Quick & Easy OAT WAFFLES | vegan, plant-based, gluten-free, healthy breakfast idea

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, the experts tell us, making perfect sense to me. It is what gives your body the fuel it needs for the day ahead. I love breakfast. I often go to sleep planning what I will eat the following day. When oat waffles are on the menu, it is a happy morning. These breakfast oat waffles are unbelievably delicious. Honestly, if you have never had oat waffles for breakfast, you have been missing out. Super easy, super healthy, super tasty, and one of my favorite breakfast foods.
I first had breakfast oat waffles while visiting my aunt and grandma in Norway. Traditionally Norwegians make waffles for afternoon and evening treats, but my aunt made oat waffles for breakfast. To make them healthy, she made them with oats, and the inspiration for this recipe was born. We usually enjoyed them, with the sun and fresh air streaming through an open window-such happy memories. Do not underestimate the impact of healthy oat waffles on the happy memories of your family. I am proof of that.

Thanks for that tip to put the liquid/milk at the bottom of the blender. I have a vitamix and I'm always struggling with it but maybe it would help if I put the liquid in first.

Great recipe but I read somewhere that the phrase breakfast is the most important meal of the day was started and promoted by cereal companies so it's a marketing and advertising gimmick. I have breakfast because my body feels useless and can't do anything without it so my body needs it. Love the video and all your video's and you & your family🥰

Hi there! Loved your video! In your opinion would it be possible to cook the waffles and freeze them, then reheat them on the day? I don't really have enough time to make the batter and cook it in the morning! Thank youu x

Hi Ani, In your video your waffle mix looks thick. Mine looks like a oat milk when blended. Is 2 1/2 cups of milk to 2 cups of quick oats correct? Anyone else give this a go. I have had success with your other recipes. Thank you and God bless!

Hi Alexander! Great question! My batter always looks a bit thin when I first blend it. It will thicken up as it sits.

Well not only Norwegians but even Indians really love cardamoms ...we call it "elaichi" ...and we put it in sweets and teas and even Currys and veggies...

I totally understand, Lucy! Cleaning a waffle iron disaster can be tedious. Although, this Oat Waffle batter thickens as it sits. I need to get my hands on a Belgian Waffle iron and try it. You have a beautiful channel. I have subscribed:)

Now, that's brilliant!!! I love oat milk, although it isn't as readily available where I live... so I use almond milk. But next time I get my hands on oat milk we are making Oat Milk Waffles:) Thank you for the idea.
