@@caparcher2074 i am canadian and i know the system has been abused, the number of illigals in this country are going to grow becuase the government does'nt stop playing the blame game, they will eventully stay by hook or by crook and there is nothing anyone can do to stop it. it may get better when the govenment changes but until then i dont see an end to this, altho it is getting better and there are permit caps, work permit extension caps but from that, riots wiil emerge. A few have benifited and made all the money. The studnets who have been abused and common canadians will continue to suffer and pay for their mistakes. Not really, people literally get huge loans or even sell their properties to "settle" in Canada. Indian Government is not sponsoring anything. If we talk from Canadian perspective, Education is a big industry. It is the greed of these colleges and universities that promote job assurance along side Study. Why should colleges should give assurance on jobs or work permits after the study? If Canada is full, Government should stop all immigration programs. Make students sign agreements that the stay is only for Study and they must return after Study is over. But as a consequence, Canadian Education Industry will break down.

It is my understanding that the protesters in question were granted temporary residency in order to attend university and study abroad. They are not granted permission to stay beyond that point, so if they are using a student visa in an attempt to permanently immigrate, that is not the proper means of doing so.

How about we take away the opulent $370,000 a year salary for all the university professors and administrators; and drop them down to a realistic and fair salary of $88,000. Then we stop allowing any international students in to the country, as they will no longer be required to fund the obscene bloated disgrace which has become the Canadian post-secondary education system.

Do you honestly believe any of these jobs are comparable to the stress, long hours, or disgusting and emotionally devastating nature of the work nurses do? They're just trying to get ahead like anyone else. No one really wants to live in Canada long term, they just want the passport so they can eventually move to America like everyone else wants to.

I'm a contracted cybersecurity specialist for a large company here in Ontario and get to run OSINT (intelligence gathering) on potential new hires for security restricted positions -- at least 95% of the candidates applying are from India and are lying on resumes (credentials, permits, education) in order to get jobs. Some lie a bit better than others, but still - blatent lines in order to take jobs from deserving Canadians. I suspect that any company not running these checks and hiring these folks are stuck once they do hire (or have to make 'accomodation' to keep them employed). Despicable tactics.

When I immigrated the rule was that one can not apply inside Canada. You had to leave the country to apply. Let's get that rule back

As a former international student, the answer is simple. Being here is a privilege not a right. When we signed our documents for entry into this Country we agreed to follow it's laws. The fine print was very clear.

Many of them are getting jobs under the table and getting paid cash and evading taxes. Employers are hiring them below minimum wage and thus replacing jobs that would have gone to Canadians, thus making everything worse for citizens.

Canada does not need scammers and those who cannot support themselves, much less send for their families back in India. Deport and let them apply like everyone else. A student visa is just that, not a license to become a PR and citizen.

Next year when we will remove Trudeau and his team from the office then will send them all to India with Jagmeet to separate Punjab from India and make Khalistan.

That is nonsense. If you have any valid status other than visitor (tourist) there are lengthy appeals before removing someone from the country. Removing a refugee or a PR takes years with the court system until a deportation is finalized. Not adapting to Canadian culture is no reason to deport someone and never will be.

Imo Cali has an illegal Hispanic problem not a legal immigrant problem. People who come to the Us legally know how to speak English well and are educated not the same for Canada as they for some reason are letting in uneducated farmers.

I do hiring for a major retailer in Canada. 90% of interviews were with international students and they would LIE so much and say anything to get what they want. So I wouldn’t believe any of their claims during these rallies.

Its a modern take on a type of human trafficking. Indian officals receive commissions per student sent, and the schools receive huge grants from the government. Follow the money, its a disturbing financial system to get cheap labour by paying a small "finders fee" to trap them here.

I could tell what he was saying. The crowning virtue of English as a language is that unlike Traditional Chinese, which one can only write one basis point at a time, ten thousand characters to fluency, it is possible to write and to speak English intelligibly through a long spectrum of novice ability through which one will at no point ever be mistaken for a native speaker.

You get a visa for a fixed amount of time and for a specific reason, that time is over then be civilized and go back.

anyone who comes to canada doesn't want to simulate to Canadian culture but their own. How the hell can you take license in any language but the road sign are in English.

Everybody knows it, but everyone either lies about it or pretends it's otherwise. The primary motive of international students from low and lower income countries coming to Canada is for permanent residency, registering into a post-secondary course is just the price to pay for PR as far as they are concerned. International students know it, the government knows it, and post-secondary institutions know it. Let's all drop the education charade and have a clear cut policy about immigration through education. One easy way is by strictly requiring that all foreign graduates can ONLY apply for immigration from their home country after graduating from Canada. This is the only way Canada can control the timing, the process and the quality of people.

These guys can hardly take order at drive thru, what makes them think they're good enough for work? They complain about housing in a foreign land, yet they wanna live free.. I hardly see them on a construction site. Last time I worked with a guy from these people, he couldn't even take down a 40 gallon water heater never mind an empty one up the stairs.. Pathetic. They're not meant for work, only studying and spending taxpayers dollars...

Had to drive through brampton last night and airport road was closed at one point because of some kind of something, that is being done every damn Sunday now. Now….i don’t necessarily have a problem with that however, we are expected to accept and welcome new Canadians into every part of our country but if I tried to go into whatever they are doing, I would not be be accepted and that’s wrong. So very very wrong.
