Yep. Same thing with Tom and Jerry, rivals on their show. Best friends off it. Same thing with Wiley Coyote and Road Runner. He only wants to eat Road on their show, but during lunch break, he keeps a lunch box on hand.

All buddy buddy when clocking in, then trying to rip off your buddy and getting the crap kicked out of you for doing so, lather rinse repeat, then once it's time to punch out, back to being buddies again. I shudder to think what the shop foreman was like, or who their union reps were.

I had fun a few years ago with a prank you'd enjoy. I won't post the name of the restaurant (probably not allowed) but it's a national chain of chicken fillet sandwich places... They'd offered a freebie that week to people that came in dressed in black and white like a cow. They didn't think my white shirt and black leather blazer fit the requirements. Sooooo.... I went back a couple days later. I'd scrounged up an actual cow costume and borrowed a motorcycle jacket from a much larger friend (mine wouldn't fit over the outfit) and went back, thinking ahead my reply for the comment I figured I'd get from someone.... The girl at the counter didn't get the joke, just liked the costume and gave me the free whatever it was. So I sat inside with a Coke and waited... Sure enough, some uppity know-it-all that couldn't grasp the humor of irony (and acted like I was stupid for wearing leather over a cow costume) FINALLY came over and said... "You're supposed to be a cow, right?" (Me) Yes. I'm a cow (Uppity know it all) " That's dumb! Don't you know leather is made from cows!" I took off the jacket, looked at it, and with terror in my voice exclaimed... " OH MY GOD!!! STEVE!!!!! " 😎👍

How come this never gets old? I grew up with WB cartoons, so did my kids. Today's kids...I wonder sometimes. The old cartoons are "violent and icky". And can anyone tell me why a 2-year-old needs a g'damn cell phone?
