I thought I would begin my journey to take on DDP DFK Black Label Arcade. With that I wanted to get familar with Autobomb Off style of play and so I went back and did Novice with AB Off to derust and understand the mechanics... along with the BEE locations which seem to be super important.... I did some pretty suspicious dodges in stage 3 but also got hit a few times in places I shouldnt have... so wasnt the best run.... but I got to the end! THEN I WAS ATTACKED!!! by a TLB hahaha but I got lucky and had enough resources to take BIG BEE (Taisabachi) down (for the first time!) - primarily because I got the second extend (somehow!) - :) enjoy!

Enjoy the run! It was fun, I love black label novice so much. Its definitely a suboptimal run but made it to the finish regardless!

I've been grinding BL for a little while, and it's a struggle I've seen some farm posts suggesting that the BL 1cc is cake, but not for me. Stage 1 to 4 are easy, but Stage 5 is too much for me without all the autobombs you get in 1.5. My best 1cc is mushi maniac, and i'm finding BL to be harder. Maybe it's just because

It's so much more complicated mechanically and with resource management I'm a shmup caveman, i just wanna dodge shoot bomb like in mushi I don't have yagawa big brain to manage the rank and resources Looking forward to any shmup-mortal-tailored advice you can give on stage 5

@@ishimoto1597 you might be well beyond me on the mortal side! I am trying to get familiarity with these mechanics (as you said) specifically hyper/bomb recharge, and bee locations, not to mention increasing bomb stock (no miss necessary)... I'm not sure I myself can attempt BL arcade hence the novice play first (I'll do strong next)... Stage 5 is just a huge wall and most players I know who clear BL arcade do a no miss until stage 4 boss at least. And then they resource drop stage 5 a lot, like bombs during the wheels, and hyper constantly and use Bees to clear the screen and reposition.

@@ishimoto1597 TLDR: learn to drop bombs through the entirety of stage 5 basically, preemptively, and when you get to stage 5 final boss there is a trick I've heard of where you bomb and sit on top of canisters to recharge another bomb. Just bomb all day and hyper all midbosses, and bomb final.

@@AKTANEARCADE yeah this is the plan, but i always just run out of resources, especially with AB on, cuz your bomb stock stays at 3 per life unlike 1.5 where you get more every time you die

@@ishimoto1597 oh I should mention no one uses AB on... Everyone uses AB off, hence all my talk about recharging / restocking bomb/shypers (can't do that with AB) and why I derusted AB off in novice. You are severely lacking in resources for AB on! Do not do that! Switch to AB off! That will give you a HUGE boost, almost double the resources
Super good run! I also had a 1-All to Taisabachi with AB on some weeks ago. Hope someday I'll try to upload it, considering how I have a switch lite.

@@AKTANEARCADE My exact problem, capturing it is gonna be a pain cause of no video chips on the Lite. Meaning, not the same capability that Normal Switches have with capturing.

I got the DFK novice 1cc ages ago, but I still haven't made black label's 1cc. I found it surprisingly tough, but then again I also suck.

Bomb AB Type B? I can give ya some tips if you need - you should be able to do it!

@@AKTANEARCADE I was using type B ship but I don't remember what else I was doing with my settings. It was on switch, on joycons actually. Which was probably not making things any easier. I could get to around the laser death pinwheel FML-a-thon if I was lucky.

@@TheSamuraiGoomba do B Ship, Bomb Style, AB = On to start, and ignore the red meter, use shot+laser, and just honest dodge, and use hyper as much as you can. hit the Bees to clear the screen or recharge hyper... You should be able to just sort of skill and autobomb your way through, dont forget the hidden extend, its the same one from DFK regular.! good luck!
so I'm going to watch this aktane, but is there any input lag etc? or anything I should worry about?
