due to the restrictions on the large number of pyro tons they had. But it was still great! I have learned a lot of German thanks to Rammstein. 😂

To understand their musik fully, you have to speak german very well, they a playing with words in German, that is even hard to get all even for german people. In this song for example du hast mich, meaning you got/have me but also du haßt mich, meaning you hate me. Sond nearly identical, but there is a slight difference in pronounciation. Sorry for my bad english, as you might know by now, it is not my native language :)

In this song is hidden much more than pun with have and hates. But you have to listen very carefully to it. "Will you till death do you part..." "Will you till the death of the vagina ..." It sounds almost the same (in German), but....

The lightning striking the keyboardists fingers is not real, it's an added effect. Saw the show live and it was imence though no electrocution. The stein at the end of their name is pronounced like it is in lichinstein.

XXX was 20 years ago LOL, Rammstein have been going 25+ years with no change of line-up. Are you going to Cardiff or Coventry? I'm going to Cardiff. This is from a cinema release film of that tour, so it is 'enhanced' (the lighning and the stage explosion). He's right, you need to do a bit of research - have a look at the current tour set-list and do your best. you will honestly enjoy yourself a whole lot more if you know what the songs are about (Puppe, Rammstein, Links 2,3,4, and, well, most of them), Rammstein - Rahym-Schtyne by the way - don't generally write songs for the sake of it, they all have deep roots. If you at least have a grip on the gist, you'll enjoy yourself a whole lot more. If you would like to see what you have in store, then look at 'Sonne' live 2019 on You Tube. It is phenomenal. I can't wait to go, I hope you have the *best* time.

Had tickets for their show in DC at Fed X Field 2020, then the shit hit the fan and you know the rest, CANCELED !!! Short story, saw them in Berlin in a bar( before they were big) when I was in the service. You can imagine seeing them in a bar that held at max 200 people. The most disturbing and discussed song is "Deutschland" about 2000 years of German history. Check the official MV, not one of the many live versions. Rammstein (the -ei- in -stein is pronounced as the -i- in shine) is outstanding also for its lyrics (the lead singer Till Lindemann is known as a poet as well): Very poetic, full of references to classical German literature, with many words uncommon in modern German, double meanings etc. A typical example is the ballade "Nebel" (Fog) about death and loosing a beloved person. There is no MV or live version, just check out one of the versions with the lyrics in German and English. A wonderful love ballade is "Stirb nicht vor mir" (Don't die before I do). Till is singing the male part in German, the Texan Sharleen Spiteri the female part in English.

Flake, the keyboardist, has a treadmill because he gets bored. Previously he used a segway on stage, but crashed into Till (lead singer) and wrecked his knee, and concerts had to be cancelled.

@@TheThamesmen you guys should check out the 2013 Hurricane Festival live of the song Mein Teil :) edit: although, if you're seeing them live next year then you'll witness it in action - be sure to hydrate though, because even being aaaaall the way at the back of the venue is a toasty experience!

Some people think Rammstein are fascist, which is not true. In their youth, they all were Punks and Goths. In fact, they all were raised socialists in the GDR and they still consider themselves left-wing. And they're also not just saying that. The two guitarists kissed during a show in Moscow, where this kind of behaviour is considered to "advocating homosexuality" and is illegal. In equally homophobic Poland, they flew a rainbow flag on stage. All their Germanic over-the-top-ness is just a send-up of German fascism.

I have heard all this from my good German friend. It is an interesting aspect of the band. I also hear a song Deutschland needs to be understood in the context that it is delivered in. It was great to see the band I have morals and intelligence as well as a great show

Welcome to the world of Rammstein. There are so many brilliant songs. Try for example "Mein Herz brennt" ("My heart is burning"). But NOT the piano version, it is to soft for Rammstein. We all like the Rammstein riffs, so the piano is the wrong instrument for playibg hard riffs...

This is the only song I’ve heard by them. No insult intended here…..but the song seems…….very simple and repetitious. No doubt because it’s supposed to be a chant …..if I knew what they were saying it might have more power to me. Great guitar sound and good vocalist

It is simple in English.. it is exercise and play on words and meaning in German which doesn’t translate well into English. . It is repetitive. Not my favourite song of theirs

Apparently Du Hast is a play on words as sounds same as du haast. One means ‘you have’ and one is ‘you hate’. Rammstein have a really interesting story if you dig deeper and there songs my seem one way but in fact are very much the opposite
