Racial Segregation is.. Good??? - Francis Foster

"We now have a new generation of idiots who think it’s a good idea to separate people on the grounds of race. Because as we all know Martin Luther King’s ideas were trash and most disgustingly of all he was a cis heterosexual man with internalised whiteness."

I couldn't disagree with you more. Racism as a mechanism of supporting ethno-nationalist societies is a superior moral proposition to "anti-racism." Racism, for all intents and purposes, is what prevents all of southeast Asia from becoming Chinese overnight, for example. What does your "anti-racism" do but destroy trust, introduce disharmony, sow division, empower politicians and oligarchs, weaponize population, lay waste to our traditions, and a myriad of other ills ultimately ending up in ethnocide and ethnic cleansing like in, say, London? ...or is ethnic cleansing and ethnocide fine so long as it is only marginally violent and mostly leveraged by fear? Yours is an ideological (basically religious) moral construction you just believe is good, but you can't provide any metrics or basis for your argument's virtues other than vague platitudes, fear mongering over financial issues instead of offering solutions that will create more babies to pay through such issues, the absurd proposition that white people can't follow recipes, or that you'd lose access to a racially diverse pool of spies. How? By what metric is your position moral? Whether you agree or not, by what right to you tell people that they don't have a right to their own racial, cultural, and civic integrity? By what authority does such a morality come down to you from on high? Bullocks! Thank God I don't live there and can't be arrested for having the temerity to disagree!

Most of the Balkan people will tell you we have better and more prominent legacy from when we were subjugated to A-H and were diversified by insertion of Austrians than we do now. It really depends of WHO you're bringing in. If you're the USA and are bringing in the Germans, it's going to be different than if you're bringing in the Afghans. If individuals wish to form and join a social club of people like them, I don't see a problem. This could be a US University of African Americans, a gentleman's club, a women's knitting circle, or even a housing community.

This new-age segregation is possibly even more destructive than the original rendition. With the original we all knew it was messed up, but those in power didn’t care and those enforcing it didn’t care. It was open hostility without any pretension or false morality attached to it. But this? This carries a false air of “unification” of the “oppressed” who must band together against ambiguous pseudo-oppressive forces supposedly at work in society at large. We’re back to pre-judging people based on skin color where folks lose the right to speak or have an opinion if they lack the “appropriate amount of melanin.” After all this time, we’ve still learned nothing.

  • @tubetorpedo

Would not be that sure. First what is the "original" segregation? I am quite sure idea of segregating groups from each others is old as concept of time. Also when people have been segregated I am quite sure there always have been idea to segregate the better and the pure from the lesser and impure people and being part of the higher "pure class" has always unified people against those others. No matter what the current contemporary words people might use about issues have been. Words might be different but it's always outer group them (=bad) v. inner group us (=good) and good people have to stand against the bad people because the bad people threaten or corrupt the good people some how.

A good case could be made of both points of view. Life is messy. Many successful nations are homogeneous (for example Japan), precisely because they believe diversity or at least too much diversity (for example USA) leads to endless social strife.

This is hilarious 😂 and like all good comedy it’s sadly very true. I grew up in an area where as a white person I was a minority and as a child I didn’t even know I was white until I was fighting with a kid and he called me white… which was a huge insult and I was like no I’m not. I was only like 6yr old and I just thought we were all the same. People always say that you can’t be racist to white people but I know that this isn’t true as I’ve experienced it multiple times and so has every white kid who grows up in areas where they are a minority. Racial segregation is never ok and you are so correct when you say that it’s this righteous indignation of these wokies that think they are doing something noble by creating more division and calling it diversity. That being said I actually think the vast majority of people are just living their lives and trying to get along. I still live in the most multicultural area in my country and we all just live together.

I agree. We like what we grow up with. I never saw a person that wasn't white till my teens. Even though I learned and appreciated their cultures I knew I didn't belong because they had an upbringing in that culture and I didn't. That is the simple truth. The race arguments muddy the waters and are unnecessary.
