Cool primer. One thing I think that will help newcomers too is to go for the bees when they flash. Green is much more useful for the meter yeah but sometimes having the gold bees clear the screen can give a player some breathing room. Anyways good stuff man and very useful since new players seem to be drawn to this game more often than others.

Very useful vid! I imported DoDonPachi Daioujou on X360 (after playing it at a friends on PS2) and I love the game. 100% achievement hunted that game. Recently bought Dai Fukkatsu on Steam as I didn't even know it existed. It's great, but I'm finding the secret bosses hard to find.

The secret bosses are all about getting into the URA route, if you want to be forced into this route, pick "POWER" mode!

Thanks! If the guide helps one person, it's worth it for me ...There's a lotta stuff packed in there! One thing I may not have mentioned is if you play Autobomb off, you have to collect the bomb powerups with FULL bomb/hyper stock to get the increase in stock, like from 3 stock to 4 stock, for example. So you want to route in such a way that you have full stock before you pick those up.

Me: I think I'm sticking Crimzon Clover for the foreseeable near future. Me after watching this: Maybe I should go and get DFK on the next payday.

Ohhh I wouldn't say this game is better than Crimzon Clover ;) but they're both quite good, this is a fun game, especially Novice Black Label!

Thanks for your explanation Aktane! I always only stick with v1.5 on DFK, I should try this black label mode. looks fun with the rank meter + combination shot/laser (and still auto bomb that's great) and not over-complicated mechanics.

Black Label is tougher but give Novice Black Label a shot first! It's a super fun mode but definitely seems tougher than 1-all 1.5 because it is a 1 loop mode 🤔😎

Four hours in, and I'm just learning that green bees increase hyper. This is going to be handy as I've got the all clear on Novice, and can get to the true final boss at Normal on 3cc right now. Not sure if I'll ever all clear at Normal as those final bosses seem like bullet sponges. DoDanPachi, despite being easy to pick up and play, also has a lot of cryptic mechanics, it seems.

Yeah lots of tiny things, this one especially... I think for normal you want no Autobomb and you want to learn these strats where you use bombs on certain patterns to refill hyper

For some reason I thought Autobomb in Black Label used all your bomb stock rather than just one bomb?! Well TIL I was wrong.

It helps you ration your resources as a new player too! With AB OFF you can just waste things early and dodging is a little risky

I actually recently did a 1cc for 1.5 Novice (I was able to get to 2-5) and I really wanna do more for Black Label. Version L is also pretty interesting with the overall mechanics so I'm trying to get into both. I'll definitely look more at this guide once I start doing more for BL. Anyways, awesome vid as always!

@@AKTANEARCADE Thanks!! They were various mess ups with me bumping into bullets but I overall did pretty well for my first 1cc in a DDP game.

i still cannot open Ura route without in 1.51 even i have use power mode (to make the hyper activate pretty quick and when in the silo i destroy the silo without the tank crush the silo first and still no ura loop available afterward

@@soratheorangejuicemascot5809 I wouldn't know. For me, The game doesn't run well, drops frames and acts weird. I'll get into it one day though. For now I have barely touched it. If you know what to do, it's not too bad is what I'm seeing. But if you don't, it's going to be a big timesink until you figure out what you're supposed to be doing

I’m so fucking pissed that I have to ask this, but where the fuck is the hyper meter? That is, when do you know when you can use your hyper? I thought it would obviously be the red bar in the top right but NO. When it’s full sometimes I cant use hyper, and when it’s not full sometimes I can use hyper. What the fuck? Am I just a MORON?

Nah! It's not a stupid question at all. So at 1:16 or so look top left it's the meter right above where your ship extends are, in this case little green helicopter. It is yellow and then turns flashing, see it do that? That means hyper is ready, but also... Your ship indicates this with a ring around the ship, once you pop hyper that ring AND meter at top left show you how much hyper you got left! Keep watching this segment of the guide and look top left and at the ship 👌🏾😎 As an aside the bar on the top right is a rank meter that controls game difficulty! I would say honestly just ignore it for now 🤣
