I love how professional these two are! Yes, they're enemies, but that's only on the clock. After hours, they're good friends. They'll have breakfast together, even cover each other's shift at work, when the other isn't well. I respect that they don't let their job affect their friendship! Definitely my favorite looney tune duo.

I always loved Ralph and Sam's cartoons when I was a kid. My favorite parts of them is when they show that they are friends/ co-workers rather than bitter enemies. watching this just makes me feel all nostalgic

The time clock is such a great bit for a cartoon like this. I absolutely love it!

It's funny how they act like friends when they clock in, have lunch and clock out, but become enemies at all the other times in between.

Yeah, one my favorites exchanges between these two is after a particularly brutal day for Ralph, Sam tells him to take the next day off to recover and that Sam can cover both of their shifts.

Whoever did these cartoons is a real talent….to think of such funny escapades is no simple task. Love it!

I love how they’re just doing their jobs and that they’re able to be civil about it after they clock out

You just can't beat the classics why can't things be like they used to. Looney Toons was the light of my day every Saturday I remember either popping in a DVD, or just turning on the TV, and watching Looney Toons. That's the beauty of it all in the end everyone was friends instead of having to worry about life long enemies.

This is how friends get along around.

I love the running gag that the two of them are like best friends, despite their respective jobs being in opposition to each other. 🤣

props to the new animators for giving sam and ralph some new shorts, they're underrated

honestly one of my favorite ones, it just shows that even tho all the hostility shown, afterwards they can still feel like colleagues and be friendly. something you can't find in our world easily.

I love that they opened with "While Shepherds Watched Their Flocks by Night" as the background music.

Sam the Sheepdog and Ralph the Wolf have always cracked me up.

That's how you separate your work and life.

I like these ones. There’s something good natured about Ralph and Sam being just two guys doing their jobs. I kinda wish they’d ended it with the two trading gifts for real but I like it.

I love the music when Ralph starts turning the sheep on the skewer. Also, I lost it at Sam violently ringing Ralph like a bell.🤣

Ralph showed up in the mid 50ies and Wile E.s first short is from 1949. But who knows, maybe Ralph was on the drawing board earlier. 🤔🤔🤔

This was one of my favorites growing up. Thanks for sharing it!

I have sheep and dogs to guard them. The dogs and coyotes do have a competitive relationship. There is a lot of back and forth vocalizing where they seem to mock each other. Whoever wrote these must have been very familiar with shepherding.

I was surprised that they made Ralph’s fur grey instead of brown. I guess this was done to better differentiate him from Wile E Coyote.

This is what sets the Sam Sheepdog and Ralph the Wolf cartoons apart from the other Looney Tunes, in others they are enimies and rivals but for these two, it's just a job the clock in to do their shift and at the end of the day they're still friends.

I like to imagine that if he ever succeeded, he would just put the sheep back

@mikeef747 This is very modern. You can tell by the lack-luster music. It was first released in July of last year. Mel Blanc didn't do the voices. It's a brand new cartoon.

This was definitely a Christmas episode. Some really funny stuff was going on. Daffy duck never instructed Ralph to know how to steal the sheep. Ralph never masqueraded as one of the sheep. He thought he would pull a fast one masquerading as St. Nick. 🐑 🐏 🐑

I quite agree from myself. The new style of Looney Tunes are full of sarcasm and boring silence. Even Lola bunny is being a bit annoying just like pick me girl who's trying to be cute for Bugs

Their voices in this one seem very different from the old ones i grew up watching.
