Ramit Sethi's Advice on How To Get Rich in 2024 | Mark Divine Show

Ramit Sethi (@ramit) is an entrepreneur, financial advisor, and author. His New York Times bestselling book, I Will Teach You to Be Rich, has sold over 10 million copies. Ramit is passionate about how people view their relationship with money and how it impacts romantic relationships. He has a Netflix series coming out this year, where he will take people on the journey to a wealth mindset and habits.
Passionate, focused, and purposefully unrealistic, Ramit Sethi wants people to dream big about money. He recently released a companion journal to his New York Times bestselling book titled I Will Teach You to Be Rich: The Journal. In this playbook, he teaches and encourages the participant to dream big and create a vision that can be activated, acted on, and materialized.
Key Takeaways:
Visioning Your Rich Life: Each of us has a unique vision of a prosperous life. Knowing yours, writing it out, and visualizing is a step toward financial freedom and success. Be specific in your creation and dream as BIG as you possibly can.
Debt and Financial Planning: Do not ignore your debt and just hope it goes away. Take the time to sit down and plan how to get out of debt. If it feels overwhelming, find support to help you map out a path to financial freedom.
Partnerships and Money: Understanding your romantic partner's beliefs about money are essential. Money problems or different belief systems can create unnecessary stress in relationships.
Your Relationship with Money: Many of us spend time working on having healthy relationships with people, ourselves, food, and work. Money often needs to be noticed. Carving out time to learn about how money works, your beliefs regarding money, and creating a plan for your financial abundance is important.

I realized that the secret to making a million is making better investment. I always tell myself you don't need that new car or that vacation just yet and that mindset helps me make more money investing.

Mark Divine is a mentor. He improved my life, and more importantly, I’ve passed his “mountains” onto my kids.

I just sent this to my closest friends: Say whaaaat?!!!! Mark Divine was probably my favorite guest so far in Brian Johnson’s Heroic Mastery. We know I’m a Ramit fan. Now they’re together?!!!! Adding this to my list of things I get to do! Thank you to you both! Ramit- I’m living my rich life, thanks to you!

This guy perfectly explains the problem with positive thinking and cult of positivity. On one hand you are preaching to focus on the positives, yet at the same time you are so bogged down to focus on the negative about the woman who focused on the negative huh? Doesn't feel too good when it is you who is put on blast huh? Maybe an apology is in order to the lady who may be listening to this who may not be PRIVILEGED enough to have a massive platform as you are Mr. Ramit Sethi.

I feel like they are talking about me! 😂 I am 45 and just now been able to get a decent career and started a 401k and I have money saved in the bank. But I feel like I’m too old to actually build enough money up to retire at 65. I’m just praying I live to 65 as I’ve had health issues in the past and have diabetes. I’ve been serious about getting my health together but still don’t know if I’m gonna make it. I have 5 kids(3 or under6yrs old). I need to know what else I need to do to ensure they will be fine . I know I should get life insurance but I also want to be able to make sure I can be fine if I make it to retirement. I make $60k a yr . I have them take 10% of my check for 401k. Got about $30k in the bank. I’d like to invest more or try day trading. I’d appreciate any advice or help with a plan.
