In fact in the UK, I have observed that they hand over clean and furnished houses. You can't get a clean, painted, and furnished apartment here in Canada. Waiting at Emergency in Canada is 15 hours, sometimes even more.

Nice and humble couple. Loved their no nonsense take on things. Just one thing I want to say…. As soon as you come to Canada, find an apartment, then look online for walk in clinics. Living in downtown I could not find any accepting new patients. But when you look at midtown you can find something. Found a family doctor in a few months of looking. Please don’t land up in emergency when it is not an emergency. Crying in pain is not an emergency when people are on deathbed in emergency rooms.

Few clarifications about medical system, NHS (all over world but esp for publicly funded systems), emergency department is for life threatening issues only. There is generally no treatment for Chickenpox as it is a viral infection, also you can not get Chickenpox twice in life. For foot corn only treatment is corn plaster. So please appreciate it. If everyone clogs the Emergency system, when you have a real emergency, you will not get "emergency help" because doctor will be busy seeing foot corns or minor pains that can be helped with paracetamol.

Yes, Yes! You are right that not everyone gets chickenpox second time. But, You CAN get a chickenpox second time. It is not that common but you can get it! Even I was also shocked when doctor told me that only 3% people in the world would get chickenpox second time due to weak immune system. That EXACTLY what happened to me as 1) I was new to canada only 3 months old 2) There was still snow season when I landed 3) It was in very cold province - Saskatchewan So it was lot of adjustment that my body had ti made & my immune systems wasn’t that great at that time. Plus they made me do blood reports to verify this and like I said in the video they made me wait for 4/5 days for blood reports. Once reports came in the doctor itself told me that unfortunately I got chicken pox second time. Just imagine how unlucky & helpless you feel when you know that you come under that category of 3% people in the whole world who gets second time especially when you’re all alone in new countries🥲 My friends also used to tease me by telling me that why don’t you start play lottery if you’re that unique & lucky in the world😂 Anyways, I am all good now! Thank you for taking time to watch our podcast🙌🏼❤️😊

In UK the name Accident and Emergency gives it away. you can not expect urgent treatment in A&E. You also can not demand treatment as its public funded and you will get seen based on your priority. Life threatening will always come on top. The main problem is Indians from India always think their issue is more serious than it actually is. Chickenpox is generally not considered life threatening and there is no medication for it. I noticed that in India doctors will give you something just to make money out of you. btw NI in UK doesnt just pay for healthcare, it also goes towards social welfare and state pension. The houses they were staying in were the cheapest type.

@@EsoteriaHealing care they need not want. Need comes top, more urgent the need higher priority they should get. I once had to go into A&E and was seen by recently arrived Indian doctor. We got chatting I asked him the question given everyone is always complaining about the terrible UKs NHS why has he chosen to work here. His answer was in india patients get what they demand provided they can pay whilst in uk nhs patients get what they need and money doesn’t even get mentioned.

it is really sad in a developed country like Canada in reality it is the most backward as far as the medical system is concerned. My son who is studying who was sick for almost one month who was denied medical attention. Although he had taken self medication with him but that he finished it. Government has to do something about it.

It was very interesting to hear the experiences of the guests on their experience in the UK and CA. I am originally from the UK and living in CA for 6 years. I am not sure what the guests are expecting to get here and UK when it comes to health care. If you do not have any emergency and you go to Emergency or Urgent care you will not be prioritized. I also think that we (Indian ethnicity) are naturally fearful of change and challenge. I learnt this just by being born in the UK and that too in a small rural village, where there was no Indian community. Being part of the English culture, there is no shame in asking questions and being assertive, but our cultural background does encourage that, especially women. I didn't understand how flushing the toilet is linked to Racism, I also feel that there is HR in companies that are there to speak to about workplace harassment. I think the lady is a mix of unaware and over sensitive. My advise to any people coming from India / Pakistan / any south Asian country is to be open minded and friendly, not negative. My overall experience in CA has been very positive, my family is well settled and no racism is experienced🙂 so far thank goodness. Thank you for this podcast.

In my experience both balance out equally. You still have to study, work hard, and be competitive. There are no major positives apart from in Ontario I love the Indian food better. There are lots of good Indian food choices whilst in England we struggled with that. I think if you are willing to make your life better, work hard and have an open mind and willing to learn from everyone you can be successful, but it’s on you and by doing things based on what other people say is not good. You have to be independent and confident.

@@ree_6562 Is the cost of living gotten too high in Canada. I hear about very high cost of living in Toronto but similar salaries to london, bad weather, expensive real estate and poor public transport. Also very limited white collar job market compared to UK and heavy competition for many jobs due to heavy immigration in Canada. I had few people say they had bad experience. Like the UK house market outside of London is very affordable. Average house price is 200k in UK whereas it's 800k in Ontario. Plus good public transport makes living farther easier in UK than Canada. In Canada you need to live within driving distance to Ur workplace so housing and groceries n all too expensive. Tax a bit higher... Is this true also with heavy drug usage in Ontario, poor drivers and high crime (similar to London)... What's Ur opinion on this?

  • @Abhsjsjdn

@@ree_6562 and the fact that most of nice places need u to take a flight. Say, to visit Vancouver or Banff u need a flight and it's expensive compared to say moving wherever in UK by just trains, U can do so many day trips in UK to York, scotland, Wales , bath, Brighton etc and it's so rich in culture history n tourism in contrast to bland strip mall north American cities... Also the access to Europe in very cheap flights under £50 many times makes Canadian nature and tourism inaccessible and nothing in comparison to the opportunities of travel from UK to Europe or within UK most of it is accessible within a day. So I guess Canada seems like a massive down grade in this aspect. The health care index survey put Canada at the bottom of all G7 countries in terms to health care. Yes the NHS is struggling but what my friends told me about the healthcare of Canada was a nightmare... What do u think of this

You can report the incidents relating to Racism to Ontario Human Rights Commission and Human Resources (HR) of your company even if tou feel that you are being discriminateed at work but keep written and detailed log. This incident the girl mentioned is very unfortunate and unacceptable. You will have stand up for yourself. Only risk that you may have to sacrifice your job but the toxic environment tells on physical and emotional health. If you feel some moments of loneliness and rejection. Share with yout friends. I agree with most of the talk because they have come here with realistic expectations. They are gone emotionally mature. Got for them. Do not expect much from others. Trust yourself and keep your chin up and keep working hard, you will be successful one day and will achieve your goals

where exactly does ism not exist? when we move to another place we must be prepared to change reasonably to that community else don't move. there are many people who move and then put themselves and their kids in such a prison it is really sad. Kids grow up so lost.

yes. I have lived in UK most of my life and I can see their knowledge is so limited. They think they can walk into A&E for routine problems. example, I recently had a little accident where I was taken to A&E and had brain surgery within matter of hours because injuries turned out to be more serious. Everything in hospitals is taken care of by hospitals.

But in India you won't feel bad.. you will just retaliate the same way. In other countries you will feel so upset because they are shaming the nationality. It's a different feeling and you are too scared to retaliate because you don't know how dangerous they are since anyone can carry guns.

Because kara is older than Sikhism. And so is the surname Singh. Don't think wearing Kara is exclusive to Sikhs. I'm Maratha Hindu we wear Kara of our local gods for centuries .... It's made of copper or iron or steel these days. Kara is Hindu tradition as well. Maybe Sikhs copied it if anyone copied but I don't think Sikhs copied it's both people's traditions
