RABAT - Never expected this AMAZING capital of MOROCCO! (Travel Vlog)
In this travel vlog I'll show you the real Rabat. The capital city of Morocco is not the biggest on the tourist trail, but certainly has it's charms and was really the biggest surprise of my trip!
I'll show you not just the sights such as the Hassan Tower, Mausoleum of Mohammed V, Chellah, Kasbah des Oudayas, the Parlement of Morocco, St. Peter's Cathedral, the Medina, Rabat beach and the waterfront, but also around the central areas of the city that you're likely to visit as a tourist and some of the great food you can find there.

Rabat is basically divided to three parts: - old medina (old city 700 years old, includibg Oudaya where pirates lived back in 16 century) - colonial city (where the train station is) - New city is what was build after the independance 1956, and this needs transportation to go from place to place. Personally I love Rabat, it gives good vibes and you can live the history and modern times (talking food, clothes, music…).

@@ChrisKermis Hi Chris, those pirates are the direct descendents of all the moorish people expelled from spain in 1492 or later in 1609 (jewish and muslims). They tried to create their own city under the control of the sultans Saadi or later Alaouite dinasty sultans. The pirates did even reach the costs of Britain (Island of Lundy in Bristol Channel), Baltimore in West Cork Ireland and even reached Iceland. Those old houses you visited in the old city (medina) are the same houses where pirates or slaves were living. Same street but today it has electricity and internet 😂 Each corner of my city Rabat can talk about the history that it have seen since the 12th century. Thank you for you video and Merhba 🙂
