Thanks for the video, there's some great tips in here, I've referred to this a few times over the past couple years, and I just now finally got my C-ship 2-all (680K). I can't even imagine trying without the back shot or the charge shot. It's the first game I've ever 1ccd other than DS2 (which was way way easier)

I played around with B a little bit, and I like the primary shot more, but I don't like the way the charge weapon works, it's better for bosses, since it explodes where it hits and stays there for a second, but C's charge can just carve through everything! Sword! I was always eating a bunch of lives on 1-4 Gradius section trying to go through it in ship mode, but mech+sword makes it waaay safer. Plus it's just cool! The energy ball against grapefruit boss is a lot more exciting than the drill battle

My dude! When i heard the music i had such a nostalgia trip. If i remember correctly the best way to get a high score is to stick with the same weapon so you can collect points from the power'ups and shoot all the enemy ship formations for bonus points. Brilliant game! And nice clear!

But I have the Hori twin stick EX for Xbox 360, Maybe 🤔 if you use a controller adapter and if the game has enough button binding and stick binding options you could make it work? See these sticks are digital, ... Does Gundam use digital or analog sticks?

As you say, the perfect marketing, look and sound to hit and sell a ton of copies. Actual depth? Meh. You want the real shit? Get on that Final Fight arcade, Streets of Rage 2, Fight 'n' Rage, Vendetta (Crime Fighters 2) or Warriors of Fate 2. Boss fights in Shredder's Revenge are extra ass, too.

Juat seen a video by Sharopolis that explains how this game is doing stuff that not supposed to be possible on 8bit systems. So this is Definitely a gem and the developers did an amazing job. Are you playing it on real hardware or what emulator because it's the first time I seen it in color

@@btkchaosreaperj.c7642 so if you drop it into a Gameboy color - as most Gameboy games - you get to pick a palette and you get a "colorized" version. Since I grew up mostly with gameboy pocket and color, never had an original green one, that's what I use... I'm playing this on a MiSTer FPGA, so definitely not real hardware I'm afraid. The background "strobing" on real hardware looks like transparency (one of the tricks!) and part of it is how real hardware has a bit of smearing due to the lack of LCD "speed" basically. Can you link the video you mentioned here? ☺️🙏🏽

Yeah I've put 600 hours into Streets of Rage 4, most of it on the Survival/Rogue-lite mode, but also enjoyed MANY of those hours with my wife. Really a perfect indie game although the AI can be a LITTLE too perfectly timed in their aggression on the higher difficulty and actually seemed specifically programmed to end your combo streaks if you don't time some attacks close to perfect. I was SO excited for this Turtles game but completely agree--too long and not satisfying gameplay-wise, especially after SoR4's brilliance. The most fun I had with this game was casually playing with 4 friends. Five dudes playing this game couch co-op is a vastly better experience than playing it single. That definitely seems to be what they intended. It's really more of a party/casual game and with 4-6 players it's much better. Especially if drinking.
