This was an illegal raid for one. You can't legally break into someone's property without a warrant and then come back and get a warrant after. The government never provides a person with an attorney before they are charged with a crime. He has not been charged with a crime yet; the investigation is ongoing. It's not disturbing at all; you don't have a clue how national security secrets are protected. Once he is charged, his attorney will have access to everything. You don't let national security information out until needed to; as of now, his attorney doesn't need that information unless he is in charge. He has not been charged yet, and the investigation is on going.

The judge that signed the warrant and the clerk that filed it, get a certified copy of their bond and put a lien on it until you get your answers. Be prepared if they try to intimidate you after this because the judge and clerk can no longer act under/on behalf of the government. If they claim the right to work under immunity, it’ll be under “color of law” and not the government. Another gem whenever you go to court, make sure you have a certified copy of every public servants bond in the courtroom and file it under your case with the clerk. When they ask why you say because I haven’t seen the orderbook of the courtroom and I don’t know if I’m dealing with public servants or a person acting under color of law.

And our elected representatives just reauthorized FISA, just freaking wonderful.

If it was a valid warrant it should have clearly stated what criminal violation was being investigated. It doesn't sound like that was included, or it may have been redacted. I don't see how the warrant could be considered valid without that being made clear to the property owner.

I have had similar encounters with OSI myself and they are by far the lowest rung of law enforcement.

He found out something he wasn’t supposed to but he doesnt know which secret. And they are not going to tell him.

The government needs to pay this man and return his property. They are thrives and they need to tell him why they raided him. The judge needs to be in trouble for signing the warrant.

To correct the unecessary Google/KZread blue box, the official name is Edwards Air Force Base North. Are 51 is a large rectangle of land once used for nuclear bomb tests. In the Eastern quarter, there is the Groom Lake air base, where experimental aircraft are assembled and tested.

WHAT AREyou talking about area 51 is on NNSS. That is all there needs to be said about ti. they never tested nuclear bombs at area 51, they did at area 6-12 but never 51 where they have always had a base.

This is horrible. Like I could say so many things how this is wrong but I'm just going to say how horrible to do this to a person.

All that for a website? Federal agents should not be surprised when they get blown away by an armed citizen one of these days. We have a legal right to do so.

The only thing I can think is that something showed a test flight but everyone already knows that base is used to test military aircraft and prototypes.

What lawyer would take a case like that when the government would simply close down his business. Every president signs a executive order waving all such investigations into these special project of the highest national security.

Well you found something for sure that they didn't want anyone to see. More than likely it wasn't anything obvious but something that if seen by the wrong people would put 2 and 2 together to make 4.

OP didnt say 'he did something wrong' - just that he stumbled onto and published something that was both true and dangerous to the government, quite possibly without realising its importance.

Purely intimidation tactics. They want him gone. He’s unknowingly seen and/or documented something and they need to shut it and him down before it’s shared. Citing FISMA, the hard to believe it continues to be deemed Constitutional when applied to US citizens domestically, is the incredibly lazy, underhanded method of accomplishing that which the law otherwise rightfully prohibits. I don’t say this as an offhand assumption but rather I’m speaking as a recent AF retiree after 30 years of service as a Jag who was assigned as a judge
