My theory: Harry already knew Katherine well before the night Mr. OP met her for the first time Harry and Katherine started a scheme to swindle the settlement money for Rachels death from Mr. OP Harry trains/coaches Katherine in all the things that Mr. OP would find attactive and comforting Harry introduces Katherine to Mr. OP, Instantly "hitting" it off with him Mr. OP falls for Katherine and they start their relationship Harry and Katherine seemed too excited over the prospect of marriage, and if they was to get married, Katherine could have found an easy way out of the marriage and there by getting half of the estate. Katherine would have taken that divorce settlement and lived happily ever after with Harry.

I kinda get the feeling that was the point, and that OP had come to the same conclusion. (thus why he made mention of the "very large estate left by Rachel" a few times.) Harry had a party at his house for this woman he just hired and seemed very eager to introduce OP to the woman who seemed to be Rachel 2.0? The new woman just happened to know all the right things to say to remind OP of Rachel, etc? I don't know, there are too many coincidences for my liking. It almost seems like the long con - After all, in Harry's eyes, OP had at least 2 homes, a good paying job and a settlement payout "10 times what the company offered", and all harry and katherine needed to do to get their hands on his money, was play along and live rent free in OP's home for 4 years.

Moral of the story: If you stop loving or don’t love the person you’re with, DON’T leech off of their hard earned money while cheating with his/her best friend. Grow a pair and be honest with your partner, and break up with them for their sake. It’s the most humanly decent thing to do in that situation. I dont think it's on purpose. It's all down to mixing laundry load. If the gf washed the clothes of the cheat with her current bf and they hand similar clothes once or twice it's easy to separate out but after a while everything gets blurry. I had this happened to me and my dad. We swap clothes because our clothes are so similar. Granted they're just undershirt.

He didn't TECHNICALLY use violence... he never raised his fists against them, nor did he pick up a firearm or any other weapon at anyone... he didn't even bully them into submission or pain. he just planned a perfect set up on a drug abuser and a couple of cheaters... he destroyed their lives without lifting a finger at them directly. bravissimo!!

this is reddit. many of these stories are improvised literature. i am inclined to believe it isnt true. or at least most of especially harry.

The only thing that I could really think to comment on this story is how sorry I feel for OP after he lost his wife and unborn child. I actually shed a few tears after hearing that.

He obtained narcotics, planted his own property to make it look stolen, filed a fraudulent police report, planted evidence at two locations, called the police about a crime that wasn’t happening to get someone he framed arrested, fired, and imprisoned, these are all malicious crimes and the OP should be the one in prison.

only if he got caught with proof to back up the claim. Since they (harry and Kathrine) didn't know he had caught them and was planning this, all they'd have is accusations. Since the accusations would be coming from the two cheaters people are more likely to chalk it up to spite.
